    Horrible sound

I bought this to replace my Logitech speakers. Big mistake. The base on it is non existent and it sounds horrible for a "room filling" sound. I would say its good as a desk speaker and that's about it. I love my Logitech and will stick with the same speaker just the new Bluetooth version. This JBL is not great. If you want good base and good loud sound you may need to go with a more expensive speaker from them.

My husband bought me the JBL Flip speaker for Christmas and right up to just last week I loved it! Absolutely no problems, great sound, etc. But on Monday, March 18, 2013 it decided to quit working with my iPad after about 1 1/2 minutes of play time. At first I thought it was just the Bluetooth connection so I disconnected the Bluetooth and tethered it to the iPad with a belkin cable. It did the exact same thing over and over again with the Bluetooth connected or not! We sent an email to JBL asking for help and their so called experts told us that we had to turn up the volume on the iPad and only control the sound by the FLIP! Seriously! Even though we knew that this was probably untrue we tried it and of course we were right it was and it didn't work! I know this is not an Apple product but we did buy it from the Apple store and it kind of makes me lose faith in your external product endorsements! I am not sure what to do next?? Can somebody help me out?? Any ideas??

Sounds great for about the first hour then scratchy then refuses to join the network it worked on yesterday. Website support is useless. I'd return this product but it's too much trouble to figure it out on the website. I will never buy a JBL product again. Thought I could trust Apple to retail good products, but they're about as trustworthy as Walmart.

    Bluetooth cuts off...

I've had this product about a month and while it seem to work okay at first, now the Bluetooth connection continually cuts off after about a minute or two. I'm sure this is a problem of the JBL Flip speaker because 1) my other speakers work well with connected to the same phone, and 2) other reviewers have mentioned the same problem. Too bad because like other reviewers I am impressed by the sound quality.

Didn't work with my iPad mini...

Got it for Christmas. It worked fine with my iPod. Great sound. But it did not work with my iPad mini. So I went back to the Apple Store. I've tried with a different package. It was same. iPad mini didn't recognize JBL Flip. So I had to return it. Too bad... BTW, at the Apple Store, the person who was helping me tried to connect her iPad with JBL Flip. It didn't work either.

    Problems with JBL Flip

The Bluetooth would only synch with iPod5 and not accept iPad 2nd generation nor the iPhone 4. The other problem was songs and audiobooks would skip while playing even when the Flip was less than 10 ft away from from the iPod. There is a video review on Youtube made recently that shows the skip problem. I am returning this product and contacting JBL about the problems.

    Seriously weak bluetooth connection??

Just bought a JBL Flip. Absolutely LOVE the sound. BEST of all mobile speakers we've tried and a steal at $99! But the bluetooth connection is seriously weak (useless)! Anyone else has problem their Flip's bluetooth connection? A wall or a thin door will cause the Flip some dropouts in data causing skips in audio! The crazy thing is if I put my body in between my phone and the JBL Flip, it causes drop out already!!! In contrast, a first gen Logitech mini boombox doesn't sound as good as the Flip, but it has no problem sending signals pass 2-3 walls perfectly! Does anyone else have problem with their Flip's bluetooth connection? I am hoping I just have a defective unit but I don't know ...
