    Do not buy!

    • Written by from Huntsville

Bought the cord less than a year ago and it has already stopped working. My laptop/tv don't even recognize that it is plugged in anymore. Very disappointed, especially considering how much I paid for this. Do not buy this product unless you want to have to buy it again in another 10 months! I love apple and all the products I've bought from them…except this one. Extremely annoyed and disappointed!!!

    Really terrible cable

    • Written by from Marina del Rey

I wish I could upload the pic of what this cable did after a few months of light, infrequent use. Before it broke, I'd sometimes use the cable to stream video to my tv from my Macbook Pro. The part that you insert into the Macbook came completely unattached from the rest of the cord. This product is so cheaply made - it's ridiculous. And terrible. I tried to give it ZERO stars, but this site won't allow that. :(

    Don't buy this.

    • Written by from South Chesterfield

I bought this product in April. By June, it was no longer working reliably. Today, it is not working at all. This is the biggest waste of money and Belkin customer service is a joke. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing this.....

After talking to one of the employees at apple to check if this product worked. My first time using it, it didnt work. I have a 2012 Macbook pro, the display worked but it had a ugly green tint, after updating the software, changing the setting on my Macbook and TV it still didn't work.

Only works well the first month. I used it about 5 times with a great resolution, then it started to show a green screen in my TV that will happen on and off. I didn't used it more than 7 times ( no more than 7 movies) when it stopped working. DO NOT BUY!!!!

Worked for just a month :(

    • Written by from Istanbul

I bought this cable in April 2013 and just worked fine for only couple of months. I never bend or abuse the cable it was always plugged on the same TV. When I went to the apple store to return it, I learned that they can't replace it and I have to get in touch with Belkin. I gave it another change and bought another one in March 2014 and now it's not working. Still trying to get in touch with Belkin and it's not easy. Just get something more reliable.

    Waste of Money

    • Written by from Voorhees

This cable worked great at first, but after two weeks of moderate use, the picture and audio would flicker on and off (similar to a kid playing with a light switch) to the point where we would have to prop the cord at a certain angle for it to stay on. After a week of that it completely gave out. Not with it!

    2 went bad!

    • Written by from Westlake Village

I had not one but two of these cables go bad within a one week period. Even the genius at the Apple store told me this accessory has a lot of issues. I don't mind overpaying for good products but this product only lasted a few months (twice). When I go to the Apple Store I expect them only to sell the best of the best... they clearly missed on this one.

    Breaks easily

    • Written by from La Veta

It worked great at first but the Mini DisplayPort side of the cable broke when my laptop was bumped lightly. It took some work to get the little piece out of the port on my laptop. For how much money I paid for this, I would have expected it to be able to take more than just a little bump before breaking. I replaced it with a much cheaper cable from another company that works just as well and seems to be put together a lot better than this one that cost almost 10 times as much.

THunderbolt to HDMI Adapter Itunes Issue

    • Written by from Round Rock

Here is a big problem with these adapters. I bought a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter. They claim it gives you better video quality right? Well thats true. But what they don't tell you is that if you purchase any HD movies or TV shows or any HD content from iTunes it WILL NOT PLAY on your HD Tv. WHY? its some kind of protected content scheme. You will get an error message that says " this display is not authorized to play protected content To play this movie in HD, you must move the entire window onto a built-in display or a display that supports HDC"
So in other words, DONT WASTE your Money!

There are literally thousands of threads of complaints about this on Apple Support and other Mac sites.

    Poor product

    • Written by from Deep River

This cord did what it was supposed to exactly 3 times before it quit. The HDMI end of the cord was hot and no signal was received from the computer. I've tried over and over to exchange it with Belkin but they are very hard to get in touch with and their online exchange site keeps giving me an error code. This was an expensive cord and I'm really disappointed. I see that I'm not the only one having trouble either. Don't take a chance on this one.

    A regrettable purchase

    • Written by from Richmond

Was working fine at first and had no issues then two weeks later after inactivity the cord doesn't even work anymore. TV won't detect it and my macbook pro just keeps flashing blue.

Not to mention how much I paid for this cord.

Save your money and find a more reliable brand.

    Works great at First

    • Written by from Tacoma

I have had this cable for a little less than a year now. I had it plugged into my Macbook air (mid 2011) it worked great for a few months. I noticed that sometimes I would have to play with it a bit to get a connection. Now its totally not working. I think 50 bucks is a lot to pay for a cable that wont even last for a year. Mind you I unplugged it daily to take my Macbook to school so maybe if your connecting it to your IMAC or something you wont be moving around it may perform flawlessly but it didn't work out for what I needed it for.

Great cable, but a little on the expensive side.

    • Written by from Pittsburg

Functions perfectly so far. Very elegant looking connectors with a glossy white plastic finish and curved shell. Slightly thick cable that's gray in color.

Overall, it works perfectly as intended, looks aesthetically pleasing. The only downside is that incredible price. This cable shouldn't be more than $30 max.
