saw this case on website and liked the look and idea of it plus i already have another case made by the same company so i know its a quality product. i've had this case on for a week now and i love it. the feel of the leather is nice when you dont have any cards in you barely notice that it's supposed to be a wallet case. overall another excellent product made by HEX. would definitely recommend this product to people.

I really love the idea of my license & credit cards with my phone, but I don't love breaking the screens on 2 iphones within 1 month, both in Hex cases. I had an iphone for 2 years & didn't break it, even with dropping it countless times, so I came to the conclusion it has to be the case. Also, the case doesn't cover all the edges of the phone, so that may be the problem. Hex needs to improve their case because the importance of phone protection outweighs the benefit of easy credit card access.

Purchased this from the Apple store immediately after I received my iPhone. Great looking case that's very comfortable! However, I did hit the case on a table (not too hard!) and it chipped. More easily damaged than I thought it would be with that impact. However, very happy with it. Highly recommend!

Had this for almost a month now, and it is holding up well. At first, I was skeptical because the case material felt rough and it was hard to get the cards in and out.

Now, I am pretty happy with it. The Case is wearing well, no signs of tears yet, and the inner part of the case is soft so I feel like it is going to treat the phone well. no complaints.

I had stopped by the TUMI store to take a look at their leather case and wasn't quite impressed because theirs is only leather on the back, but like an iPhone bumper on the sides. This one is more like the Coach iPhone cases (they looked and felt nice, but they didn't have any for the iPhone 5) in that it is all leather. I'm not sure if it is 100% leather (i.e., if the interior is supported in some way by plastic), but the leather is on the back and the sides as is clear from the pictures.

I also considered a hard case such as the rubberized Speck and the Adopted or Incase clear snap on cases. I didn't like the thickness and look of the Speck (rubber inside, hard shell outside) and didn't like the idea of simply a clear hard shell. So this case fit the bill the best.

    1) nice look with the leather in a pebbled deep burgundy red
    2) while not "cushioned" on the inside, I'm hoping that the construction of leather (rigid leather) gives it some cushioning without the added bulk like the Speck
    3) it's stiff and a bit tough to put on the first time, but if you put it on multiple times I'd expect it to become more pliable, for better and worse. One thing I was concerned about with the harder cases is that they might put micro scratches on the metal band. So far, putting on the case and taking it off hasn't done anything noticeable, though the plastic cases shouldn't be so hard either to scratch the metal band.
    4) The card slots really are for just two cards. They may become more flexible with use, but take the minimalist approach with the card slots, just as the iPhone seeks the minimal bliss. One ID, one card.

I've had a flexible case (perforated back) in the past that left some scratches on the back of an iPhone 4S. I'm hoping this closed back case does the job of keeping the phone free of scratches from trapped particles as well as providing sufficient protection when accidentally dropped on the pavement. With just enough lip over the front screen, close fitting edges, and all corners snuggly clasped, it looks good so far. And it should be easy enough to remove when I don't want the case on.

Concerning a sharpness comment by a reviewer, I did notice some variation in the finish of the cases. Most were rounded on their edges, but one did have a sharp rough edge near the wake button. So be sure to find one without sharp edges or simply file down the sharp edge to smooth it. The thickness of the sides of the case will still make operating the buttons a bit more difficult, but unless you have a case that covers the buttons, that'll probably be what you get with any of these open button snap on cases.

I love this case. Super smart idea. I can actually fit a bunch of cards in this case.
