    Waste of Money

    My husband and I needed a reliable monitor for our son because he has had a few seizures at night. After our first monitor died and after carefully reading reviews, it looked like the iBaby was the best option out there for us, especially since we could see him everywhere and anywhere on our phones. Turns out we were completely wrong. The volume spontaneously changes on its own. Even at its highest setting, you can hardly hear anything. Every other time we would try to turn it on, there was a "network error." We'd have to turn on and off the camera and iPad several times to try and get them to sync. We even invested in a new router for better service, it didn't make a difference. We were finally so fed up when we kept getting the "network error" on our iPad and both iPhones. We spent over an hour trying to troubleshoot it and nothing worked. We also tried calling customer service and they are only available M-F 9am-5pm PST. This is an untrustworthy product.

    Not Ready of Prime Time

    They need to go back to the drawing board with this one. I received mine on Friday. While my son was napping I set it up in the kitchen to test it out. Worked great! So easy to set up. After dinner I installed it in my son's room. This time I couldn't get it to work. Turns out they were having network issues, and I wasn't able to log back on until Saturday morning. Then it was unstable all weekend, so it kept cutting out. Monday it went down completely again. When it came back up it was still unstable. You're at their mercy since there is no option to locally stream the video. You must go through their network. Their response after I contacted them? "Network errors happen sometimes." Nice. Not even an attempt to assure me this is an unusual situation or that their network is usually more stable than what I'd seen in the short time I'd owned the product. In sum, the product is completely unreliable as a baby monitoring device, and even when it works it's not that great. The companion app is buggy, the video is decent, but the sound is horrendous. It goes up and down in volume on its own. The sound and motion alerts are way too sensitive. The user manual claims there is a setting to adjust the sensitivity, but that is wrong. Maybe they copied that tidbit over from the manual for the M3? The only option for those settings is on or off. Thank goodness Apple has a decent return policy!

    - pretty complicated to set up, having to plug the USB cord from your phone (instructions, were pretty useless)
    - connection to the wifi (main floor) and camera (2nd floor) fails constantly.
    - LOUD obnoxious double beep, happens every re-install software
    - when it losses connection (because why else?) it (CAMERA) repeats said beeps! Waking up anyone sleeping in the vicinity (BABY!!)
    -to reconnect, most times you just have to log back in and close (repeat x3-4) the ibaby app.
    -there is no iBaby view in the AppStore. It's just iBaby.
    -the delay is crazy. I seriously can't trust it to tell me on time what's going on. When you push the talk back button, talk then turn it back to listen, you will hear what you've said a few seconds later. That to me is too long of a delay to be trusted. (I've also accidentally pushed the talk button on the phone, a lot)
    - you WILL have to re-install by plugging phone to camera
    - zooms horrible
    - sound crackles. It must have a sensor that amplifies the volume when there's sound. Or a fluff that landed near it and thought I was missing out.
    -sometimes it will max out the volume for no reason, then just quit altogether
    -it does alert you when there is no connection, but as it semi connects and glitches again, it starts over. So you might get the warning it's not working for 10 or so minutes. Or more. Seriously. I'm not making this up.
    - amazing idea with it having the magnetic base.
    - you can manually face it in any direction.
    - pretty descent night vision.
    - if the camera is in a good mod, it'll let you spy when you're not home.
    - being able to use the big screen of iPad as a video monitor, awesome. (If you want the scratching static fairies to whip you awake over a snore)
    - I don't get what the nighttime button is for.
    - I love being able to snap a pic on the app (not phone)
    -and having a milestones section in app

    Poor product, not worth $150..

    The quality of the camera is extremely poor and is nothing close to what is displayed on the box. There's about a 5 second delay on the camera and the movements are very choppy. The audio quality is poor and when I was using it there were network problems constantly, making it hard to stay connected. If this product wa $30 it might be worth it; otherwise i'd recommend looking elsewhere for a baby monitor.

    Ditto, same as the lady from drumheller. Hard to setup, temperamental, motion alerts all day while I'm at work, but unable to view anything and I have both 3G and wifi. Not sure why it works at home but not away. I really didn't buy the camera to use across the hall from baby's room. I bought it as I work away and don't have the luxury to be home every night. Spend your money on something else. Ignore the good reviews from ibaby "friends"

    Do not buy this product

    Terrible product. Out of the box, it seemed to work ok. Had some delay on the audio and video. Shortly after, things started to deteriorate. It started with constant movement and sound alerts every 20 seconds when there was no movement or sound present in the room with the baby. Then it became an issue with the audio. It got very staticky one day. And now the monitor will not connect to wifi despite every effort for the last 2 hours. All of these problems still persist. None of them were ever resolved. Do not buy this product.

    This monitor is useless. Worst thing I ever bought from Apple.

    I know Apple didn't make this product. I am reminded over and over. The connection errors, firmware upgrades that didn't download. Constant freezing, poor audio. This monitor just doesn't work. iBaby certainly takes no responsibility for producing such a worthless product. No support. I wasted $150 and ended up much more satisfied with a $3 monitor app from the AppStore. Heed all the poor reviews. Keep your baby safe. Don't bother with this.

    An expensive paperweight

    I'm on my second device after exchanging the one I initially purchased with the company. I've continued to have the same errors with the second device and I'm unable to get the camera to pair with either my iPhone or iPad. I have been in contact with the tech support and they have not been able to solve the problem. I came hear to check the reviews on the product. I read the positive comments and found it interesting that they all come from San Fransico and San Jose. The company selling the product is located in Mountain View which is between these two cities. I wonder if the positive comments are coming from the distributer of the product? I spent $150 to get my wife an expensive paperweight for her Christmas present.

    Save your money for something else. Keeps cutting in and out for the audio. Audio is not clear and crackles a lot . I wish this worked because I liked the thought of having the monitor on my iPad.

    Extremely unreliable and horrible service

    I have had their monitors for a few years (always as gifts). They are so unreliable, they just stop working out of the blue. The tech support and customer service people are nice, but their solution is almost always to send me a "new" camera. The word new is in quotes because it is so obvious that the replacements are refurbished products that someone else has sent in. Scratches and all. Then the cycle restarts and it goes down again in a few weeks or months.

    So inconsistent!

    I would never buy this again! I have been using it for a month and a half and I would say it only works 50% of the time and thats even being generous. Constantly has "network" issues. Ill check it when baby isnt there and it works and lately it seems when I do need it it wont connect. Why even have amonitor?! There are no issues with my router or wifi in my home so I assume its the product.

    Lost connection every 8h, specially when someone connects in the network, . Better buy usual products. Not satisfied at all. Only quality is to see using IOS and Android. Lack of support (FAQ). Should also connect using regular PC (Windows version).

    LOVE this monitor despite the bad reviews

    OK so when I got this product I did not see the bad reviews so I bought it. I wanted to write my review today and I see the bad reviews but I do not understand the reason. I have my monitor for a week and really enjoying it. It is Apple product for sure, the packaging, the design, or the app, everything looks clean and simple. I am a big Apple fan so I really care about how a product looks. Let me mention that it did exceed my expectation.

    When I opened the box, I saw a very nice pink cover and a small instruction booklet. I followed the steps, installed the app and plugged all the wires and started working immediately. It was very fast.

    Things I certainly like:

    - Very nice design for the product. It is home and family friendly
    - Smooth movement of the monitor and it is very quiet
    - Video picture is high quality and the night vision is clear
    - Audio is good. There are some delays sometimes
    - LOVE the music function.

    Things that can be improved:

    - Audio quality
    - Alert tone to be changed maybe
    - Volume level on music

    This product doesn't work with iPad. The app you have to download is only configured for the M3. I've tried several times to get that working. A closer inspection of the M2's box revealed that it's only certified for iPhones and iPod touches, despite having a picture of an iPad on the box. It also says "watch your baby from anywhere." Now that would seem to mean you can watch the monitor through the web out of your home. Unfortunately the monitor/app system only works within your wifi network.

    All that being said, the monitor isn't horrible. But for $150 I really expected more. I would just buy a camera w/ microphone and speaker for less money. I really wish Apple would fix the misleading packaging for an item they sell in-store.

    I was very hesitant to purchase this baby monitor after reading some reviews online. Honestly I didn't have much hope for this one. I figured I could try it and return it if it is difficult to deal with.

    To my surprise, this baby monitor is actually pretty easy to use. I didn't have any problem installing the camera like other people mentioned in review. It went through pretty quickly. At first the picture was a little pixilated and has a weird purple-ish tint. But you can actually change the video resolution. And the purple tint was caused by the night vision lights. If you turn it off, it will go away. And to much much of suprise, the video is actually fast. Sometimes it will slow down for a bit, but not much. There is one thing that I have a problem with: the sound sensor is really sensitive. And there is really no way to turn it down. During the day it could be a problem because there are a lot more sounds coming from outside of the house that sets off the alert, but at night it is great. If your baby wakes up, it will pick up any noise baby makes. But all in all, this is a very decent baby monitor.

    Great product EXCELLENT customer service

    I have had my ibaby monitor for 2 years now and it is the very best investment we made!! The product is great, we never have problems with it! Our internet service provider has made several changes that have caused me to have to change the way our monitor is set up. Each time, Nicole in customer service has been MORE than helpful! She makes it so easy, and has incredible product knowledge. I recommend this monitor to all my girlfriends!!!

    Great quality, easy setup. Just works.

    I've been buying many different connected baby products as we setup our nursery for our Jan. baby. The out of box experience, setup, configuration and app process have been by far the easiest of any of the connected products we've tried.

    I've so far tried the camera in the following scenarios:
    - over the local wi-fi network
    - wi-fi to my LTE iphone 5

    So far so good. The quality of the image is great, even in the dark. I've also tried the photo capture, motion and noise alarms as well as the two way talk. All work great.

    The only thing i'd love as an add on accessory would be a pan / tilt base as an add on with controls integrated into the app.

    I'm really happy with the quality of the product, simple design and ease of setup / configuration. It's so hard to get all of those things right.

    Love this monitor!!!

    Not sure how I survived without this with my first child. The Ibaby monitor is fantastic. I actually sleep better, work better and feel better just simply knowing I can see my baby gi anytime and I am notified every time she moves. The sound and motion sensor make this product go from an A to an A+!!! If you are at all a neurotic mommy like me, this is the monitor to have! Thank you I baby for creating a monitor that goes with my phone and that I can speak into my phone and to my daughter amongst everything else. Awesome!!

    Best Baby Monitor – EXCELLENT product!

    This is a MUST HAVE product for all parents. It’s the most convenient baby monitor system I have seen or used. It is so easy to set up, in just a few simple steps you can watch your baby sleep from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch – no extra piece of equipment to carry around and worry about charging or losing. Another great thing about this is I can set up multiple users so more than one person can watch my baby from anywhere.

    This monitor sends sound and motion alerts so if my baby rolls over or cries I will be notified with an alert to my synced device. Not only that, the camera automatically snaps and saves a picture whenever the motion is sensed so I can see what my baby was doing. With the 2-way audio if my baby is crying I can start to comfort her from another room while I am heading to the nursery. The camera also has great LED lighting for night time viewing.

    If you have a baby or one on the way I highly recommend this product. You just can’t beat the convenience or simplicity of this product. You won’t be disappointed.

    Worst purchase ever

    A monitor whose battery works for 2 hours and 2 hours only is good for NOTHING! How can parents monitor their babies during the night? Impossible! Wish I could have my money back. Apple should be ashamed of selling such a horrible product!
