Keeps you mobile when your job doesn't

I've had this for about a month and its a pretty cool gadget. The first thing you should know is that it tracks ACTIVITY and not necessarily how strenuous the activity is. Getting the groceries might get you the same amount of nike fuel as going for a jog. There in lys the beauty of this device. If you are someone who spends all day on a computer in the seated position, like myself, this little band reminds you to get up and move around. It also tracks your steps, time of day, and calories. I turned the calories off because I was pretty sure its way off the mark.

    Pros:
    stylish
    gadget pron
    motivates you to move around

    Cons:
    too expensive
no nike+ integration with heart rate monitor or nike+ running

    Summary:
If you need motivation to move around during the day or just love gadget pron. Get one.

It doubles as a watch but in reality the Fuel Band is my motivation to set and attain daily/weekly activity goals. Set up was relatively easy, I had a few Internet and syncing issues however they were quickly solved while I was on the phone with Nike support. Bought the large size and used the two extenders for a comfortable fit. I sync to my iPad and iPhone daily and charge every other day by connecting to my Mac.

I purchased the band about 45 days ago. I was shocked at how inactive I was. I am glad I brought the device but I think the calorie counting function is incorrect.

Im going to make this short and sweet. First off, it is an awesome, light weight, good looking device. It works really well and, my favorite part, it is compatible with an iPhone app. There are 2 downsides to this product. First, the Black Ice isn't as good looking as I thought. I would recommend the plain black one. Second, this does not apply to me since I got it as a present but it is extremely overpriced. I think this is a well built product in the range of $50-$100. Nothing more. Overall, i completley recommend this Nike+ device.

I was very surprised by the Nike FuelBand. The leds are bright and it is very light. You'll see it's pretty beautiful and useful.
First you gonna have to connect it first via usb to your computer, install the program, insert you own parameters, weight, height and more... when you will be done, sync it via bluetooth with your iphone or any other bluetooth phone. You can use the apps FuelBand which is pretty cool... you will be able to transfer all your date on it, directly to your phone. Very happy with it seriously! My note 96/100

inaccurate, does not work as marketed, do not buy

The Nike fuelband looks good, and is comfortable to wear. It does not track steps or calories with accuracy. I called customer support and the reps replied their accepted standard is to be 80% accurate. "it is not a pedometer" was another direct quote. Mine under corrected by 30-40% making it worthless as a fitness and health tracker. My first fuel band had a fatal hardware error, Nike sent a second that fell apart (literally) after one month of wear. The second was also only accurate to 65%. A rep told me I couldn't expect something worn on the wrist to be as accurate as a pedometer on a hip. The box states " it also tracks each step taken and calorie burned"

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT if you are looking for an accurate calorie, step, and activity tracker.

the white ice fuelband yellows and looks disgusting & other issues

Do not buy the white ice, it turns yellow in a month and looks so ugly.

The device had other issues, too; the Nike IT department isn't able to keep up with their own software. The FuelBand quit synching correctly, so, in order to have a daily total on the FuelBand I will have to perform a factory reset by connecting it to the computer every day. If I don't perform a daily factory reset, the FuelBand will just keep totaling up from one day to the next. That is, until the Nike IT department comes up with a solution for the "glitch", I think it is complete JIVE that I should have to perform a hard reset on a device daily just to have function properly.

Great concept but not not well executed

I got my band for Christmas and loved it. Sure, it't not as accurate as my Bodymedia armband but it's a lot less conspicuous and does motivate me to get up and move. After about 40 days the band started telling me I had met my goal when I unplugged it from the charger in the morning. Called for support and ended up resetting to factory settings. Have had to do this eight times now and Nike will not exchange the band saying it's a firmware problem but my husband has a band and this has never happened to him. Tried to exchange it at Apple (since it was purchased through Apple online) and they referred me to Nike who says it's a firmware issue - so fix it already! Save your money and DO NOT buy this product until they get the bugs worked out.

I love this Nike +. I have an expensive heart rate monitor watch that does everything and it's confusing. The nike plus is not for heart rate, its for getting you to take the stairs for fun because you want to get more fuel! Its simple. Its silent. It does what it does and celebrates with bright displayed movements when I reach my goal. I don't realize it's there. It's well made. Black is the best. It gives me the calories burned according to my activity. It starts a new count automatically at midnight, so be sure to check on your goal before it resets itself. So easy to charge...I actually plug the bracelet directly into my phone charger. I bought another as a gift since I am so impressed with the sleekness. I'm convinced Ashton Kutcher wears one on 2 1/2 men. It's understated and it's an easy to read; even in total darkness watch. It's expensive like designer shoes. You pay for the look and comfort with performance. I like it more each day.

It did not register my stationary bike workout at all, ( because you don't really move your hands when you bike especially on a stationary bike. It did a little better with my rowing, but I don't think anyone can burn 60 calories while rowing 4 miles in 17 minutes.Don't get me started on weights, push ups etc. If you want to motivate yourself to go out and walk more fine. If you are a little bit more serious... I guess you can still use this as an indicator. At worst case scenario it keeps time pretty accurately.

    Neat Product- some improvements needed

    • Written by from Edmonton

I got this after breaking my ankle, and though they said it would take 2 months to receive, I did get it within 30 days. I find it does help motivate me, to take a walk, or do more work if I've been lazy, and the ability to increase your goals is good.
I really wish it would include a heart rate monitor ( for weights or yoga, sit ups, pushups), or something to take riding a bike ( an option to put it around your ankle and indicate on your phone or whatever that that's what you've done? heart rate would also work with this) and make it waterproof for swimming purposes. I have the solid black one, and I get a lot of compliments on it. In the end, its really about your interest in motivating yourself, but it gives you a good idea of everything you do during the day.
I just wish more of my friends would buy one to get the whole competitive motivation going. I would recommend it, if you need a little boost to go for that evening stroll or walk up the stairs at work. But its not going to take the cheezies out of your mouth, get you off the couch and drive you to the gym.
