The Paradigm Millenia CT System sounds great!!! This system won product of the year for Sound & Vision. I was excited to see it available on Apple.com. Compares to other systems that are significantly more expensive. You will not be disappointed.

    Hi,
I normally don't send out reviews or opinions on anything, but I was so surprised by how easy this
Millenia CT rig went together, I wanted to let you know about it.

I have had a bunch of stereo systems, going back to the 70's. every time, it would take several days to get it all hooked up...before I could actually enjoy a minute of enjoyment for what I just paid all that money for. Not this time! It took minutes to hook up what little I needed to, and I have already been digging on it for hours. Sounds WAAAY better than one I replaced, and it is so good I am thinking of getting a "smarter phone" so I can make it all wire-less!

Setup in under 5 minutes - night and day better than TV speakers

Received this little system for my birthday. I set it up in less than five minutes. The sound is sensational compared to the LED TV speakers we were using. Now I enjoy listening to music through my Apple TV.

The remote that comes with the system is pretty lousy. However, I just reprogrammed my Harmony One and that solved that problem. Really, all manufacturer included remotes are lousy so why should Paradigm be any different?

Overall a great system for anyone with limited space. My girlfriend even loves the way the speakers look!

After what seems like years of gentle nagging I finally convinced my husband to put the "Tower of sound and tangled wires" out to pasture. I'm thrilled! i'm sure I have no idea how this much sound quantity comes from such tiny little speakers. Quite frankly, I don't care! I have noticed he is playing it awfully loud at night. Must be his stamp of approval, but he won't admit it!

For the price easily one of the best purchases I`ve ever made. Sound is crisp, bass is solid, and not too mention how loud they`ll go for the size of the speakers. 3.5mm jack makes life easy, and the optional bluetooth piece is a dream come true. I love the fact that i can spend $700, plug 2 cables into my tv, and have a full booming system I can hear throughout the house... Clearly if you gave this anything but a 5 your problem most definitely isn`t with the speakers themselves.

Easy setup, attractive casing, and fantastic sound. Excellent construction and design.

Input is standard headphone jack and optical digital into control box (about size of Apple TV2).

Subwoofer has power plug, cable to control box, left and right speakers.

My system is attached to Macbook Air with Thunderbolt Display.

Reminds me of Dahlquist or Magnaplanar speakers. Amazing sound from the Optical digital audio TOSLINK connections. Expensive but well worth it! You will not be disappointed.

Marvelously clear sounding speakers with great bass!

The best 2.1 speakers I've ever owned. I previously owned the BoseC3s and 5s and they don't hold a candle to these speakers.

I'm a musician of over 20 years and have supersensitive ears and I have to say that these speakers sound crisp and clear with no static or distortion. If you like to crank up the volume, these speakers can pack a bit of a punch. The subwoofer also provides deep, rich bass for all the low-end lovers out there. Here are some of the tunes and genres I tested them out too:

    Will.i.am - Scream and Shout
Intro cuts like glass with these speakers and you can even hear the crisp, doctored highs in Britney's voice

    Little Dragon - Test
This tune put the subwoofer to the test and it sounds so good that you feel as if your body is an extension of the subwoofer

Alicia Keys - Empire State of Mind
Alicia's highs come out like a soft, gentle wind

Ella Fitzgerald/Louis Armstrong - Dream a Little Dream
Ella's voice has always been pitch perfect but listening to her voice through these speakers will send chills down your spine. The Millenia CTs glorify her voice. Satchmo's voice also makes great use of the CTs midrange.

The only thing I don't care for is the flimsy remote and that there are no contols on the control box. Aside from that, these speakers are great.

Bought these speakers for my office edit suite on the weekend. I have Paradigm speakers for my home theatre system, so I knew the quality these Paradigm speakers would deliver.

OMG - Totally blown away! I may have invested a little more in price than I've spent for computer speakers in past, but this speaker system delivers for more than I paid for. These little baby's kick as hard as my Home system, for literally a fraction of the cost and size.

I so highly recommend this system. Hearing is believing.

Paradigm has always been world famous for delivering best value for money! This product makes no exception! In my opinion for this price, Millenia CT Speaker System is by far the best one you can get! Exceptional build and quality! Perfect match for my Apple TV! Extremely high quality Hi-Fi sound! I just love it!!!

Speakers came well packaged, nested in foam and double boxed. Set up with apple tv was easy because my 18 year old son did it. I agree with some comments that without his help I would have had problems with the minimalist instructions. But to get to the point, the speakers sound amazing. Such depth and richness of sound from such small speakers. I am so happy with this purchase that I am going to buy a second set for my studio! Yay Paradigm and Apple.

They are so easy to set up and sound great. The look and feel of the sub and the speakers are substantial and not cheap. I do agree with some of the reviews I have read that the remote is a little weak and I think that Paradigm should provide codes for remote learning. I have it set up in a sunroom with a 46 inch Samsung LED and Apple TVand absolutely love the sound that accompanies the great picture on that set (Movies and Music via itunes match). I was contemplating a soundbar (and listened to several) and then went with the CT. No regrets at all and would highly recommend this product.

Great product, issue with the optical audio

This audio system comes with a slick finish and modern looks but its not until you turn on your favourite tunes that you appreciate the real quality.

Rich sound, deep tones and superior clarity when I played a few different types of music. Everything from the alternative rock to piano classics came through without disappointment.

Only gripe, the optical audio does not work on my airport extreme, not sure what the deal is there, im going to call Paradigm and see if its a one off issue or a compatibility issue. Still, the analogue plug and play with the airport extreme works fine...

    Out of box failure.
    Very poor documentation
Need to operate with their standalone remote for sound (and very flimsy remote control)

Would go with a sound bar

My son wanted a Bose 5.1Accoustimas system for xmas like his roommate has in residence. I did lots of research and having grown up with 901s and not that impressed the the 'Bose' sound, I looked for alternative system and settled on the Millenia based on reviews. Best tech purchase in my life. Beautiful modern look, easy setup, and unbelievable sound. We cranked out Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, Comfortably Numb, On the Train to Bangkok, 2112, Erase Me and were blown away. Crisp clear sound, rumbling base as much as a 18 year old could want. If you are reading this, buy it!

Beautiful design married with amazing sound. You can't ask for any more for the price of these speakers with subwoofer. I put the sub on the floor under my desk and the speakers beside a 27 inch Cinema Display. I checked out some other really popular speakers that cost $499 (in the Apple Store) that looked beautiful but are really mediocre. For the extra $200 the Paradigm's are so worth the extra cost. They're on a completely different level. Worth every penny. Get them.

Good unit, but not incredibly impressed

For a $700 unit I was expecting this unit to be a lot better than the B&W MM-1. The bass response is great on this, but when compared to the sound quality of the B&W MM-1 I much prefer the MM-1s.

Where these speakers shine is when you turn them even louder; the subwoofer really packs some great bass and the quality gets even better with the more detail you can hear. However, for the small 10x15ft room I have these speakers in, I really didn't need such a whopping amount of volume or bass. Compared side by side to the MM-1s I'd go as far to say that these speakers sound muffled in quality.

I ended up sticking with the B&W MM-1s, I believed they sounded better for my room than the Paradigms, for both my desktop PC and for use with my TV. I was slightly disappointed in these speakers because I had high expectations considering the great reviews that seem to be floating around the web as well as the higher price point.

If you like listening to your music/movies/tv very loud with a lot of bass, this set could be great for you. The bass on the Millenia CT is the major point had me really wanting to keep these speakers. However, if you like superior quality sound with excellent detail I heavily suggest giving the MM-1s a shot, yes even for your TV.

Nice speakers but should be for this price - needs better connectivity

If you are going to use this strictly with your Apple TV then the connectivity couldn't be easier. However, I wanted nice speakers for the bedroom. Didn't want a big setup with a amplifier etc.
When connecting to a Apple TV this item is great, HDMI from Apple TV to the LCD TV and Optical audio to the Millenia and basically ready to go.
When I switch to cable or blue ray or xbox I can't get the audio to follow. The optical cable is optical in - my LCD TV does not have optical out. So, I had to go buy another switcher device to ger all my connections to work.
I wouldn't think my statements would be fair - but do the price of this item - they could have made it better. The sound is great but should for this price. My KEF speakers in the living room are much nicer - but they do say there is a break in period.

Also note, the optical connection sounds much better so you may want to consider that. The bass is good but not the same as an amplifier system with a 8 inch sub.
