    I question the accuracy

    • Written by from Danbury

This device is easy to use and works as described. One thing you need to do, that is not mentioned in the instructions, is charge the device for a few hours before you use it. Also there appears to be a number of variations of the app available in the App Store. You need to be sure you get one that supports this device.
Now for my gripe: despite iHealth's claims in the product description, I question the accuracy of the device. I am sure I am positioning it correctly, and it measures consistently enough, but mine seems consistently low. I just got out of the hospital, where one of the last things they did was check my BP. As soon as I got home I used this unit and got a lower reading than I got when I was relaxing in the hospital. Something's not quite right here.

    Really easy to use

    • Written by from Gainesville

I received mine yesterday. In spite of comments in some other reviews which almost dissuaded me from buying it, I found it amazingly easy to set up and operate. The app will not let you do it wrong. It shows which hand, how to put it on and what position in must be in. It will not start unless all of these are correct. And, they are clearly explained and illustrated in the app and the instruction booklet.

Also, in spite of some other reviews, I found it to be at reasonably accurate (I have no way of determining absolute accuracy). My, and my wife's, readings were consistent with those taken at the doctor's office and a manual cuff that my wife has. We did several readings and they were all within our normal range.

    Wrist monitor no use

    • Written by from Cupar

I have the wrist blood pressure monitor and most of the time it tells me my blood pressure is too low to measure. I Raised a ticket and was contacted to ask where I purchased it and have heard nothing since.

I really advise not to buy this until it's proved to be consistently medically accurate.

    Really not accurate

This thing ended up being a waste of money. I followed the instructions and tried many times, but has yet to be accurate when I compare the results with two other machines I use. Significantly off.

    Excellent Product

This is the best blood pressure monitor I have ever owned. It's simplicity and accuracy is amazing. I no longer have to attach a dock to my iPhone, the position sensor is simply and easy to understand, and the battery charges in a very short period of time. I have had no problems with the instruction or with getting it set up. As long as you have the iHealth app installed on your IOS and know how to pair a Bluetooth device with your IOS you will be okay and be ready to go in less than 2 minutes. Everything is super easy and intuitive, just what you expect from and Apple device. I can highly recommend this BP monitor. It works great! It's worth every penny.

    High readings as others mentioned

    • Written by from Ny

Granted this doesn't need to be perfect but in comparing my wife and I's readings to our consistent Omron, this machine is off by 20 on the systolic and 10+ on the diastolic. If its not close/reliable its useless. I would think Apple an i health would be better partners. With BP it just needs more accuracy than your average tech gadget. Will return next week unless someone tells me how to re-calibrate.

    Working product

    • Written by from OAKVILLE

I had a few connection problems at the beginning. I contacted iHealth: first by phone (impossible to reach anyone; unacceptable long waiting times) then by email. Email was successful and the advisor provided the steps required to get me going. That was appreciated. Used this a few times and compared the results with measurements taken with a regular BP monitor (arm measurement vs wrist measurement); discrepancies are too large. Wrist measurement is always higher (e.g. 150 vs 130). Not sure why I am experiencing this. I intend to follow up on this and determine if I have an accuracy issue with this (iHealth device) otherwise very nice looking and easy to use monitor.

    Still not updated?

    • Written by from KENNEBUNK

How long has iOS6 been out? This thing still doesn't work with it? What does that tell you about the company? Didn't realize when I bought the wrist blood pressure cuff. Thought I could use it as a stand-alone monitor? Nope. Doesn't work. Guess I'll take my health eco-system purchasing elsewhere.
