    Exceptional sound quality!

As you would expect from Bose! I tried the Jambox and was majorly disappointed. Nothing beats the thick, full rich sound from Bose. I won't stray again!

    Great speakers

    • Written by from bridgewater

This is a really good speak if your outside or even inside. the sound is clear and powerful. I am using it in my classes for my English classes in Oman. Its so useful that I can place the speakers in a proper place in the classroom and walk around in the classroom attending my students while my iPad plays the tracks without being enslaved by alot of wires. Thank you

Hard to go wrong with Bose...

    • Written by from Flower Mound

Picked this after being tempted by some other less expensive options. I wanted a speaker setup to listen to audio in the master bedroom, but dont really need the portability. Right out of the box, I'm glad I spent a little extra...

    Love the form factor
    Love the ease of use
    Love the solid construction
    Love the SOUND

    Recommend to Everyone

    • Written by from Orlando

I really have no bad things to say about this little speaker. But don't let its size fool you, it packs a punch with crisp and clear sounds. I bought this speaker so that I could stream music from my iphone while at the beach. The first time I used it I got some looks from the folks around my group and I because the speaker carried the sound over the ocean surf and other activities happening around us. It also works perfectly with my iPad while watching tv in the kitchen since the iPad speakers do not carry sound well. The only complaint that I can find for it is that I have to re-sync my bluetooth each time I connect it to either my iPhone, iPad, or MacBook Pro, which really isn't a big deal because it syncs easily. Highly recommended!

This speaker simply rocks. I use it all the time, and i am a high school student. I also have jawbone's big jambox and this blows it away. This fills my whole house with sound and is better than our stereo system. A little pricey, but definitely worth it!

    Soundlink II vs. Big Jambox

    • Written by from Carbondale

I bought the Bose Soundlink II and the Jawbone Big Jambox to compare which one I liked better. In my opinion, the Soundlink has a deeper, warmer, and richer sound while the Big Jambox has clearer and sharper sound. When it comes to music, I thought the Soundlink simply blew the Big Jambox away. Wasn't even close.

I have a small TV in my bedroom with terrible speakers and I was curious how it would sound if I connected the Soundlink and the Big Jambox to it. In this test, I found that because the Big Jambox provides a clearer and sharper sound, it made for a better TV sound system than the Soundlink. At all volumes, dialogue and background sound was very clear with the Big Jambox. At lower volumes, dialogue sounded muffled with the Soundlink, but at higher volumes dialogue was very clear, although background sound at that volume level can become too loud.

In a related note for those wanting to use either system as a TV sound system as well as a music player, the Soundlink has buttons that allow you to switch back and forth from the stereo cable to your TV and the bluetooth to your music. Unfortunately the Big Jambox does not have this which meant I had to plug and unplug the stereo cable in whenever I wanted to switch back and forth from watching TV to listening to music. So that's definitely a plus for the Soundlink. Another plus for the Soundlink is that it's slimmer design allows for it to be more portable than the blocky Big Jambox.

The Big Jambox has two advantages over the Soundlink that I should note as well. One, the speaker phone system is a nice value added benefit and worked really well. And two, the Big Jambox has way better battery life.

Based on all those consideration, I ultimately chose the Soundlink although I had an incredibly tough time deciding. I chose the Soundlink because the main reason I wanted a mobile speaker was for listening to music in different areas of my house and the Soundlink beats the Big Jambox in both music sound and portability. That said, I would have been very happy with the Big Jambox had I decided to keep it instead. I really wish that Bose had a speaker phone system and TV sound like the Big Jambox, but I guess you can't have it all. If I were you I'd just try to figure out in what ways you'll use your mobile speaker and base your decision which speakers best meets those needs.

    Awesome Blue Tooth Speaker

    • Written by from Burnaby

I've tried a few different bluetooth speakers & well, this one is incredible!! I cannot believe the sound that comes out of this!
I am quite particular about sound being true to life - has excellent crisp trebles(mids & highs) without being 'tinny' & great base that sounds just right! I also am a musician so have a highly critical ear! I am so impressed with this speaker I would recommend it to everyone! Worth every penny!!
Just a side note-I tried the the Big Jambox & it's got lots of sound but lacking in a big way! Sent it back. I compared the Bose Soundlink I with the II & there's a big difference!! Get the II !!

    Versatile High Quality

    • Written by from Meriden

I don't understand people who complain sound is flat. Do they know iTunes has a built in equalizer to adjust the range from treble to bass with several presets? If it is left flat, which is the default setting, the output is Flat. You can adjust several individual levels to get what you find appealing. Also, the type and size of the room, as well as any objects that can obstruct the audio come into play. If you ever entered a High End Stereo Sound room, you get the full unobstructed experience. I tested mine from an actual Bose Store.near where I reside. I purchased one, and returned to purchase another. You can add up to five of these Airplay speakers in your house. Each one is named different and the volume can be separately adjusted in iTunes. I am not sure about how versatile the playlists are with control of what music is playing. I think the feature is to have sound playing throughout a large home. They can be turned up quite loud and show no distortion. I use my iPod in my car now and my MacPro via iTunes and two Bose for one 120 X 120 foot room. They don't loose clarity and certain CD's I have re-uploaded to Apple Lossless and can hear the difference between lossless and .mp3. I hear parts of music detail that I never heard before. Enough of a difference that brought new life to old songs I heard a thousand times before. They are expensive but you are buying a well known brand that has been around for a long time. I took a star off for the price. Expect High End brands to come down in price, like any electronics. Speakers must be tested in person before buying, just like test driving a car and a few different models. Airplay is relatively new and some manufacturers get it and some, who I won't name because Apple sells them were a nightmare that ended in shredded money.

I picked up the SoundLink 2 a couple of days ago and love it. Great sound quality for a small, portable device.

I have connected my iPhone 4S & new Macbook Air without problems. I can control the sound from anywhere in my apartment, and the battery does last for a good few hours!

Best Speaker I Have Ever Owned

    • Written by from INDEPENDENCE

I received the Bose speaker for my graduation gift, and it has by far been the best gift I have every received! The quality of the sounds is incomparable to any other speaker! The speaker's Bluetooth capabilities are a nice feature to portably use the speaker. I highly recommend this speaker for anyone looking to make an investment in a wonderful piece of machinery!

You get what you pay for.

    • Written by from Hyde Park

I too was skeptical at first. The price was intimidating but after having already bought Bose earphones, computer speakers, as well as the 10 speaker entertainment system, in my opinion, no other audio company compares to Bose. The sound is so incredibly rich coming from such a small space saving item. I use my speaker when sitting on my couch, I place it front of my pc at work, and I use it in my car when travelling. I just bought a second one for my son who is in college. I figure this has got to be the best addition to a dorm without taking up much needed space. Believe me, it's worth the extra few bucks.

    Great speakers.. BUT

    • Written by from Carrying Place

These are fantastic speakers, easy to setup and sound great the only thing missing is a remote for them. When you want to change the volume quickly or turn it off/on from a distance its a little annoying not having a remote and going to your phone or computer. I called Bose and they don't sell any remote that will work with this unit.
