    Epson XP-400 No wireless print

I have just purchased and have discovered two problems. First, is no wireless print. I followed instructions and printer shows wireless connection is made but no print. Hooked USB up, then it printed; but that's not the point , is it? The second is the atrocious use of ink. I have used the printer 4X but I'm getting low ink warnings already. I only bought this printer because it was on the Apple site and regret now because of the flimsy construction. I would return it except I lost my receipt.

    Like the printer however...

I like the fact that I can print straight from my iPhone and Laptop however that's about all ! It is very noisy and the ink runs out extremely fast. Once it runs out of ink, it will not print in any other color even when you change the settings and the color of the font in the document. I purchased new Epson black ink cartridges from Staples and since I replaced them I can print but the quality is awful and the text is gray. I have to figure out what is going on with the ink and I am really frustrated because I was enjoying this printer up until I started having issues with the ink. Was easy to set up and has no cords.

It worked when set up now no AirPrint.

I bought this for my mother to use AirPrint on her iPad. She didn't want it so I have been using it. I want to AirPrint from my and my wifes iPhones. Airprint worked great right after I set it up but now a month later I can't AirPrint. I've gone to Espon support and downloaded the update again but still doesn't work.
I use Epson cause they supported apple years ago when HP and other didn't. Now I just wish Apple built the printer cause then it would work.
I also found that you need a computer to do the software updates so my Mother couldn't have installed them as she just has the iPad.
When are these compnaies going to figure the future out and get away form needing a 'computer' to facilitate updates.
    Grrrrr

    Drops off wireless network constantly

I purchased this printer prior to the release of OS 6.1.2 and OS X 10.8.2. Since those updates neither my new MBP, iPad Mini, iPhone 4S can AirPrint. All of the mobile devices along with the laptop worked prior to this update. I would highly recommend not purchasing this printer unless the firmware has been updated for the new operating systems. Search CNET along withe the 200+ pages in the Apple forums to fully understand the problem Apple made not working with their supplier of accessories to ensure AirPrint and that the various accessories stay wirelessly connected. In my case I have to reset my router and printer daily for get any printing functionality. Food for thought as this is still the most popular air printer on Apples website as it was last fall. Do your research.

    Worst Printer I've owned

This may be the worst printer I've owned. The paper sensor always seems to think it's out of paper when in fact there is paper. Most of time time I have to hand feed it paper because everything prints at an angle. The printer smudges it's own ink. If I can print something right the first time (correct angle, no smudges), it is truly a divine miracle. Other than looking cool under my desk, this printer is pretty much useless.

The control panel face plate fell off the first time I used the printer. I've attached it with tape to avoid the hassle of getting a replacement.
Also, scanning an image to file isn't as simple to initiate as I had hoped,
