    Check you have the correct router before you buy!!!

    After 5 days of trying to get the speaker to connect to my wifi router, it turns out that they are not compatible. Your router needs to have 802.11g technology, not the faster 802.11n technology. Please check before you buy.

    Just doesn't work

    Sorry to say that this airplay speaker just does not work. Tried two devices and both suffered the same problem. The speaker is easy enough to set up and sounds great. But if left idle, it eventually drops from the wifi network so hard that it locks up and has to be reset. As noted, tried two different speakers and both suffered the same issue. I fully expect the entire line to suffer the same defect.

    So much for affordable AirPlay devices.

    Perfectly easy to set up with the help of an iDevice. Sound is okay, if not for the price. However, most of the time it cuts out after a few seconds or begins to "stutter", even though the router is in the next room. I have an Airport Express hooked up to a stereo, and AirPlay works like a charm. This on the other hand is a joke.

    Don't waste your money if you plan to use the Airplay feature

But if left idle, it eventually drops from the wifi network, the solution given by iHome's support was to reset it but this happens way to often. I fully expect the entire line of iHome devices with Airplay to suffer the same defect.

    I should have known better, next time Im going to get the better and well known brands.

    So much for affordable AirPlay devices.
