No, it doesn't do what you think it does

Charged it up, plugged in my iPad. It "charged" the iPad from 30% up to 45%. Repeat. Got it up to 66%. Contacted tech support and was told that this is to be expected because the battery pack is much smaller than the iPad's battery.

This product is described as "ideal for iPad". It says it "charges" the iPad. It doesn't say "It'll top up your iPad by a little bit". It's not even in the fine print. To not get fooled you have to know a priori the capacity of your iPad's battery, in milliamp hours (about 11,000), and compare that to the line that says: "large 6000mAh battery quickly powers iOS devices". And then account for, quoting the Mophie tech support guy: "the power lost during the transfer process, and the power used by the iPad during the charging process".

End result: " ...we expect the duo to offer between 20-30% charge to the iPad". So don't buy this to "charge your iPad" because it just won't do what you think that means.

Does not charge when brand new. Out of the box gave me 5% charge on iPad. Piece of garbage.

Wasted my time - 1 star for looks, weight and 'concept'.

Unfortunately, it's not functional...currently on 4 hours for an iPad2 - Mophie's about to run out of JUICE and iPad's only at 60%. Bought for a Euro trip and was really hoping for the best - But not to be....it's going back today...

Not sure what the 2nd port is for when it can't even get one done??!
