Don't Purchase Beats Tour In-Ear Headphones

I have gone through two pair of these in-ear headphones within 12 months. Initially, I liked the design and more specifically the flat cord. However, after a month on the first pair, the in-line volume switch broke and I wasn't able to control the volume. The retailer I purchased these from refunded the full purchase price. The second pair I purchased from a local Apple store, and again liked the design enough but purchased the whlte color this time. However, again, they broke. This time the right ear stopped working completely after several weeks. Enough already with overpriced ear buds! This time I went to Beats directly, and they will only replace them with the same model. Since I don't want to waste the money paid, I will get, yet another pair, optimistically hoping that the third pair works, but will likely return to my original iPhone headphones that have worked flawlessly!

    Tour Beats were terrible.
The cord was heavy. I could not get the ear peice to stay in my ear. The sound crackled every now and then. Sound was average.
Would not recommend these to anyone.

I had the apple in-ear headphones for 4 years till I broke them on vacation. Went to best buy and was told these were even better than the apple headphones (which they didn't have). I was happy at first with them. Thankfully I bought the insurance because 3 months later I have returned 4 pairs for breaking and got a cash refund to go buy the apple which are half the price. Issues listed bellow. I had only used these with apple devices MacBook Pro, iPhone, and ipod inside and not under any stress. You are paying for the name recognition with these and not the sound quality at all.

    - Ear pieces are cheep and the metal mesh can not be taken apart to clean (apple can)
    - left ear lost bass after a day of using and the the treble was tinny sounding
    - left ear went completely out on two pair after a week and on the same day i got a new pair ( multiple reviews on best buy and amazon have had the same issue)
    - the flat cable is easily damaged and shows wear
    - the L shaped plug is a bad design and hard to remove
    - the microphone/ volume design is very cheep and not well designed (even worse of a design on the ibeats)
