    Malfunctioning controls

    • Written by from Griffith

After one full week, controls stopped working due to sweat. Volume began decreasing on it's own. Mute, song skip completely non functioning. Not as loud as I would have expected from a $200 pair of headphones.

DO NOT BUY ANY BEATS PRODUCT - They do not stand by their products and the quality is poor. I've had them send me FOUR replacement buds over the past year (the original pair I bought lasted 3 months) bc they keep shorting out and now they will not send any others. Not one pair that I've had from them has lasted more than a few months. DO NOT BUY ITS POOR QUALITY.

    NOT a complete waste

    • Written by from Chantilly

Okay so I bought these headphones and on my first workout the controls on the headphone started to malfunction. It activated siri on my iphone randomly and started the pause my music. I realized that this was because some sweat got on the headphone controls. This got really annoying by the time my workout was complete. I went back to the store and had them exchanged. Once I read the reviews and found out that my problem was not uncommon, I put some saran plastic wrap on my headphone controls and problem solved. I change the plastic wrap once a week and my headphones work great. Although this company didnt have the common sense to design sweat proof "sport" headphones, you can still enjoy the beats quality sound by this simple trick. I even take these into the steam room at my gym and they work great. Other than that small problem this product is great. They are very comfortable and when Im running and I forget they are even there.

Big waste of time and money

    • Written by from west groton

Bought these on a Monday used them for two bike rides over a three day span. On the second ride the microphone and all of the controls on the remote stopped working. No Siri, no volume control, no track control nothing worked. For all the hype about the base and how great beats are these where the worst headphones I have ever had. Returned then four days after I purchased them. No worth the money or the time you will waist returning them.

    STAY AWAY!!!

    • Written by from Houston

Do yourself a favor and stay FAR AWAY from this terrible product. I would scream this from the top of a mountain...but I don't have a mountain...I only have this small text box. Anyways, I had the headphones for 1.5 months. After about 30 days, the remote stopped working...2 weeks later, the left ear bud stopped working. Awesome. After seeing others report the EXACT same problem (faulty remote and left ear bud), it's clear that these are complete garbage.

    Ear buds and clip ons

    • Written by from Scituate

I have a pair of Dr. Dre clip on headphones. I use them for walking my dog. They are very good sound and they stay on my ears. I can also hear people and sounds around me so they are not isolating headphones and shouldn't be. Heavy workouts and sweat will ruin most headphones as they are not designed to be waterproof. Ear buds that come with iPods are actually very good especially apple ones for sound but some stay in some ears better than others. I have trouble with apple headphones for a variety of reasons. The new ones fall out of my ears. These clip ons are my alternative and they work for me. In general and with reasonable care ear buds actually can outlast many home over the ear models. Like a good pair of shoes they either fit or don't. Buyer beware. Also headphones even the same model seem to be rated for color over quality and that to me is strange. Dr Dre and Bose work hard to make good headphones,so does apple. None are bad or poor choices but choice is individual. What works for you is best, all sound very good.

These don't work. At all. Don't expect anyone to be able to hear you using the microphone. And the connection to the phone is terrible. BUY SOMETHING ELSE.

ZERO STARS! I was forced to select at least 1 for this review.

    • Written by from McCalla

These are the worst earphones I have ever purchased. Thankfully, I did not pay full price for them. I wouldn't even try to resell them to get over on somebody. I own a pair of Klipsch S1, Bowers & Wilkins C5, and the new Apple Earpods. These Powerbeats are not even close to any of those 3 and cost considerably more ($150) than the Klipsch $99 and Apple Earbuds $29.
The sound is subpar, uneven balance between L and R, and the bass is near nonexistent even when listening to pop, jazz, and R&B. If you are a hip-hop bass head, you may cry at the injustice to any hip hop joint out there.
I should have learned my lesson as this is the 4th pair of Beats that I've tried. I will NEVER purchase another pair in life.

Great sound, poor construction and materials

    • Written by from Rio Blanco

This product does not worth the price. Same day I bought mine the headphone's remote was broken. The replacement got the same problem. Unfortunately the producer dose not get any warranty for the replacement. They sound great but the construction materials are not worthy for the application. Very unsatisfied.

After purchasing these I have lost complete faith in this entire company!! These broke only 5 months after purchasing and when I called the company they were rude and refused to stand behind a faulty product. Apple should be ashamed of themselves for even carrying this type of trash.

....Just like every other review on here; they are garbage. The left ear stopped working after a few month... took months to get a replacement, which is just someone else's broken pair that has been "refurbished". The mic stopped working, the playback feature stops the music and activates suri. Customer service is terrible: rude and not helpful at all. Please please do not buy these.... I bought mine in Canada and after tax they were $230... honestly the most ripped off I have ever felt. Its like Beats and Dr.Dre reached right into my pocket and stole $230 all while smiling ear to ear.

    Save Your Money!

    • Written by from Coconut Creek

On my third pair in 30days! The control talk stops working in a few days, causes voice control to stop music. Complete garbage. Apple should be ashamed for selling this inferior product in their stores! Next time I return them, and I'm sure I will have to. I'll try the Klipsch.

    Do NOT waste your money

    • Written by from Benton

I admit, I really put headphones through a workout. I'm a bodybuilder so I workout six times a week, 2-2 1/12 hours a day. Doing an hour to an hour and half of weights and an hour of cardio a day I don't just sweat, I pour water out of my body!! Now, I bought these headphones just for that purpose, it said they were sweat proof. I have the Beats Solo HD, and figured, great, I can have an awesome set of headphones that pump out amazing sound that will stand up to my workouts (considering they are 150 bucks I should be able to swim with things on!). WRONG!! After a week the controls broke, first the volume wouldn't adjust, then it wouldn't change songs, then the control component simply broke in half! Don't waste your money, the Apple in ear headphones work much better at only 80 bucks, sound isn't quite as good, but they at least live up to their Apple name and price. I give BEATS an epic FAIL on these headphones, take some tips from apple guys if you want to put out a "workout" headphone.
