    Poor sound quality

    • Written by from South Lyon

I bought for my wife but returned due to poor sound quality (not clear and to get good sound need to turn volume really high) and uncomfortable fit; returned it and bought the Bose AE2w instead for $30 less, less weight and and much happier with the clarity of the music; also Bose has feature to connect 2 devices which is very convenient instead of connecting every time.

The remote cable has a mind of it's own!

Unlike other people, I have no issues with blue tooth connection at all - it's great. Everytime I attach it to the cable (with the remote/mic) it has a mind of its own. Stopping/starting music, siri, voice control it just goes in circles. They're totally unuseable with the cable. So frustrating as I can't use these unless they're in bluetooth mode and don't always have access to a computer to charge them! Nearly $400 on unuseable headphones and nobody seems to be able to help me.

Head band broke after 2 minutes of use. Was adjusting the fit and just like that they broke in 2. I would not recommend these to anyone. Real cheap quality. Go get some Bose if you want a quality headset.

Reported problems which affect multiple phones

    • Written by from London

I've had my Beats Wireless for 7 months now and can tell you that many of the problems reported here are not just specific to iPhones. As well as my iPhone 4 I have noticed the same problems on my Galaxy S3 as well as my old Nokia Xpress. Random dropouts of audio or headset buttons failing to respond. Just to day (reason for me finding this thread) I've realised that streaming videos from YouTube or Vimeo while using headphones can be a problem also. Found it very difficult even on wifi to get videos to even load, but the moment I disconnected they loaded. I had this issue on both my iPhone and S3. I wonder if this is a Bluetooth frequency interference?
If those problems can get sorted that would be great, but I don't think its an Apple issue.

    Headband cracked

    • Written by from Sinabelkirchen

8 of 11 people found this useful

Already read somewhere before the purchase that somebody's headband had cracked, but thought it's a result of lack of care. But when the headphones arrived I understood the issue: A 2mm thick plastic headband is supposed to withstand the strains of daily use. And surely, after 2months of (careful) use, the headband broke. Just like that.

Apart from that relatively positive experience, no pairing issues with iPhone4S, iPhone4 and the Macbook (the first device I managed to pair to my macbook), sound quality good, songs do skip a little forward at the very beginning of the song.

They are really amazing. You hear great sound and every note. If you want good sound and style defiantly get Beats Wireless. One other bonus, I have a sister with autism that really loves them, so there good. The only kind that can even compare to them is Bose. But definitely get Beats By Dre Wireless.

    Skips Forward

    • Written by from Eden Prairie

13 of 20 people found this useful

Skips forward during the first few seconds of every song. Also has random drop outs with Bluetooth.

I'd go wired or with a different Bluetooth set. This is the only Bluetooth set I've seen this issue on.

    Bad beats.

I bought a Beats Wireless in 2012 to pair with my iphone 5 and it did work until today.Just updated the ios on my phone and now my Beats work perfectly. Thank you Apple for taking care of this problem. And thank Dr. Dre and company for working with Apple to resolve this problem.

These are horrible first they made the beginning of almost every song fast forward it sounds like its scrated but it wasn't. Then for my iPad2 they kept losing connection even when I was right next to it the bluetooth stinks. Also suddenly without any indication it stops playing music, it keeps playing but you can't hear anything through the speakers and the blue light shows its on and perfectly charged. Do not buy them the only way they constantly work is with the wire ,defeats the purpose of Bluetooth.

    In a word, TERRIBLE

    • Written by from New York

Why should I have to change the settings on my iPhone's EQ just to hear my music clearly on a $300 set of headphones?

I understand by the mere fact that a rap legend's name is written on the headphones, that these sets are targeted towards listeners of hip-hop. I listen mostly to jazz and rock, but I also listen to pre-1996 hip-hop (you know, when Dr. Dre was still making good music) and it's not that the bass is so overwhelming that I have to change my EQ settings to Bass Reducer, but everything just sounds muddy (without EQ settings). Like the mids are turned all the way up and everything else is down. You sacrifice the intricacies and nuances of studio production that Dr. Dre himself is known for.

I strongly vote against these headphones. The only thing it has going for it is its aesthetic design, which is sleek, but I cannot condone its complete lack of consideration to the way your music actually sounds through them. They're terrible.

    TERRIBLE.

I've been using the Bose QC 15s, but when I wanted to try a Bluetooth headset, I went to these first and returned them within a week. I'm now using the Sennheser MM 500-X. It's not as well-designed as the Beats, but music sounds like HD music in your ears, not muffled noise coming from your neighbor's.

If you're interested low end, muddy, incomprehensible music, congratulations - these headphones are for you.

    Not So Good

I was not impressed with these headphones. When they worked the sound was great, but the wireless connection cut out and shut off way too much. I was told their might be a bit of a glitch in them due to frequency pick up but when I used them it was too much. Would not advise purchasing these headphones go with the wired!

    Stunning audio quality

These headphones are great. Works with all the products I have at home! If I need to do something I can simply just walk while still listening to music. Music controls are great and the quality from the earcups are amazing. The only issue is that the Bluetooth is out of sync with video and hoping apple will fix in software update. The cable option is great as well and the battery life lasts like forever!! Worth the price

    ios6 causes drop-outs

    • Written by from ERKRATH

29 of 41 people found this useful

until ios6 took place on my 3GS everything was fine, but after upgrading playback has lot of drop-outs and skipping is like jump into the song after some bars and not at the beginning. Every hint like reset your profiles, re-pairing, reset iphone or other obscure voodoo like actions did not take effect on that bad habits. Finally i returned my beats wireless, because it seems that apple will not do anything on that problem on their side...and somehow i presume that monster also will not release an updated firmware, and i don't need wireless hp's that wouldn't do their job...

Wireless Headset with sound that makes you want more

    • Written by from Whittier

23 of 33 people found this useful

The headset is nice! The quality in the sound gets you lost at what you are doing, while having the sounds sound better and better with each note. I wish of course that they would go louder. I gave it a 5 star because I honestly love them. I listen to them every chance i get and being that they are wireless with bluetooth that I connect w/my Iphone and Mac, it makes sense.

If you can afford them buy them. I feel they are slight bigger then the solo's and much smaller then the Studios.

    Dre you did it again!

As I can see, lots of us have bought them and some month later the headband cracked, I bought them with my money and I am only 15, and I am emailing beats help custom, but I am not getting any answer, as everyone, 4 month later I was really taking care of them but, while I was taking them of my head, they suddenly cracked, they worked for like 2 weeks and suddenly a night they stopped working.
They are really good but I would considere buying theme , if you are lucky the headband wont brake....

Monster beats vs HTC/hp beats "Its like comparing Apples to Radio Shack!"

The old Monster beats blows away the new HTC/ hp beats. Monster has the technology proven by their high performance cables. HTC and hp makes cell phones and computers, so what do they know about quality audio? I tried both Monster beats and HTC/HP beats and there is huge difference in bass.

Note iOS6 compatibility issues before buying!

First let me say that I love these headphones and I would recommend them to Apple users, hence the 5 star rating. However at the moment, ever since iOS6 launched there have been troubling issues with the connection (and with all other bluetooth devices according to other iOS6 users). They will now drop the connection, distort the beginnings of songs. The device still thinks its playing, but no audio streams. I hope apple will update the iOS ASAP. I also hope that this post helps people considering these headphones

    Defective product

    • Written by from COQUITLAM

I bought these about 5 months ago and as another reviewer stated they cracked. The headband near the hinge just snapped off while I was taking it off my ears.

I'm dealing with the warranty service now and I'm the one that has to pay for shipping and hassle for there defective product. You can clearly see that his is a design flaw that I hope goes through some kind of class action lawsuit because the price you pay and the product breaking from regular use is absurd.

Hope this helps someone else avoid this issue. Cheers.
