    Really!!??

    • Written by from Decatur

These are terrible y'all. Get real headphones like the sony mdr-7506 headphones... They don't have as much bass as these, but they are evenly balanced... Beats by dre headphones are not balanced, and if they were, their bass wouldn't be so strong... But if you want strong bass, then go ahead and waste your money on beats by dre...

they really hurt my ears, like excruciating pain to my ears. great sound. the adjuster gets loose and even on the smallest adjustment they still slide of my head now. i would not recommend getting them i am so disappointed in my purchase. (not internal pain by the way)

    Great sound But...

    • Written by from Woking

Got these For birthday and was really pleased but after a while they started to really hurt my ears. The Extendable parts become loose after a while as well. But the sound is amazing and really crisp and good bass.
Although the sound was great I recommend the beats by Dr dre studio as they are much more comfortable and the same sound quality As the solo HD and have more features like noise cancelling etc.
Overall great sound but would definitely get studios instead.

    Horrible Muffled Sound

    • Written by from Atlanta

I got a pair of these headphones for christmas and the sound is HORRIBLE! Its a very odd muffled sound of the person singing, I can mainly only hear the music and some background singing. When I press down the middle button on the cord, thats the only time I can hear a clear nice sound. These headphones are too expensive to have to hold down a play button in order to hear good music the entire time.

Beats By Dr Dre Solo HD Smartie Blue

    • Written by from Fort Mill

These headphones are sure to stand out in a crowd. The light blue color really pops out and has a fantastic smooth finish. They seem very durable and scratch resistant especially with the soft signature beats carrying case. The most important part of these headphones is not the looks, but sound. The sound quality is for sure, the best I have ever heard. Many say that the sound is drowned out by the bass, but it is very balanced and has a clean crisp sound. I tend to listen to pop music, British pop, and some rap. And for all of them the sound quality is amazing. In some songs you can even hear the artist breathing in between verses. Overall these headphones are fantastic and I highly recommend them.
Pros: looks, carrying case, and sound quality
Cons: price is a bit steep but if you have the money I would still recommend them

Sound quality ???? Beats Solo HD cord issue

    • Written by from Prosper

Bought a pair of the Solo Hd for my daughter for Xmas at this price I had to try them out. I am a extreme audiophile and want to hear for myself. This is going to sound strange.. I used the supplied beats cord in my iPhone 5 as instructed the sound as many described was muffled could hardly hear the vocals tried every EQ setting nothing..... Poor at best. I then thought I try to turn the cord around and see if any difference when I did oh my!!! I had to hold down the pause \ play button on the cord set the sound was then and only then what you would expect of a 200 dollar pair of head phones?? Anyone else try this...

Don't let the high price tag fool you

    • Written by from Linkoping

Sorry to say, but the sound on these headphones are worth a maxium of $50. They provide a bassy sound with a lot of punch, but the mids and highs totally lacks detail. A one word description of the sound is muffled! You should expect a lot more from headphones in this price range. I regret this purchase and it was a complete waste of money.

    OK

These phones are ok at best. I love the design and comfort of the ear pads. Bass response is amazing but, voices and snares are heard behind everything. It sounds like if the singers are behind a wall singing. Again, love the design, hate the sound.

    Disappointing cracking sound!!!

    • Written by from Fort Worth

I purchased the White Solo HD headphones, and after putting them on fresh out of the box they started cracking from one side when I would rotate my head. I had to go to the apple store to exchange them for a different pair of white ones and the same problem kept occurring on 3 different pairs! Until I tried the Red Limited Edition and I have NO problem with those! Im probably just out of luck with the white ones because my friend has the white ones and his dont crack....... But other than that annoying experience, they are Awesome Headphones!!!!!

    Beats Solo HD

Great looks and feel. Good sound quality as well. Some listening fatigue though about 1 1/2- 2 hours of listening time. Tight press can cause soreness around ear rim.

    Meh

    • Written by from Murfreesboro

These headphones have good sound quality but in my experiences (mostly wearing at work for extended periods of time) they become quite uncomfortable on your ears due to how tight they are after only an hour or two. Would suggest the Bose in-ear instead, they have the same if not better sound quality and are way more comfortable.
