I have had a variety of headphones, Skull Candy, Sony, Bose, etc... these are by far the best headphones I have ever owned. Now I know 200 bucks is steep for headphones (I know, I said the same thing) until I put these on. I was like, "Oh, where have you been all my life?!". I will admit you have to play around with the adjustment a little or it will hurt your ears after a while, but that's just due to inappropriate fit. Once these things are dialed in its like Candy for your ears!!!

    Plastic Breaking easy

I purchased these headphones and the plastic top piece broke while I was putting on the headset. I do not have a 10 gallon head but the reply when returned was the Damage was beyond reasonable use. The phones were only used when I travel so total use was less than 50 hours of "head time".
DO not purchase as plastic will break and they do not even have replacement parts for it if you wanted to purchase replacement verses warrentee.

I really like the sound quality of these but the right side of my pair blew out and now it's all fuzzy and the wire tore and the top so it's taped together and the rubber part is falling off! :( I'm disappointed!

Bass is overwhelming, made my ears bleeeeeeeed. Doesn't leak and cancels noise, which is great. But overall sound, i've had $30 headphones that aren't as terrible as this. If i were you, i'd buy the sol republic tracks hd. Those are 70 less, and muchhhhh more amazing. Don't buy these, you're paying $30 headphones and $170 for the stupid name

A lot of people raved to me about Dr Dre's headphones, so I splashed out and bought a nice green pair.
After three days I've got to say I can't rave about the sound quality...everything is soooo bassy! I like Jazz and find the double bass in many tracks just dominates the sound. Vocals just don't sound natural. I ve just bought a pair of Beyerdynamic Custom Pro One's; they don't look so good, but the sound is amazing, and you can tune the bass the way you want it!
Sorry Dr Dre but these are an over priced hair band that keeps my ears warm....they not good headphones for sound quality...

The cords both lasted longer than the headphones themselves. Buy the studios they are better quality. Lasted only about 10 months.

Beats Headphones had been all over the place one or two years ago. I'd tried a pair in one of the Apple Retail Stores and I thought this is the right pair of headphones for me. However, after prolonged use, I need to admit that this is one of the worst decision of my life.

First and foremost, this pair of headphones focus too much on the bass. Yes, when I purchased these headphones, I was fond of this kind of music. However, after a few months, I found out that the headphones couldn't handle the high and mids very well. The bass often dominates, even on occasions that the high or mids should be emphasised. The headphones can handle high, mids and bass SEPARATELY in my opinion, but when all the 3 are combined together, expect the bass to stand out.

Next on the list is comfort. Solo HD has leather ear cups, which I highly appreciate. However, maybe because I have large ears, but it seems to me that the headphones are kind of small. I can't use these headphones for more than one hour because my ears will hurt.

Lastly it's the quality itself. After half a year I started to notice that the right side of my headphones had some sort of buzzing sounds when I turn the volume up. I got myself a replacement shortly after I discovered the problem. However, my current pair had the same problem on the left side after half a year again.

199.95 USD is way too high for this pair of headphones with such quality. The reason I'm still giving 2-stars is because the design of the headphones is one of the best on the market, and the bass, well, is not bad at all. Consider these only if you're up to bass music, or else your music will be horribly distorted.

Super bass heavy! Buy them only if you're a serious bass head. Some tracks sound ok, but if you listen to more than hip hop or dubstep move on because they sound REALLY bad on everything else. They look cool, but are starting to become a cliche and a bit cheesy. I personally was surprised at how bad they sounded considering they are so popular.
