    Works like a charm

Took all of 5 seconds to get set up. Integration with the iPad is fantastic and it actually (finally) starts to make working in non email/text/photo apps (e.g. spreadsheets) 10x easier. One downside, you can't flip it over if you just want to use the screen interface, but (at least for me) it's a minor change in habit more than anything.

    Great Keyboard

I was comparing the Zapp case and this new Logitech unit and found that the feature that really sold me on this was how easy it is to remove the iPad from the magnetic keyboard. I only use the keyboard 15-20% of the time I use the iPad but at those times I need it for some real text entry. Keyboard is very high quality and has lasted for months without needing a charge. When closed up the magnets that hold on the keyboard work better than my smart cover and when setup the angle for typing is perfect to me. If you're looking for a keyboard this is the best one I have found after trying quite a few.

Nice idea and look - scratched my iPad

I really like the look of the keyboard and it attaches nicely to my iPad. The problem is that it scratched the protective overlay on my iPad. For as good as Logitech products have been, this one is a huge disappointment.

Turns iPad into a legitimate laptop!

I travel extensively for my consulting work and need the internet, word processing and spreadsheet functionality and constant access to email. The ipad does all of that, but with this keyboard I don't need to haul my laptop with me any longer. Pair up this keyboard with an App like CloudOn and I get most things done on the road. The keyboard is amazing. It's sleep, connects quickly/easily and looks VERY sharp. I get compliments every time I use it. Highly recommend. The only drawbacks are easy to over come. You don't have all the shortcuts you have with a laptop keyboard, but with the touchscreen you can be more effective and quicker with your typing and web surfing than without the keyboard.

    Disables Spell Check

Nice keyboard...smaller than other external kbs, but that's because it fits on iPad...for some strange reason, it somehow disables auto correct, auto capitalization and spell check in iPad's Mail application...disappointing.

this keyboard is very helpful in times of needing to know where the keys are....love the mag snap to set it in place before i start to type, and the keys press very well....just wish it had a matte finish, since that is what i prefer and dont care for fingerprint marks. i can live with that because of the quality and comfort of typing and transport. i love to be able to switch back and forth between this keyboard and my smart cover depending on what i plan to do on a given day. this is a great product .....battery life is great too

Contrary to the pictures in the preview, you can set your iPad up vertically. Judging by the pictures I was worried I'd have to my iPad 4 in landscape mode (horizontal) so it would stay in place. My iPad sits at a perfect angle (especially vertically) when sitting in the logitech's placeholder. The bluetooth was immediately recognized and paired immediately. No having to type in numbers. Just be sure to turn on bluetooth in your settings and charge your keyboard beforehand. It says one charge will last about 6 months if you use the keyboard a few hours a day, so I have no idea if it's true or not. Though not a typical "full size" keyboard, it has arrow keys!!! Why Apple doesn't have arrow keys on it's on-screen keyboard is beyond me. If there is a way to add arrow keys, I haven't figured it out. Why is that important? Try sticking a finger in the exact spot of a paragraph to add a missing apostrophe or delete an extra letter.

This alone, at least to me, makes it worth the price. It's also well-made, sturdy, and makes a great case when you're done using it. As I said before, I have the iPad 4, and while this keyboard like some others does not allow you to charge your iPad, you'll have to look elsewhere. There is no slot for the new dock connector or the old 30-pin one. But what it lacks there, it more than makes up for in speeding up your typing. If you are used to typing 55 words per minutes, you'll be in luck. With Apple's built-in spell checker, you'll never misspell a word again. The keyboard also has function keys, a home button (which behaves just like the iPad's), caps locks, delete key, numbers at the top, and more. Alas, no command+tabbing to switch between open apps (if you're reading this Logitech, please fix that!). All your shortcut keys work just like on a Mac (select all, copy, paste, etc...), and again, it has arrow keys. This is worth every penny and with free shipping from Apple it's cheaper than most stores.

    Greatest Keyboard around

I have had this keyboard for about 5 months now and I absolutely love it. My iPad stays in place without a problem. I have a jack russell who jumps all over me and it never has fallen out of the magnetic track while I am using it. The battery lasts forever. I have only had to charge mine 3 times in 5 months and I am on this iPad almost every evening. It magnetically attaches to closing clip with no effort at all and closes very snug. I never had used any other keyboard other than this one and I never will. Great Quality and worth every penny I paid for it. I would tell anyone looking for a high quality keyboard to go for this one. It has never failed me and you really get what you pay for. Great product!!!!

    A Fragile Hinge

Good keyboard. But the hinge for use as an iPad cover is too frail. I, for one, would be willing to pay more for a keyboard/cover with a magnetic hinge made of aircraft aluminum.

I have been using this keyboard for over a month now, and have no regrets. The keys feel excellent, the additional functions are great, it's light and it looks like it belongs on the ipad. A fantastic keyboard that I would definitely recommend to friends!

Tis is a poor design. The attachment is similar to the smart cover but the keyboard is heavy. If you drop it, and you will, it will break off the keys and they will not assist in replacing keys.

    Invaluable purchase

With the amount of word processing, slideshows, and spreadsheets I work on for my profession (academia), the Logitech keyboard cover for iPad has transformed my iPad from a mostly consumption device to a creation device. Since this purchase, my laptop stays at home. The case is durable, keyboard layout is easy to become accustomed to and creates a pleasant long-term typing experience. Short cut keys are intuitive as well. Minor scratches may result from placing the cover down on questionable surfaces but is expected. Battery life is incredible. No regrets with this product.

We would highly recommend this. The keyboard is very nice and sits well at a table or meeting. The angle of the ipad while in the upright position is perfect for viewing while typing or listening. This is a functional, well made, good looking product, that works great. It is sturdy, protective, and sleek. The magnets are strong, but we may purchase a neoprene cover to keep it solid during transport.

    Nice Idea, Poor Execution

    • Written by from Chalfont

Dettached keys out of the box and right shift key only partially funcitional.

The magnets are weak and do not hold the cover in place when openning.

The keyboard had a nice tactile quality and typing was easy even for my bigger hands.

This a great idea, but not executed to an appropriate quality level.

Works well as a keyboard but not made well for cover

Keyboard works extremely well but the magnet does not hold onto the ipad securely enough. It keeps on falling off the ipad. So what is the point of having a magnet? just buy a cheaper bluetooth keyboard and carry it with you.

it has scrambled my ipad screen

I have had this keyboard for about 4 months and yesterday, when I clipped my iPad 3 into it, it scrambled the screen and continues to do so. its looks like a tube TV on a bad channel. I have to trick the iPad into 'forgetting' the keyboard by cutting the keyboard on and off and cutting the iPad off and waiting. Then clip it in, and take it out again. Why is it doing this??

there is a delay between typing and stuff showing up on the screen which is annoying, and the keys are a lot less comfortable than the zagg pro plus, and the keyboard does not have backlighting either. just too rickety to get comfortable with.

Lovely functional keyboard but found the ipad kept falling off the keyboard (this was from my desk). The area that holds the ipad also became tacky after about 7 months and kept sticking to the ipad screen cover and pulling it off. Quite disappointing for $100!

Works great, very handy iPad accessory

I purchased the Logitech Keyboard Cover for iPad with my new iPad from the Apple Store in December, and I love it. It works great - haven't had a single problem. The only thing I wish it featured is some type of non-slip, rubberized pads or feet on the bottom. The iPad-like surface slips easily across your desk when typing, and soon scratches. Aside from that complaint, I love it.
