This case is super cute, fun, flirty... and slippery as all get out. I dropped my phone so many times because it just slides right out of your hand when you're pulling out of a bag/pocket. Thankfully, it protected my phone every time it fell, but the case cracked after the 4th drop and I had to find a new one. At $40 a pop, that can get expensive. If you're accident prone or keep your phone in a pocket, this case probably isn't for you.

Not only is this case cute it protects your phone. I've dropped my phone a few times and there was no damage to the phone. There might get a few dings on it from dropping it but what do you expect will happen if you drop something. Now I'm just waiting to see if they make this case for the iPhone 5! Can't wait to see what Kate Spade comes out with for the iPhone 5!

I was so excited for this case because it was so cute, but about 3 days after i started using the case I realized I wasn't receiving any calls. To make a long story short it turned out the case was blocking my calls. I'm not sure if it was a defect with my particular case or not but it was very disappointing.

For style alone, I would give this cover 5 stars. It is adorable and looks great on the black iPhone. The shiny plastic and Kate spade logo on the back make it very classy and cute. Unfortunately, this is one of the less functional cases I have used. The plastic is so slippery that it seems to fly out of my hand or off of surfaces all the time. Whenever it crashes to the ground, the case pops off and the pieces fly everywhere. Luckily, each time this has happened, my phone and the case have been ok - only a few dents on the corners of the case to show for it - so far, anyways. I am worried that one of these times my phone is going to crack because it seems to provide little to no protection when dropped - it can't possibly protect the phone if it comes apart! Also, every time it's dropped, it seems to warp the case or something because it never completely snaps back on anymore. I am constantly snapping one side or the other back closed again, only to have it pop open a few minutes later. I am willing to suffer a bit for fashion, but not where my expensive phone is concerned! I would rather have bought a plainer, more protective and functional case.

I love this case...I bought the case because it is cute.
But, it has performed well, saving my phone from damage multiple times.
In the most recent drop, I was sure the drop would kill my iPhone screen. Even my daughter was sure the phone was dead. We picked it up and just a nick to the corner of the case.
The only drawback to the case is that it is not a case you'd remove frequently. However, I've had cases where I thought I'd damage my phone trying to get the case off and this is not one of those cases. I prefer cases where you can slide the end off for docking, but so far, I have only had problems docking on one device.
It's worth the money, and the small hassle, for a case that protects my phone.

I love the look of this case. THe problem is it's hard plastic and breaks. Based on the cost, I expected it to last a little longer....

I was apprehensive to buy this case due to reviews that said it is not protective. I could not disagree more! I used this case for about 9 months and dropped it on almost a daily basis and my phone was never damaged in the slightest bit. One example: when getting out of my car one day, I dropped my phone, stepped on it and slid 3 feet. The case and phone were unharmed. Amazing!
My case was becoming slightly dinged up around the corners and the area near the volume button had a small crack (due to excessive dropping) so I bought a replacement (Kate Spade) case to have on hand when this original case broke. After waiting 3 months, I went ahead and switched to my new case as the original was still holding strong.
The only negative comment about the case is that it prevents using a docking station, but that was not a big deal to me.
The case is adorable and protective and I highly recommend it.

The case looks nice, but it broke (the pink plastic on the outside snapped) within 4 months of having it. I am rough on my phone, but I had my previous case (incase) for 3 years without any problems! It's also a very big case - so it makes your phone look HUGE!

I received this as a gift for Christmas and the first night it was on it broke. And it even shattered the back of my phone as well. Very cheaply made and will never buy another Kate Spade product.

Really sharp and good looking. Bought one for my wife and she had to take the phone in and out of the case to charge the phone a few times until she got the right adapter. It wouldn't stay snapped together after that. Bought a 2nd and never opened up the case. It fell apart fairly quickly due to normal daily use. Good looking product but not up to real world use.
