Reviews for Moshi 13" iGlaze Shell Case for MacBook Air

When I a little dent into my new air when my phone fell onto it, I decided it was time for a hard case. After doing a lot of research and seeing the common problem of shells breaking very easily, I picked this Moshi in pearl white, based on reviews indicating that it was a bit more sturdy than others.

Pros: sturdy-doesn't feel like it will break too easily and makes my computer feel much more durable. Color- more opaque than expected but still looks quite nice. And I also appreciate that it is totally smooth along the bottom (where your wrists are when you are typing). Super easy to put on, and seemingly easy to take off.

Con: When the case is on design doesnt allow the screen to open very far. I think I will find this quite annoying considering that Im more often than not using my computer in settings other than a standard desk/table (But, I would think this is a common problem with most cases)

Overall the pros outweigh the con and I think that of the options out there this is a great choice.

I previously had a Speck MBA case, went through 8 of them in 1 year under warranty, It keep breaking the in the same area, the bottom back 2 tabs. I called them numerous times letting them know how to fix it.

When I saw and read some reviews, I needed a new case to again replace my broken Speck case. The Moshi iGlaze shell case had found the solution. It has two tabs in the middle of the bottom case, totaling 6 instead of 4. Those 2 extra tabs will keep the bottom case in place and prevent the bottom back 2 tabs from breaking.

Great work from Moshi. I also notice the case is slightly thicker which should make the case last longer. This is the case for your MBA. Wish there were more colors, but I think that will come in time....

Easy to install, makes it a lot easier to use your macbook on your lap when your legs are bare :)

I purchased the clear Moshi case for my new MacBook Air and couldn't be happier. It figs snugly to the notebook but removes easily for cleaning. The case does not inhibit the opening or closing of the notebook and I have not noticed any scratching to the outside of the notebook when I removed it for cleaning. This is a great case for the MacBook Air!

I had to replace this cover after only 4 months. Cracks on top cover at both corner ends. Bottom of cover, two round non-slip feet gone within 2 months, corner cracked to one of the feet. Another crack 1/2 way to corner foot. Side of bottom cover is broken off near where power supply area is located.
I do not take this computer outside of the house and it is usually kept in one area only.

This case is definitely one of the more expensive cases for the MacBook Air but you get what you pay for. Case goes on and off very easily. Does not take away from the streamlined Air either. If you purchase the translucent one, it looks like the case is not even on. There are four rubberized feet on the bottom to prevent any sliding around. Look no further, trust all the positive reviews, this is definitely the case to buy!

I wanted to protect the investment of my MacBook Air and heard good reviews on Moshi 13" iGlaze Shell so I ordered it online. It arrived in 2 business days and I am 100% satisfied with this product. It is slim, matte, lightweight, snaps on easily and fits my Mac perfectly. The addition of the 4 rubber feet on the bottom is a great option which helps to prevent your Mac from slipping on a glass or high-gloss surface. I had purchased Speck for my previous MacBooks but prefer Moshi hands down.

Wanted some protection to keep my new 13" MacBook Air looking good. The cover snaps on very easily and is a tight solid fit. It opens to the stops for the display. I am not rough with my computer but wanted to keep scuffs and scratches off the case. This works perfectly and the clear cover is almost invisible. This should keep the case looking brand new for years.

This is the best case i can find so far. It protects it from scratches and it is almost invisable. i had it on for a week before people started realizing something was diffrent about it

At first receipt, I loved this case. Life caught up quick and the case did not stand up to it. First failing, less than a 2 foot drop in a bag off the back of my roller luggage. Lower from right corner of MBA 13 bent, case cracked. An even smaller drop out of a chair, also in the bag, the upper rear iGlaze case cracked on both corners. Between drops, while only in use for about 5 months, 2 rubber pads disappeared from the bottom of the case. Summary - Looks great at first, doesn't last. Disappointed relative to the high cost. Maybe OK for people that just want scratch protection and good looks. Not for travelers.
