    Fragile USB receptor - Lasted less than 1 month

    I will be returning this to the Apple Store tonight. Nice design, but cheaply engineered. Disappointed. Might be good if you dont ever plan to unplug the wire from the base, if you do you"ll have to be very careful not to bend the fragile metal parts in the base receptor.

    Best car charger on the market by far. Reason 1. Extremely small for what it does. Reason 2. has 2 USB ports so you and the person in the passengers seat can charge at the SAME TIME. Reason 3. Each USB port has enough power to charge an IPad. So you can charge 2 IPads at the same time (or IPods/Iphones etc..). Reason 4. It lasted me so far about 6 months and never had one problem.

    Doesn't Work

    I have now tried two of these and they both do the same thing. One device, plugged into one of the USB ports works great. It charges my iPhone 4S more quickly than any other car charger I have used. When you plug a second device in, however, neither one gets power and you have to unplug both devices, unplug the charger and then plug it back in to get it to work again. My intent was to power my Elevate 4G Hotspot and my iPhone, but it won't do it. The vehicle is a full size Range Rover. I even took the truck to the dealer to be sure that it wasn't the problem, but they said the RR was fine. The problem occured on 3 of the vehicle's outlets.
    Looking for another solution

    Charges both iPhone and ipad at the same time, buuuuut...

    Charges both devices, iphone 5 and ipad 3 at an ipad charger speed.

    However, the device does not fit in my socket in my car very well. However it has fit in every other cigarette port snugly, so i think its just my car....

    Works great. I recommend this to everyone.

    Excellent Product

    I got this product because of course I wanted to charge two devices at the same time in the car. It performs beautifully, and maybe it's my imagination, it seems like it charges my phone even faster, What I really like about the cable is that it's reinforced at the connection point unlike Apple-product cables that bunch, twist and break at this junction. I may buy another just to get the cable.

    pictures could be deceiving

    Thought it came with 2 charger/sync cords..like in the pictures...i guess i should've looked more closely..haven't tried the charger yet..but looks like it'll do the job..just wish they would've clarified that only one cord came with charger.

    I just bought this charger today 9/9/12 and I'm pleased with it so far. It charges my iPhone 4 much faster than my last USB car charger, about as quick as when it's plugged into the wall. I used the Apple USB cord that came with the phone so I can't speak to the quality of the USB cord provided. The charger has a nice rubberized coating on it. I like that it has a 2.1 amp output to both USB ports and Apple's site says it supports all current iProducts including the new iPad, although I haven't tried it yet. My wife and I can charge our phones at the same time now if necessary without tying up additional cigarette lighters. This USB charger stuck out approximately 0.75"-1" out of my lighter, so it's not as low profile as some others (i.e. Griffin PowerJolt), but it's additional power output more than makes up for that and it takes up very little room compared to my last one which was about 4 inches long! All in all a great product, a little pricey, but as long as it doesn't die on me I'll recommend it to everyone!

    I don't have one apple product. I have them all. Not to mention usually I'm in the car with someone who has an iphone or ipad as well. No need to fight over who charges their phone first, or even switch between iphones. Plug them both in and let them charge. When i saw this in the apple store, i knew it was a must have for my car.
