Have been using this product for the past year now and I just had to attest to powerful a tool this device is. A lot of bang for the buck. The database is pretty accurate as well. Downsides a minimal compared to the advantages. Well with it!!

This is a great radar detector. I have been stopped way to many times for speeding and should have purchased a radar detector years ago. It is really not my fault, I moved to Texas and the roads are straight and flat.:) This detector has now saved me several times from being stopped again. I have noticed some false reads but they are better than a 250 dollar speeding ticket. Now that being said, this is a radar detector and a laser detector but if you get hit with a laser, well, lets just say pull over because you will be busted. you have absolutely no warning for the laser. I was hit by a laser the other day and all I heard was the detector say "laser" when I looked the cop was right there. I was not speeding at the time so, no ticket. Rural areas will not have lasers. The laser detectors are in the bigger cities. Dallas, Houston, etc. I really believe this detector is worth the money, I almost purchased the escort radar detector and that was way more expensive than this one. My thought process was, lets try the cheaper one first and if it works great, if not well then I will buy the more expensive one. I have no idea if the escort radar detector is better and I never will because this iRadar is perfect. Hope this review helps someone.

Having owned the iRadar for over a year now, I must say the performance hasn't disappointed. In its earlier iterations, the cobra app had a few glitches, which seem to have been ironed out more recently. The only remaining issue is the apparent lack of feedback from user marked areas. The hardware itself is minimalistic, and with single LED display, doesn't lend itself to being a detector. When stopped for a busted taillight, the officer never took note of it sitting below my rear view mirror. Detection performance is great, I have only come across a few false alarms, which can be marked via the iPhone's GPS. Addressing the cigarette lighter durability issue, I solved that with a hardwire kit. It also cleaned up the dashboard immensely, but only install it if you're confident in your knowledge of your cars 12 volt system.

I have used this for about 2 months now and i love it. I havent had any problems and it did good enough that i think it deserves a better review. This has saved me from getting caught in speed traps and has some really cool features. The only down side is that it doesn't have a place to put your iphone but i have a magnetic case on my iphone that holds it into place on my dash. If you want a radar detector then i suggest getting this one.
