    Complete waste of money

    Bought these headphones (black) one month ago for my iPhone 5S. After two weeks, the "volume down" button stopped working. Great when a loud song comes on and you're on your bike in the middle of traffic. Also, my iPhone keeps jumping out of my playlists with this product. Additionally, it routinely opens iPhone's camera, draining a lot of battery, and shooting pictures instead of adjusting the volume. Today finally, they made my iPhone call my last contact (my boss), without me doing anything - just sitting on the bike again. What a waste of money.

    Defective and unsafe

    The right earbud of these delivers little "static shocks" to my ear each time I use these and it is painful and annoying. The Apple Store wouldn't refund or help me out. I thought I was getting a quality product by shopping at the Apple Store, but I was clearly wrong.

    Save your Money

    These are the WORST earbuds I have ever owned. I loved my Apple earbuds and gave them to my Dad, I thought since these were on their web page and cost more must be better. Total trash, you can hear your heart beat and every simple touch or even movement on your shirt of the wire is heard in you ears. I would rather have Audiobox (laughable ) than this.
    I just got them last night and all I want is my money back. By the way GOOD luck trying your patience to change the ear sizes.
    All in all. ZERO product, I'm disappointed in Apple to have it on their web page. That's the only reason I bought it. I have been thrilled with EVERYTHING I have bought from Apple. I have a Mac book pro and a mini iPad, bought all of my friends and family apple earbuds for Christmas because they rock. My dad wanted mine so I gave them to him then bought these thinking well on apple page cost more must be great. wRONG!
    Save your money ----- just trash. Really disappointed in Apple for even approving of this poor quality product. Yea I'm out 70 or so bucks, now I know just cause it's on apples page.
    Doesn't mean a thing. Just another product at your own risk.

    Terrible sound quality. Exchanging for Apple Earphones!

    I just received my RHA MA450i and was shocked at the poor quality of the sound. I immediately compared it with my Apple EarPods and the difference was so great I had to wonder how the reviewers who raved about the RHA came about their positive rating!

    I listen to audiobooks daily and like a crisp sound to capture the various tones and timbre of the narrator. I'd assume a classical music lover would be even more demanding. The sound quality of the RHA is so "woolly" and muffled, I couldn't pick up the tonal nuances of the narrator. I am extremely surprised how bad it is compared to my Apple Earpods which are cheaper (Apple: $29 vs RHA: $49.95). Like most people who listen to music or audiobooks on the go, we have backup ear phones and while very happy with my EarPods, thought I'd try a different brand based on the reviews here. Boy, do I regret following them!

    I called my local Apple store to ask to exchange it for the Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic $118 but it's closed for the day. Hopefully I can get they will deliver the new ones and take back the RHA! Seriously, don't waste your money over this one. The Apple EarPod and almost half the price gives you three times the sound quality.

    Very Disappointing

    I had to replace my Apple EarPods and thought since the RHA MA450i earphones are a bit pricier than Apple's, they would be even better. Here is my experience with these:

    The first issue I have is the braided cable which is said to reduce tangles. It may just have been my set of earphones but they tangled a lot, more so than most other earphones. Not a big deal, though; I only use them to and from work. I can deal with tangling earphones but to promote a non-tangling cable is not right.

    The second issue has to do with the remote; it's supposed to control the volume, skip songs, answer calls, even use it with Siri. The functions of the remote are pretty much the same as the Apple EarPods (ex: click twice to skip song). The problem is the remote was not successful in doing any of them right; it's pretty buggy. It's hard to turn the volume up and down; when you get it to work, it makes a loud clicking sound for everyone around you to hear. When you try and pause the music, it doesn't always work and skipping songs doesn't work at all, no matter how long you wait between the clicks. In 25 tries of skipping a song, it paused 18 times instead, tried to use Siri 6 times, and was only successful in skipping a song 2 times.

    The last straw were the ear-buds. Sure, they have seven ear-buds of different sizes; I thought they would be perfect for my very small ears (always have an issue with earphones falling out even while standing still). They were perfect; the smallest ear-buds worked well for me until the left piece somehow fell off and was lost. No problem, I'll use the next smallest ones which seem to also fit in my ears. However, the tips do not fit on the headphones. I struggled for 10 minutes trying to replace the ear-buds without success. A bit hard to wear the headphones when you can't even replace the tips.

    Maybe I received a faulty set but I do not recommend these earphones. Had to return these for a refund. Thankfully I encountered all these issues within 2 days of purchase. I was happy that Apple was great to deal with and returning them via UPS was not a problem.

    Bad build quality, good sound

    These are great earphones but the right earphone just stopped working 2 weeks after I bought them. The mic controller connection just broke!

    Poor sound, poor design, Poor “noise canceling”.

    The sound is among poorest of any head phones I've ever had. I run and I'm a huge consumer of the disposable one dollar amazon knock-offs. Most of those sound bad, but these RHAs are by far the worst.

    They have to be IN your ear. Not in your ear like normal ear buds are in your ear. They actually have to be inside your ear. It's uncomfortable. But the good news is that they won't stay there very long. They fell out very frequently. Even pivoting my head between two monitors at work caused them to fall out at a rate of about once a minute. They come with an assortment of tips that increase in diameter. I wasn't able to find one that fit. I couldn't try them all because it is very difficult to change. When they are in your ear properly, it sounds like you are wearing ear plugs or you are under water. Hold your hands tightly over your ears and turn up your stereo uncomfortably loud...That's what these sound like. As others have mentioned, any movement of the cord caused a noisy disturbance.

    Looking at the reviews most people love them. I don't get it. I guess me and my apparently misshapen ear holes will be returning these and purchasing something else.

    Terrible headphone!! Puts a heavy noise when you touch the wire!!

    People who cook should taste the food before serving to others. Guys who designed these headsets never used them at all.

    I am using this headphone sitting in front of a computer (I am in IT) and it puts a heavy noise even for a slight movement. Whenever it touches anything (like a shirt collar), it makes an irritating noise. Apple should *NOT* even list these headphone in its Store. Big disgrace to Apple to carry them here.

    Broken in 3 weeks

    Opened the box and fumbled fitting the right sized earbuds.. Once that task was complete they sounded pretty good. Even though the chord was about a foot and a half too long I was pleased with the sound. For about 3 weeks until the left bud stopped working.
    Highs- decent sound, bloked out noise
    Lows- long chord, fabric sheath that knots easy, weak connections prone to failure

    Simply Awful

    There was nothing at all I liked about these earphones. They sounded like tin. No range, terrible base, and they distorted if you turned them up too loud. Also the plastic pieces did not fit on nicely and kept falling off either in my ear or on the floor. Huge disappointment.
