My husband has the QC15 and I have these!!!! These are more expensive because the battery is rechargeable and they are lighter and smaller for us smaller gals!!! The sound quality is beyond awesome, the fit incredibly comfortable and the case awesome!!!! Despite the high cost that we all hate, the quality and sound of BOSE is just the best!!! As they say, you get what you pay for!!!!!

Absolutely excellent sound and very good noise cancellation

    • Written by from Belleville

I enjoy Bose. I have the QC 15, I have the QC 20I, and the ones I'm going to talk about the QC 3. Out of all three I believe the QC 3 has the better sound, followed by the quiet comfort 20I and lastly QC 15. I feel that it has a warmer tone and a very enjoyable bass of the quiet comfort 3 more so than the others. they are very very comfortable you don't have to fiddle with placement on new years to get the best sound like the Bowers and Wilkins P5 which I own as well. It does come with a microphone cord the newer versions of it for the quiet comfort 3. It's very comfortable it's a pleasure to wear for quite some time for long listening sessions. A lot of people not the proprietary battery but if you're buying these headphones you already know what you're buying so you can't knock it for what it has its all your choice the purchase. But overall comfort sound and presentation meeting the full experience of them is absolutely excellent I consider these my favorite headphones of all time up to this point. The Bowers and Wilkins come close but because of having to constantly shifts the earbuds for coffered and sound to get better base it hurts the presentation. I feel you should not have to shift headphones around to get best sound you should be able to just put on your ears enjoy the music I think nothing else of it. But this isn't a review of the Bowers and Wilkins yo I don't think they sounds good but they are close. An order from my experience though my favorite Bose headphones are these in order. Bose quiet comfort 3 for sound and for very good cancellation. Bose quiet comfort 20I for excellent noise cancellation a very good sound and the Bose quiet comfort 15 has excellent noise cancellation but not great sound. Particularly at high levels the 15 spell with crackling sound gets distorted. All I would say if you could sample any or all of these headphones go to Bose store they have the best showcase for the earphones and earbuds. Even offer payment plans that Apple don't and I think it makes them quite more flexible than most would think. Just remember if you are an audio file anywhere specifically about the charts and the science of sound then these headphones might not be for you at all but if you're a person that likes a really good sound and your ears are the judge and you're not worried about the science of sound but just listening to music to enjoy it and have a great experience these maybe for you. Remember some of the best things don't need to be explained by science. : ) I hope this helps anybody interested in any of these models thank you for reading this.

I bought the QE3 headphones recently and I have to say I love them. First off, they are very comfortable. This is a very important factor for me when it comes to buying headphones. I purchased Beats by Dre and, even thought they sounded great, they were so heavy they actually gave me a headache. The QE3's are lightweight, the headband is not too tight and the earpieces are soft. They also have the noise cancelling feature. Honestly, I think this feature is better in the Bose over the ear headphones (QE15). However, I hate over the ear headphones. The QE3 still filters out a great deal of the unwanted ambient noise. This feature requires a rechargeable battery (included) which, according to the booklet in the box, lasts for 25 hours fully charged. One of the reviewers complained that he had to wait a few hours to recharge the battery after it went dead implying he was without his headphones for that period of time. All you have to do is recharge your battery everyday when you go to sleep at night and you will be fine. If you have an issue with that I suppose you can always buy another battery (less than $50). As for sound, I was surprised these headphones had such rich bass. I had the Bose AE2 and I have the Bose OE2 headphones. Neither one of those have the same rich bass as the QE3. This is a plus for me because I listen to a lot of hip hop. The highs are very clear as well. It has great all around sound which is, let's face it, THE most important feature in a pair of headphones. My only complaints: expense, bulky carrying case and it's not wireless. Of course, all Bose products are expensive. The carrying case is bulky because it carries the headphones, battery charger, airplane plug adapter, extra cord and a slot for an extra battery. Lastly, if the headphones were wireless...they would be perfect.

    Dissatisfied Customer!!

I own several Bose products and I love them all, but I'm very disappointed in the sound and product quality of my headphones. The headphones are all plastic except for the leather. I'm returning these and buying the Bowers & Wilkins.

    LOVE THESE

These headphones are amazing! I travel a lot and absolutely hate to fly! These have completely eliminated my flight anxiety. I can actually focus on my music/movies on my ipad without hearing people talking, engine noises, captain interruptions, etc. Anyone who hates traveling really should own these. I can finally sit back and actually enjoy the quiet time in the air with my music and movies.

    5 stars for comfort

    • Written by from Woodinville

The name of product says it all - comfort. These are the only pair of headphones my wife actually likes. Why? 100% comfort. The ear cushion material is incredibly soft. The band does not apply much pressure (making every Beats headphones feel like clamps). It is simply put - the most comfortable pair of headphones my wife has ever worn.

If you want sound quality, you will never buy Bose or Beats. These are "good" not "great" for sound quality, but for comfort they are best in class.

    Awesomeness!

I've owned a few different headphones and I have to say these are the best I've ever owned. I was skeptic at first since they were on ear, but now I can say I'am satisfied with these headphones and give props to Bose for another great product. If money isn't and issue I really recommend these without doubt.

I used it with iPod classic, and the sound was great. The volume limit for iPod is better compare with iphone 4. Which is quite small volume. The noise cancelation feature is good. Maybe the price will be the issue for this product. This product is bloody expensive.

    Good but not great

    • Written by from CUPERTINO

I'm a long time user of the Quiet Comfort (first gen) over the ear head phones and then "upgraded" to these last year. I paid the extra and got the mic line so I can use this with my iPhone 4S to make calls and listen to music. Music is fine, no better that the older Quiet Comfort. I'm never that confident the mic is working well (feedback from callers) so I have to lift it up to my mouth to carry on a conversation. A bit annoying because the whole idea is about having my hand free. When the battery dies you have to wait a few hours to change them before you can use them. For the price Bose asks I have to say I'm going to look elsewhere for my next headset. The market is too competitive and Bose's premium is no longer cutting it for me.

    Love them

I dont know what the guy in the previous review was talking about but these headphones dont come with a mic so that could be his problem. I have used these for over a year and do excessive traveling, they work great on international flights to help reduce the plane noise. Sound quality is great and volume levels are perfect. I would buy these again and I would recommend them.

i really wish i could just return this junk back to apple store ... like really at this pricetag

    1) output level is LOW - everything has to be listened to on max volume
    2) the microphone is mounted in such a position you literally have to hold it to your mouth for the counter party to hear anything .

if anyone affiiated with apple stores is reading this your help returning it would be greatly appreciated.
