    Good sound, VERY uncomfortable

The sound is great and they look amazing. However, they are painful to wear for me any longer than 30 minutes. I lent these to some of my friends and they also have the same problem. I was able to MacGyver the problem by bending the metal band out more though.

Great Audio but Poor Construction and the Worst BT Ever

These headphones look fantastic - they are hands down the coolest looking BT headphones on the market. When they work, they work great. Audio is superior, even to an audiophile like me. However, getting them to play music is a constant challenge. I'm not sure if it's the BT connectivity or what, but as other people have described in their reviews, music will just STOP after about ten minutes for no reason at all. And when a song starts there's a horrible sync issue that cuts off the first 15 seconds. This is really unacceptable performance as far as I'm concerned, considering the price. I've tried the Parrot BT headphones, and they work like a breeze. I will be exchanging mine tonight.

These headphones are great looking, and the wireless connectivity works really well, but audiophile-pleasers they are not. You can get much better sound quality for the money.

I bought the headphones yesterday ... I cannot believe this. I just paid $250 for a pair of headphone and it wont connect to my MBP. C'mon this is ridiculous ! Also, the users manual is horrible. Doesnt tell you nothing. At least if it's not going to work the way we think it should, include a manual so that we can figure it out. I am returning thiem and will be buying the BOSE with cable ... I would be ZERO stars but seems I can't !!!!

I ordered this before I read the review and I was kinda scared with all the negative comments about this product. After I got this product delivered and tested it I was REALLY impressed. The style and the sound Quality is excellent I used this with my Ipod touch 3g and I walked around the apartment with the ipod in the living room.I was so happy and I will definitely recommend this product.

Poor performance and unreliab make this set of headphones not worth it

I bought this product excited because it had two things I was looking for: style and function. While the style is pretty cool, the function is terrible. The headphones don't seem to charge properly, and the Bluetooth connectivity is unreliable at best. I turn the headphones on and they will not connect the Bluetooth. I turn them off in an attempt to reconnect, and the headphones will not power back on. I put the phones on a charger and let them charge, and after a while they seem to turn back on. It does not seem to be a battery issue, it seems to be a simply poor made product. I would not waste $250 on these headphones, and I will be returning mine as soon as feasibly possible. If you're looking for a good set of Bluetooth phones look somewhere else. It's either that, or perhaps I just got a bad pair; But for a $250 pair of headphones there should be no such thing as a bad pair, Buy at your own risk.

They are $100 ok not $250 ok. The range is not far, can't get it to lip sync with video and I get about one dropout per song. But the most annoying thing... Anything that touches or brushes up against the hard plastic ear-cup resonated through the audio, this also goes for any kind of exercise. I think that they will get it right eventually but right now I can do better for less.

    Harman/Kardon BT

I really like the sound quality. That's all the good I can say. For some reason on both my iphone 5 and iphone 4s the sound just stops. If i pause and play the music it will start again for about 20 or 30 mins then fail again. Also, when one song ends and the other begins it seems to have a sync issue. I really like these things when it works. Not sure if its worth $250. Trading in for Klipsch Mode M40 Noise Canceling Headphones.

Harman... No questions asked... i thought.... but hugely disaapointed.

Am exchanging it for the 3 rd hird time in a span of 2 months. The bluetooth refuses to charge.

The tiny red light goes off within 5 minutes after i put them to charging. I tried on my laptop as well as in a plug socket but to no avail.

Planning to exchange it now for Zik.....

    Excellent audio, Bluetooth issues/design flaws

First off, I'm using this headset in the same room no further than 15ft away from audio source. PRO: Excellent audio clarity, clear vocal, clean sufficient heavy bass. Comparable to Shure in-ear E215. CON: with iOS 6.0.1 on my iPhone 4S, skipping/progression to every next song creates split-second skip/split-second repeat of beginning of song, FREQUENT delay (audio fast-forward to catch up) and dropped audio while playing a song requiring pressing play/pause button to resume play. With iOS 6.0.1 on 4gen iPad, FREQUENT audio silences while playing songs, disrupted signal while iPad cover is closed and my body is in between headphones and iPad. DESIGN FLAWS: My 3yr old cheap ($75) Plantronic/AltecLansing BT headphones have NONE of these BT issues! I have a more-medium/large-sized head. Should provide mid-sized metal headband (big is TOO loose, default small is too tight), no audio feedback when in BT connection mode, no audio up/down feedback, no dedicated forward/backward buttons (enough space on headset for these), not enough padding. SUMMARY: Very buggy Bluetooth/connectivity issues comparing to cheap headphones from 3yrs ago. Persuaded to return these despite excellent audio quality. Does not live up to Harman/Kardon's name. A big let down since sold exclusively by Apple and if it's an iOS 6 issue, even worse. It doesn't matter that these are Harman/Kardon's first BT headphones. They need to look at what other less expensive headphones can do and do a better job. I find the issues unacceptable. Apple, please listen.

Great Value but only Good, Not Great Overall

    • Written by from Los Angeles

I've been looking for that 'perfect' pair of wireless, bluetooth headphones for the last few months, and I've tried them all (except for the Denon AH-NCW500).

As with my review of the Parrot Zik, I'll be short and to the point:

(please note, my reviews are based on using these as wireless headphones / Headsets - all sets I've tested can be used with a wire, but that's not the point of buying a wireless set)

    PROS:
    - They are a great value for the money. (meaning you get a lot of headphone for under the $400 range)
    - They link up via BT very quickly and stay connected well, few to no drops
    - The band on the top of the head is very comfortable, to the point where you almost forget it is there
    - Most of the materials 'feel' high-end
    - The sound quality is very good, crisp, well balanced and "fills" your head
    - Battery life was actually very good compared to other bluetooth headphones in this price range

    CONS:
    - Believe it or not, I found the square shape to be cumbersome. I have a slightly larger head than average and I felt that the edges of the pads were squeezing my ears as opposed to cupping them
    - Although the top of the band was very comfortable, the tightness was felt at the top point of the ears, where the swivel joint was located - high pressure point
    - Lack of control for the overall sound was disappointing

(to be fair, I am only making this comment, because the Parrot Zik give you so much control over the sound, that not having this same level of control for the HK BT's feels like it's missing something)

    - The control buttons on the side of the cups were the only disappointment when it came to the build and material, the buttons felt cheap and plastic and like they might break if pushed too hard

If I had never tried the parrot zik, I may have kept the HK BT, but the quality of sound was just not there. I'd rather spend the additional $140 dollars and keep the zik's over the HK just for the sound.

    Thanks.

I really like these headphones. I travel a lot and they are great for travel. They look and feel better than the Beats Wireless. They look more Professional. The sound Quality is very good, the only draw back is I wish they got a little bit louder. Besides that if you looking for a great bluetooth pair of headphones i think these are the best on the market and i've tried them all

    Harmon Kardon BT Over-Ear Headphones

    Absolutely love them!
I have previously owned solo HD Beats by Dre. and Monster Inspirations and am glad that i no longer use those.
It really helps that they are bluetooth, you don't have to worry about the wire tangling. Not only that, Harman Kardon is definitely a force to be reckoned with when it comes to audio quality. I absolutely require clean, uninterrupted sound with good bass, mids, and treble and these headphones give me all the aural pleasure i desire and more.

I strongly recommend this product to audiophiles and people who want classy, stylish and modern headphone units and do not want to compromise on sound quality!

Had high expectations for HK product but disappointed with sound quality. Everything else is fine ... just not the sound quality I expected. For $250 and an HK product ... I expected to be blown away by the sound. Was very underwhelming, average sound quality.

To be honest, I had a $50 pair of in ear Polk Audio headphones that had a better sound. For the money there are other options.

Not that good as you would expect

I was considering 3 options: those headphones, Beats Wireless and Parrot Zik.
My gf is using Beats and I really like them, I was wondering if there is anything better on the market. I've read the reviews etc...I didn't go with Ziks as there are too many issues (weight, flaky pause "button") so I had to try those. I had high expectation. I've also read about the issues with them in other reviews.
One of the thing was that people were complaining that they have to switch the headband right away because the regular one is too small. At least they had an option. My biggest issue, and reason for returning them after 5 minutes is:
the "small" headband is too big for me! I know it's "adjustable" blah blah blah, but unfortunately I'm having one issue that nobody mentioned. ANY quicker move forwards or backwards and they slide out of my head. Not fall off completely but slight. This is so annoying and unacceptable that I have to return them.
    Other than that other problems:
    - sound quality is mediocre, not even that good as on the Beats and not even close Bose QC 3..not to mention higher end headphones.
    - bass is pretty weak, clarity is not that good.
If you can live with all that (and you don't have the issue with them falling off) here are the pros:
    - pretty well built (although the buttons feel cheap and plasticky)
    - weight is perfect.
    - connectivity is smooth
