(Cris) from wahoo fitness support recommends right out of box that you open the back remove the battery check the voltage it should be 3 volts these are factory installed and could have sat on the shelf for awhile replace make note of date of new battery. Mine worked great for first 2-3 months then all of a sudden stop working. (Cris) Try resetting the BlueHR. To do this, remove the battery, turn the battery around (upside down) and use it to touch the positive and negative contacts together for 1-2 seconds. This drains off the capacitors and allows the sensor to reset. Make sure the battery door gasket is in place before closing the battery door.
Any other issues contact Wahoo support.
I used the unit for about 2 weeks, and I could not get it to connect. I completed my run, and it never did connect. I replaced the battery, still no connect. I turned off my iPhone 4s and back on, and it connected immediately. Polar's app has a battery level indicator, and after 8 workouts (30 min to 4 hours), it says my new battery is at 53%.
This was a great HRM, way better that my garmin and polar HRM's previously. Hooked up to a multitude of iPhone apps without a problem, mostly MapMyFitness. 11 weeks later, it just stopped working. I put a new battery in it, ran through the troubleshooting, and tried other apps to no avail. Hopefully support will exchange it, though on the Wahoo site they state that no returns from third parties will be accepted, as does Apple's, which seem very convenient for both of them. Crossing my fingers!
