    Great for teleworking

    • Written by from Washington

I telework 1-2 days each week, and I bought this dock for my iPhone 4 so that I could easily participate in conference calls. The dock prevents my phone's battery from draining during 2 hour calls, and it also gives me both a speaker and a "mute" button so that I can simultaneously look at documents, type, and listen to the call. I'm very happy with it, and highly recommend it.

not what it is cracked up to be

    • Written by from Park City

Either I have a lemon or this product is not living up to expectations. When docked, and using speaker phone, the audio fades in and out, Currently (and this is less than one year old) speaker phone does not work at all, and even when I'm using the handset, the audio fades in and out. It worked well for about 1 month. I bought because of other reviews but cannot recommend this to anyone.

Very cool looking; just not great as a speaker phone.

    • Written by from san jose

With much anticipation, I opend the box and saw a really great looking phone dock. Sleek, cool, techy in a slick way. Easy to set up and easy to pair my iphone with bluetooth. Functionally it was intuitive and really looked "smart" on my desk. Then I made a call. Its not that bad as a speaker phone, but honestly, just using my iphone on speaker works better. The sound on my end is good on the iFusion, but to the person I am calling, it just doesnt sound as clear as when I use my iphone on speaker. The handset looks very retro and sleak at the same time. And the handset does work well.....but I never use a handset. I give this product 5 stars for style. And I would probably give it more than 3 stars for funtionality if it worked better as a speaker phone, which is the main reason I purchased it. I was hoping that for $150, the quality of the microphone/speakerphone would have been exceptional, and defintiely better than using the speaker directly on the iphone. Oh well, hopefully the return policy works better than the speaker phone.

    Not reliable

    • Written by from Greensburg

This looked like a good tool for a home office. Worked great for 2 months, great clarity, loved it. Then AltiGen replaced it due to a diagnosed hardware failure. The replacement is unusable, creates too much noise on phone calls. Waiting for a call-back from AltiGen.

    Poor Quality Worse Service

    • Written by from Charlotte

Purchased phone Sept 6. Within a week, all the lights started blinking. Called AltiGen and they said it was a hardware issue to send dock back. Cost me $16.00 to send back. Second unit lasted less then a day and same issues. Called AltGen and they said an apple issue as I didn't buy from them. Apple says go back to AltiGen. I also now have a $160. charger!

    Not Ready Yet...

Worked Great! (while it worked). I unpacked & setup my new unit only to discover it had a non functioning speakerphone mic. Altigen sent me a replacement unit which lasted for about 60 days before it quit functioning (LEDs on all buttons stay lit up). Original shipping costs me about $15, returning the defective unit cost me about $30 (with packaging & insurance), so being that it is beyond the refund period of 30 days, I will just cut my losses at this point & accept the fact that I basically have a $195 charger (not sure how long that will work).

Poor quality wouldn't recommend. Broken out of the box

    • Written by from Austin

I received my iFusion today and it was broken. The speaker worked ok, but the mic didn't allow my voice to transmit. It sound like I was in a tin can and the volume was too low to even hear.

Very bad when you consider the price you pay for the unit. I was hoping to have a nice desktop speakerphone for my iPhone since I work from home a lot. But was very disappointed with the level of quality on this one.

When I unpacked it, i was hopeful since it looked like it was good quality and had a sleek design to it. I wish it would have only worked.

Wow! This is the bomb for use in your home office. It actually offers better reception for my cell phone (more bars)! This was so easy to set up, looks very professional, the quality is top notch and it offers everything my offke phone offers.

I would recommend this to anyone.

Excellent Phone Solution for Small Business

    • Written by from Daniel Island

    Positives:
Works flawlessly. You can even start a call on it and if you have to leave the office just pick up your phone out of the cradle and walk out without ever losing it. With the unlimited calling now offered by the cell services there's no reason not to have this.

    Negatives:
Sensitive to lightning. Mine appears to have gotten fried over the weekend despite a robust surge protector.

    Already broken :-(

    • Written by from New Paltz

I purchased this because my company recently implemented a "one device" policy which meant I could no longer have both a home office land line and a company reimbursed cell phone. Since I have an iPhone 4s that is fully funded (in terms of service) by my company, it wasn't much of a decision to stop service on my home land line.
This left me with a need that I had hoped this product would fulfill. While I travel a significant portion of my work time, I definitely have days when I'm at my home office and need the use of my corporate cell service for conference calls. The iFusion worked fine for a couple of weeks - setup was easy and while it worked, it was pretty much problem-free but after a couple of weeks of use (and about a month of ownership), the speakerphone portion decided to stop working - completely. While I could still pick up the handset and speaker to callers, the speakerphone portion did not work at all - I could not hear any caller.
Disappointing to have a failure so soon - concerns me that this device really isn't up for business use (where dependability is an entry requirement). Since I was barely over my 30 days, it's on it's way back as an RMA to the manufacturer. I think I probably would have simply tried to return it but since I've had it for awhile, my only real choice is the RMA path and getting it repaired. We'll see if it holds up any better in "round 2".

    iFusion

    • Written by from Lowville

I just purchased this unit for my home office. Being on the road alot, a mobile phone is the primary communication system. When all your contact information is on the mobile device, once home, its diiicult switching between a land-line and the mobile with this unit just place it in the docking station and your in business. The setup and pairing was very easy less than 5 minutes. The unit has great external speaker sound. Great product for the iphone, glad I purchased it.... Would recommend this product to anyone......

    Exceeds Expectations

    • Written by from Oro Valley

The good: Using the conventional handset with the iFusion is way more comfortable than holding the iPhone to you ear - especially if you are on the phone a lot. I tried just about every option for hands-free - and gave up, simply because people complained about the sound quality of my voice. No one complains with the iFusion - sure you give up hands-free, but its not a big deal if you are calling from your desk. The build quality on this device is superb - the look, feel, fit, finish is first rate.

The bad: The speakerphone is so-so.

    Delivers as advertised.

    • Written by from Hummelstown

I have been watching the reviews on the iFusion for a couple of months and reading the reviews. With all of the positive feedback I decided to make the purchase.

It's easy to set up and holds my iPhone with an Otter case on it. No problems there. The phone is great and works quite well.

I can now say farewell to my voip line and save some money.

Perfect solution for my home office!

    • Written by from Sunnyvale

The AltiGen iFusion is fantastic! It brings the "landline" feel and comfort to my home office, while still allowing me to be mobile. Plus, I can charge the phone, sync it to my computer, and play background music - while I work. Great investment!

    Great Speakerphone Deskphone

    • Written by

I use the i-Fusion as a desk phone at work and I am amazed at the voice quality at both ends of the phone call. It is much more comfortable using the hand set as compared to the cell phone being held to my ear and the speakerphone voice quality is far superior to the small speaker of a cell phone. The conversations are clear resulting in a comfort level much more helpful in keeping on-task during long phone calls. I would recommend the i-Fusion to friends.

    Fantastic product!
The speaker phone sounds great on either end of the call. My clients can't tell I'm call from my mobile. Very easy to setup -- out of the box and using within 10 minutes.
Well worth the price. I highly recommend this product.

    High Quality Speaker

    • Written by

I work remotely often and I enjoy using this device with the iPhone. It makes sense because I don't want to hold the phone up to my ear all day, so I can sit back and use the speakerphone. After my calls, I move the iFusion into the kitchen and play my itunes through the device and I can jam out to all my favorite tunes. Highly recommend.

    No Regrets

I was hesitant about spending the money on the iFusion, but after the purchase I have no regrets. The product looks great on my desk, and the speaker quality is crystal clear. Charging my iPhone has never been easier. I would recommend this product to anyone!

    iPhone more useful than ever

    • Written by from Milford

Having purchased the iFusion SmartStation for my desk at the office more than a month ago, my iPhone quickly became my only phone for all personal and business calling. I actually turned by business desk phone back in to the telecom guy. Life is easier now that I only have one phone number to remember. And I can talk all day without running down the iPhone's battery. Love my iFusion.

iFusion- What the phone means to me

    • Written by from New lenox

Having the need to talk frequently on my iPhone for businees/personal calls means that I now have a docking station with excellent speaker phone quality. I can charge the phone, stream music and spend countless hours on the phone at my home or on the road. I was really impressed with how easy it was to pair with iPhone/iPad.
