I wrote a review on this product back on february 2012 having it for only two weeks. Now that I have had it for five months now july 2012, i have to say that this doesn't last for something that costs quite a bit of money.
Pros: sleek, has slits for cards (practical), soft leather, frame is sturdy.
Cons: bad build quality, rubber trim came undone within 5 months, stitching on the underside of the slits at the back are coming undone as well, can't put in paper money because it sinks at the bottom of the slits making it SUPER DIFFICULT TO GET
I got one in December in British Tan, which was approx. 5 months ago. Got loads of compliments on it, it's slim and it looks very smart and I used the card holder all the time for my subway fair card, but... I can appreciate that leather goods acquire patina with use, which I was expecting, but the other components of the case just don't hold up after several months, even after gentle use... They used like a rubbery material for the edge of the case, which wore away exposing the plastic underneath. Also the little vinyl divider for the card holder came undone and I had to fish it out of the holder and re-glue it. These things said the actual leather itself has held up nicely, it's just the man-made materials that they could improve on. It wouldn't have stopped me from buying one in the first place over an ugly plastic thing, I'd just like to see Hex eventually release another version that would address these things... since I'd buy another if they did.
