    Looks good, sounds...eh.

I am by no means an audio snob, and I don't need stereo speakers that rock the house because I mostly use them when sitting at my computer. So I figured the XtremeMac Tango Bar would be plenty good.

But let me first talk about the look. It's fantastic. The Tango Bar matches my iMac perfectly. It sits right below the screen, reducing clutter and unnecessary wires. That's the good news.

Now on to the sound. It lacks bass. The midtones are fine, but I;m used to the full sound of Harmon Sound Sticks. The Tango has an output for a subwoofer, but I haven't found one that makes this an economical option. Besides, if you're adding a subwoofer it kind of defeats the purpose of the clean, all-in-one look of the Tango. You're better off getting Sound Sticks.

If you just need a nice looking speaker that improves the sound on your computer, the Tango is fine. But if you want good sound, skip this and get the Sound Sticks. Dealing with the wires and subwoofer is worth it.

Looked forward to receiving the sound bar but when I received it the sound was poor. Not much base and the sound was distorted. Now I need to spend money on a sub woofer but having trouble finding one that plugs into the sound bar.

    +Great aesthetic design
+Easy setup with simple USB connection
    +Intuitively located controls
    +Built-in sub-woofer port

-Tinny & harsh sounding speakers (no bass or depth)
-Not an improvement over the built-in iMac speakers
-No companion sub-woofer available with this product

Based on the clean look and simple USB design, we wanted these to work for us!! However in the end the JBL Duet 2.0 and Bose Companion 2 which are similarly priced provide a much richer sound!
