    ibaby crashes with IOS6

This app was working good. Since I upgraded my iphone and the ipad to IOS6 now it barely stays open for 20 to 30 seconds than just crashes or it freezes. Tried deleting and re-installing and same thing.
This needs to be fix asap since the ibaby is a very expensive product and now just useless.

Like you're reading a lot...stopped working reliably with ios6. Until this is fixed, it is worthless as a video baby monitor. Once (if?) the kinks are worked out, it will be back to being a useful app worth perhaps 3 or 4 stars.

    Doesn't work after iOS update

Baby monitor now freezes after about 20 seconds, if that, so must close the app and reopen. Half the time is won't open until trying twice. This won't work for my 6 month old!!! A baby monitor needs to be working for more than just 20 second at at a time, or what is the purpose? Please fix this to align with the recent update...fast!!!

    Not working after iOS 6

I've had the iBaby for about 6 months and it has worked great. Since the iOS upgrade the app freezes the screen after just a few minutes of having the app running. It also frequently crashes. Hopefully this will be fixed with an update soon.

Since the IOS 6 upgrade, the app crashes after about 30 seconds.....not good when you are using it to monitor your baby at night!! Hopefully they can fix it quickly....the product is a 5 star product other than this shortcoming.

    perfect for watching my pups

IDK about how it does for babies, but I bought this to monitor my dogs while I am gone and it is perfect. Sets up in about 5 mins and you can start using it right away. Has a real time video when you are are your network, but a bit of a delay when you connect to wifi and try to view from another network. (but only a 1.3 sec delay) so can't complain. I only have one camera set up at the moment but does the job I need it to do. It lets me view my dogs in their area while I am gone. Sound works great. You can hear good from your IPhone. Perfect for monitoring a room while you are gone. Only down fall is you have to be on wifi to view. But its everywhere now so not too big of a draw back.

Really wanted it to be good, but I could never get it to be viewed on the Internet.
Worked ok as long as I was within range of my Wi-Fi.
In all fairness, it may have been that I could not get my AT&T router set up properly, but that is why I have Mac stuff, so that I don't have to be doing the things that PC folks have to do........, tinker with the darn thing.
I doubt that Mr Jobs would have approved this thing.

I've always wanted a monitor that I could take view from anywhere. iBaby gave me that opportunity. I really love that it doesn't need to connect to any router/modem. If done correctly you can use it wirelessly. You can also use multiple monitors at once, on one device.

Plus for iphone users who always have their phone on them.. they'll always have their baby with them as well.

    trouble finding camera

    • Written by from Stouffville

I was looking at this camera for quite a while because the product description seemed perfect. At the store, they had three on hand, but they all seemed like they were opened and returned. I really don't like buying returned items and despite the negative reviews of this camera I decided to give it a chance.
I bought this camera thinking that since both my husband and I are techy, we wouldn't have a problem installing it. Well we did. We followed the 15 pages exactly and after 1 hour of our system trying to find the camera we gave up and returned it to the store.
Bottom line... don't waste your time with this product. There are other products out there that can be hooked up via IP address and they have their own monitor, so you can choose to use the iphone, Ipad or monitor.

Excellent product and is so SOOO easy to set up!! Had this set up in about 5 minutes on PC, my iPad and wifes iPhone. You need to set it up on the PC first with an ethernet cable running from the monitor to the modem / router and then once this is done you need to download the app for iPad / iPhone app and do it wirelessly - if you try to do it wirelessly from the start it will not work.

I hated last update...but this one,v1.8.1 is great!
Seems all the new bugs are fixed. Pls let me help you to test before next update if you can not ensure every changes in the right way. I was yelled by my wife in last month for the buffering issue!

I would have returned it if I did not finally find the troubleshooting "more" files which is very hard to see under support guideline.

Anyway it is really very useful to know how to set up the WiFi and port forwarding with many different kinds of routers!

I would like to rate with 5 stars if your guys can simplify those settings!

    I'm loving it!

My husband and I bought this with our eyes open, considering the negative reviews about connectivity issues, app problems, etc. We thought we'd keep it for a few days, test it out on the cats in advance of the baby, and make a decision about whether to keep it. Well, it won't take a few days to return this to the Apple store - we're returning it after one day. To be fair, the camera itself is really good, but the app is terrible - the "easy" set up, even on our home wifi network, took 10 minutes because the app couldn't find the camera, despite us following all the directions. And figuring out how to view on 3G? Forget it. Even after adjusting our router settings, it still didn't work. After researching a lot of the app-based monitors, I found they all have the same issues identified by users: good camera, wonky app, horrible/non-existent instructions for viewing on 3G network, and hit-or-miss alert systems.

I liken this product, and all other app-based monitor systems, as the first model year of a car - don't buy it until they have all the bugs figured out. Wait for the second generation! I guess we'll have to use the "old fashioned" monitors until then (even though some of them look pretty cool - looking forward to trying them out).

I set mine up and it worked fine for the last few months but now it keeps saying "Buffering". I see video for about 10 seconds then the buffering screen for 20 seconds. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if it never worked...but it was working amazing until this last update.
