This thing is amazing, not only does it work right out of the box, but it does everything it says it does! I keep it in our room since our baby sleeps in there and the IR is amazing. It will let me know when I'm either away from home how my baby is doing when she is asleep, but also lets me know when my wife is cheating on me! I want to thank Apple for having this product here for me and other users to have. Thanks!

So it took less than 15 mins to hook up 2 i phones and an ipad to 2 seperate moniters. The unit is to be hard wired unless you have wireless. If you have wireless you have a router somewhere and during initial set up you have to plug an ethernet cable from the router to the back of the camera once it finds the carmera with the direct conection then you have to set up your wifi on the device and it tell you to unplug the direct connection and that will link it to your wifi. Once this is done then you can move the camera/camersa where ever you would like them. Then next problem that you might run into is that some routers defalt settings done allow for UPNP which is what will allow you to access your divice from other places. You will have to go into your router and either allow for UPNP or set up port forwarding. I am not a computer guy but found this in the faq tab in the app. It took me about 30 mins to figure out how to turn the UPNP setting on in my router and then had to uninstall the apps from my devices and reset the cameras and reconnect for them to work. All in all i have about an hour invested and it was worth every second. Its not that the product is hard to set up its that there is no easy way to give instructions for every different router that is on the market. If you use the faq tab in the app it tells you pretty much all the different ways to fix any problems.

I purchased this monitor a few days ago and was able to set it up to view on our WiFi network in a matter of minutes. On the other hand, it took some research to get the camera to work over 3G when I was away from home. Prior to that, I would have given the product 4 stars based on ease of use and the fact that I can control the monitor from the app. Now that I can view the monitor from outside my home and my family members can also, it definitely gets 5 stars.

Great product and a once again happy customer. Now I know why I continue to shop at Apple!!!

This monitor is the best one we have had. You do not need to run a Ethernet cord for the monitor to work, which I had originally thought. After you set the monitor up with the Internet connection in your home, you unplug the cord and can place the monitor anywhere in your home. My husband travels a lot and with this monitor he can stay more connected with his daughter.

I've always wanted a monitor that I could take view from anywhere. iBaby gave me that opportunity. I really love that it doesn't need to connect to any router/modem. If done correctly you can use it wirelessly. You can also use multiple monitors at once, on one device.

Plus for iphone users who always have their phone on them.. they'll always have their baby with them as well.

Tested against other popular WiFi model monitors. UNBIASED REVIEW:
SET UP: Very easy! Only 4 incredibly simple steps! And if you unplug it to move it, no re-setup needed. Starts working right away.
PICTURE: Not the best, not the worst. Frankly, was expecting much better for the price. Night vision was decent. Good enough to see your baby, but you won't be hunting deer with it.
PRICE: No beating around, price is bad. Real bad. $199 seems much considering there are ones half that price with the same features.
RELIABILITY: This is where it shines! Amongst the other popular WiFi models, it's the only one that worked 100% of the times! WiFi... LTE... Worked every time!
FUNCTIONALITY: Pan/tilt/live feed function has about 1-2 second delay average, but is actually the quickest of them all. Motion/noise sensor was decent.
VERDICT: Received 5 stars due to one lone reason... Reliability. We tend to get wrapped up in features available to us on new technologies. But we mustn't forget the sole purpose of a baby monitor... To monitor our baby. Therefore, if one doesn't work every time, it doesn't matter what it "can" do. Price is high, but worth every penny for a piece of mind!

Bought the iBaby and had it setup in 5 minutes after plugging it into the router. Moved it to the nursery and it worked wirelessly without any issues. I agree the manual is lack luster but if you read the positive reviews with tips for installing here it sets up in a jiffy.

It took me about 1 hour to set up this camera, the customer service was so nice and patient and she told me what to do step by step. Then it turns out this product is worth it. By sliding my ipad screen, I can easily rotate the camera and see my boy as long as he is around the camera. Moreover, I can take snapshots as precious memories whenever I want. I plan to buy another one to expand my view.
