Purchased iPad and this stand for visitors to use to sign in at our receptionist's desk. Had to buy the lightening-to-30 pin adapter so the iPad would connect but it still locks and feels great. Very stable, strong and substantial. Multi angle, portrait or landscape, firmly snaps into place. Charges through the connection then to your computer via USB or to electrical outlet. Very impressive, definite WOW factor, great first impression for new customers, and so cool I bought one for myself to use at home.

I was looking for an iPad stand that was sturdy and portable. I also wanted one that would easily allow me to adjust its height and viewing angle. This stand met my needs. I have the iPad 3rd generation and did not have any issues with the charging mechanism. I highly recommend this product!

Good construction. Unfortunately, connector will not make contact with my iPad 2.

I received this as a Christmas gift. When I tried to set up my iPad "3" to charge, the connection did not persist. I had to hold down the iPad to force the connection. Speaking with my local Apple Store folks, they said there was a "trick" to getting the iPads to house.

I reached out to Mophie, and they immediately offered to swap a new model, since I was under warranty, which was nice of them, but as I am about 5 minutes away from the store where the Power Stand was purchased, I had the model swapped.

The second Power Station won't even connect. At least the first one might have worked if I wrapped the iPad in super-sized rubber bands.

At this point, I can't keep swapping out power stands hoping one might work, so I will be returning this. It's really a shame because it is a great design. But Mophie should have done a much, much better job in Q/A before rating this for the latest iPad.

This seems like a terrific product but it wouldn't charge either of our two iPad 2s. I went to the Apple store to exchange it, and tried the replacement before leaving. It didn't charge either, nor did a third Powerstand. We then tried an Apple-owned iPad 2 which did just fine. I called Mophie tech support from the store and was told that quite a few units had "manufacturing errors."

Bottom line: Some iPads work with the stands, others don't, and there's no correlation. So if you decide to buy one, take all of your iPads to the Apple store and make certain that they work.

I bought two of these for christmas gifts online. Both do not charge. I sure hope somthing this expensive can be returned to the apple store. I have the receipt and the other parties have the item and since I bought it the first week in December there is only a few days left for returns. I am so disgusted.

I received one of these as a gift. It looks great but it would not charge my second generation iPad. I took it back to an Apple Store where we tried another one. It also wouldn't charge my iPad. Obviously the build quality of these is bad.

I was excited to try this new stand at my office for a check-in station. The first one I received had uneven rubber pads on the bottom causing the stand to rock back and forth. Minor, I know, but terribly annoying for a stand that costs $150. Sent that one back and the one they sent me to replace it not only still rocks but has issues charging my iPad. It's going back to Mophie and we'll see what the third one's like.

The product looks great, but it will not charge my iPad 2. It seems like the stand connector isn't long enough to reach the iPad 2. I am awaiting an answer from support.

Very disappointed.
