    Not muddy at full volume

    I have owned this for 6+ months and am still impressed with the product. It usually sits in an unobstructed space and fills my 2000 sq ft with rich sound. For the initial pairing, it's necessary to get within 30 feet or so of the device. After that's done, I can wander around the place with the iTouch in my pocket.

    I played with the speakerphone. Cute, but I don't need that feature. The sound really is robust, and the product is solid. The design is intentionally minimalistic. Looks sharp, but I'd rather the buttons were text labeled.

    You will certainly be impressed with the volume this thing puts out! (As far as dynamic range is concerned, well, don't get me started on digital.) I seldom use the battery, but other reviewers are impressed.

    I let my mother borrow it for a few weeks. She plays classical and jazz, and was impressed. Note, the iPOD Classic does not offer bluetooth, so she needed to use the included 3.5mm cable.

    Expensive but worth it!

    I was a bit turned off by the price but I loved the design and tested the sound quality and was pretty impressed. Took it home and fell in love with it. Only wish it had an iOS app that I can use volume control instead of having to do it manually. Other than that I have no complaints

    Great sound - fickle paring

    The Big JAMBOX has amazing sound at all sound levels. There is no need to play the device at the maximum level as 3/4 volume will fill any good size room. The battery life is incredible; it takes 2 and half hours to charge and will play all day. The only negatives I have to say about the box are the initial pairing and the speaker phone quality. The initial pairing on the iPhone and MacBook took awhile to set up. I almost thought the box was bad before I got a success pairing. Now the pairing occurs quickly. I have to pair my MacBook and iPhone after power shut downs. The speakerphone quality is fantastic on my end by the far end people complain about the voice quality. I'll will still keep trying as it could have been bad phone connections. Is it worth $300? I would put the value at $250 but for the extra $50 I’m still happy.
    Overall, it is a great sounding box! I know you will enjoy it once you get.

    Surprisingly Great Sound from Small Form Factor

    I visited SFO Apple Store during my visit there. I was originally intending to buy B&W Zep Mini or something similar. I tried this new big Jambox and wow I was quite amazed by how capable it was. It was not same level of boom and richness as B&W Zep Mini(which is not on display or on sale any more btw). But its bass was ample(kind that feels like it is coming from deep underneath) but not too much and surprisingly its treble still had clarity maintained. I was mainly sold on later part. Bluetooth did not suffer any kind of signal alteration. Battery life is ultra long... I use about 1-2 hours per day and have not charged since I bought it(it's been about 7 days...). I think if you only use intermittently it will probably last a good two weeks... One gripe is that updating system is done through web browser and it does not work very well but not a big problem.

    Great combination of features and easy to use

    I already own the original Jambox and I'm impressed with it so much I decided I had to get the Big Jambox. The original is nice cause I can fit it into my jacket pocket and always have decent quality sound wherever. The Big Jambox does exactly what the original does but has extras; music shuttle control from the speaker, 50% more battery life, and more volume. The speaker connects via BlueTooth which is way more practical for a portable speaker than AirPlay's WiFi. The Big Jambox is about the size of a 2 liter carton of milk so it needs to be carried in a bag and not a pocket. I like the Jambox products better than the BOSE cause of battery life, like it better than the B&O PLAY cause of price, and like it better than the iHome products for sound quality at higher volumes. It has the right combination of features for me.
