    I can't recommend this enough!! We would never normally pay out this kind of money but had an insurance cheque for Bang & Olufsen and this made up the numbers. I am soooo glad we bought it… the sound quality is amazing… and sooo loud for such a little box. We've used it for many parties and even a wedding reception… bbqs… its just brilliant and I can't recommend it enough. I usually use the jack for my iPhone as it preserves the battery and this works just fine for me. We have on occasion used airplay from my mac and this has been just great too. Beautiful looking speaker, with amazing sound quality!! Highly recommended

    Amazing, Works great, also with airplay

    If your Beolit 12 doesn't work well with your airplay it's because you have a s*****, and/or outdated router, buy a new one ! This device works great. It sounds incredible, it looks amazing and it feels great. I only use it with AirPlay and it plays very smooth. Also the setup was so easy and simple with the beo setup app. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Worth every penny and with the new price drop it's even more amazing ! Recommend it to everyone who cares about sound, quality and design !

    i got one for my friend as gift and then i bought today one for myself...

    its the most stunning portable device i have been exposed to till date.. i travel the world as i am international business development director and i have seen it all..

    i would say step in and experience it once... put 20 load speakers and then put this tiny portable device and it will blow them all over.. i cant stop parsing how happy i am with this device.. the way u praise apple products i praise this..

    dont go by wat i or other say.. just drop into to a store and experience it for urself.. u will instantly buy it.. i am dead sure of that..

    I recently bought the Beolit 12 and I can say that for sure you will fall in love for it.
    It is an excellent device, with excellent sound quality. Even at high levels the sound remains crystal clear and undistorted.

    Simply stunning sound

    • Written by from San Francisco

    Better sound than a Zeppelin Air, to say nothing of competing docks; unlike the pleasant-sounding but ultimately flawed Bose Soundlink devices, you won't find dropouts in any part of the audio spectrum.

    If you know your music well (from hearing it on truly high quality sources), you'll find nothing missing; if you don't, you will discover entirely new aspects of your favorites that you never knew existed.

    Setup was a breeze, with the Beolit acting as an access point for easy configuration, then solidly joining our existing network for airplay usage. It's limited to 2.4 GHz (instead of offering 5GHz wireless N as an option), so microwaves and some wireless phones can cause dropouts, but we've had very good reliability of playback.

    What's perhaps most astounding (given the sound) is the unit's size and portability. There is simply nothing else like it.

    Beolite 12: insane!!

    • Written by from Cape Town

    I still can't believe the sound coming out this tiny (heavy) box!
    If you can afford it buy it

    I have used the Beolite for a party on the beach (placed in the rocks: you have to place it chest-hight and against something for the best sound), next to the pool, in a rental where the radio was missing and I watched movies in a hotel where it made for a cinema like experience. Oh, and I flipped over a glass of wine while I used it as a tray and it made me wonder is it watertight? Cause it still works like new. Battery life is insane, clocked it close to 9 hours. Last: incredible sound even with very low volume

    3.5mm jack is to short and vulnerable;
    so I've used the apple connector but it heavily decreases battery life;
    heavy almost 3kg (but it reminds me of the quality :-)
    bass biased;
    rubber supports to reduce vibration and increase stability wear off quickly;
    wifi set-up too much hassle so I hardly use it;
    airport security mistakes it for a bomb

    Not the easiest setup, but awesome sound and that's what is important. 100 watts cranking on a very portable unit. Pricey, terrible setup, but I'd do it again.

    Good sound. Good function.

    • Written by from MOUNT PLEASANT

    I've owned these for 3 months. The sound is good for small speakers and I would agree with other reviewers that it improves with volume. I use these for outdoor locations(porch, dock, yard), some fairly distant from router and have had no airplay connectivity issues. All of family, armed with iPhone, pad, or airplay remote for iTunes remote, vie for DJ responsibilities. Fun. And eclectic mix of tunes on the porch

    So far - the best compact speakers I ever had

    • Written by from Los Angeles

    Decided to write this small note to express gratitude for this product. Have been owning it for several months now and couldn't be any happier. I'm a music pro and have sets of professional monitors and some consumer ones too in my studio, but for home living room I wanted to have something small, stylish, less cables as possible, a single unit, versatile (no apple dock connector) - the Beolit feels like custom made for me. Price is scary, but it deserves every penny. The only thing I would wish to have is a protective case to carry the beast around while traveling. Thank you for the joy.

    A knockout speaker - So B&O to the core

    • Written by from south orange

    Man does this little thing pack a punch.

    I bought BeoLit 12 from the Apple in 5th Ave. A nice guy named Jeff helped me out. He took me over to it because I asked for big sound and portability to replace my Apple HiFi. He took me over to BeoLit 12 and played "Dracula" by the Gorillaz.

    Wow. :'O

    And that was in the big, open spaced Apple store.

    When I got it home, the setup was a tad cumbersome but I got it.

    Sounds even better at home! I couldn't be any more serious about that last comment. B&O used their Danish magic to pack the most confident and rich bass note in this little box. It's ultra durable and feels like it will last for years of regular use. Bottom line is I'm happy. Very happy with BeoLit 12.

    $800 is a lot but I did ask for the best and I'm totally satisfied.

    The recent software update put all of my original woahs to rest.

    Treat yourself. You deserve it.

    Amazing sound, especially the bass, for such a small box. I have yet to get airplay dropouts. You just have to make sure iOS software is up to date and your within your network.

    Amazing sound!

    I don't know why the first reviewer had to slam this product for AirPlay performance in general (which I think is fixed with the latest iOS update).
    I tried this product at an Apple store and just got it home. I am amazed by the sound of the little box and it just feels so nicely put together. And then it is portable and with battery. A little jewel.

    WOW the BEST!

    • Written by from San Diego

    The best sound from small form factor.
    The connection is not so simple, but easy enough to do it.
    Quick guide was enough to set it up.
    Connection app was simple enough to do it.

    Pricy, but if you want portability, style, SOUND QUALITY, then go for it.
