    Surprisingly Awesome

I'm a heavy spreadsheet user and needed a keyboard for my new Mac Mini. I looked at the wireless Apple Keyboards but couldn't find one with the number pad.

I found the Logitech K750 but was weary of the "solar" charging system. I bought the keyboard and was pleasantly surprised with the feel of the keys and the response of the keyboard. The keyboard works as-soon-as the computers starts; response time is immediate. My concern for the solar charging has diminished.

I love this keyboard and, most of all, the price!

I absolutely loved loved loved this keyboard when I first purchased it…FIRST purchased it. I type for at least 6-7 hours a day (medical transcription) and I loved how the keys felt and the 10-key pad was awesome. However, literally three months after purchase it became very temperamental with battery life and not having enough light and so on and so forth. Five months into using the keyboard, it just stopped working one day….won't take a charge, nothing! Yes, now I am out $60!! I did not return this through Apple, as I purchased it directly through Logitech and I am just too busy to sit on hold with Logitech for who knows how long over $60. Soooooo…..I am still on the hunt for the ever-elusive "perfect" keyboard! My apple wireless keyboard is awesome, but no 10-key..

    Great Keyboard

I bought this keyboard back in July for using my MBP Retina in Clamshell mode. I've had no issues and absolutely love it. The tactile feel of the keys is great and is similar to the built in keyboard. No issues with solar power. I have one small light in my office and a couple of lamps. Always fully charged with a green light when I check. I have nothing negative to say about this keyboard. If apple would have had a wireless keyboard with a number pad then maybe I would have bought it but with this one, I don't need one from Apple. The keys all work great and are designed for Mac. I actually bought this before my new MBP ever came and it worked fine on my PC too. Again, can't go wrong with this keyboard.

    Great product, but some drawbacks.

I bought this because I needed a new keyboard. It's appearance and build are solid, near-apple quality, and the keys are almost identical to an Apple keyboard and it worked great, but I'm just not sure I get the concept of a wireless keyboard. A keyboard just sits on your desk next to your computer... why does a wire matter? Not having a wire creates its own issues... now the keyboard has to be powered somehow, so Logitech has wisely included solar panels on it to charge it. Nice idea, but now I have to turn on a light to use my keyboard if the room is kind of dim. Also, I'm losing the 2 USB ports which are normally on an Apple keyboard (the keyboard being wireless doesn't save a port because it needs a USB dongle to work). In addition, they suggest you install an app to monitor the keyboard charge level, an app which has terrible reviews in the App Store... search for it if you want to see. So, in order to eliminate one wire, the keyboard complexity is increased with the app and solar panels. It just makes no sense to me... just keep the wire! In addition, I was having computer issues so I had to boot from a DVD... holding down "C" while booting didn't work with this keyboard, so I ended up having to set up the DVD as a startup disk, which worked, but is a poor solution. After trying to restore my system from a backup, I was faced with a kernel panic. Suddenly there was no way to designate a startup disk or boot from the DVD, so I had to get my Apple "wired" keyboard and hook it up just so I could boot from the DVD! I'm pretty sure that was another problem caused by the wireless aspect.

The keyboard Apple should have built...

Was hesitant to pick this up because I thought it might be of lower quality than a nice Apple aluminum keyboard. To be sure, it's not aluminum, but that hasn't bothered me or my aesthetic sensibilities one bit. And it feels like a quality keyboard.

    The Pros:
    - First and foremost, it has a 10-key section.. an absolute must
    - Great typing touch/feel
    - No wires
    - Solar... (big plus for me)
    - Lays flat if you want it to and is fairly thin.

    Only thing's I would change:
    - Caps lock indicator
    - aluminum body
    - bluetooth (instead of the USB wireless system)
    - Supporting software (solar app) needs to be updated as it it needlessly "spams the console log". (Don't bother installing it, as it is hard to uninstall and you don't need it.)

If Apple had built it, they would NOT have botched the app... and it would have been aluminum and Bluetooth. Come on, Tim... You like spreadsheets, don't you!?!?

All in all, I love this keyboard as it has met my biggest need/want to have a 10 key on a wireless keyboard... and it's solar! Yes, there's room for improvement but at $60 it's a great value.

    A little over-rated

I'd not buy another one; Keys have nice feedback and action; my kingdom for backlighting.

Works fine enough but it's been about 6 months and now it's being a bit of a princess about battery power and available light. It takes an oddly long time to recharge even in direct sunlight. What are powering up here? Once it hits about 5%, it pretty much punts. A little (I mean occasional) lag but not enough to consider it a liability. Does NOT have a CAPS LOCK indicator or light or anything that give you feedback. Had to spend a buck at the AppStore. It's not the money, it's the fact that such an elementary item was omitted. Frustrating and finicky control panel.

It's good at best. But let's be honest, it's a keyboard.

So happy with this. Much easier to type on than the default keyboards, no need for batteries, and still has all the right function keys for OSX. Not to mention it's sleek, think and goes well with my Mac desktop.

    Spilled Coke, still works

I loved this keyboard from the beginning, but yesterday I really loved it. Spilled Diet coke on the right side, immediately turned it upside down and started rubbing the front with a towel. As you know, this rarely works. When it looked like I had removed all of the surface moisture, I put it down to see how bad the damage was, thinking I would stick it in rice or keep it upside down and hope for the best.

Well, it was fine. Perfect. Whew.

I just opened up the box plugged it in and was ready to go in 2 minutes after the battery charged.

The keys are easy to use and map very closely to the laptop keyboard which I personally love.

    No more batteries!

I've had is for a few weeks now and have found this to be the best Mac keyboard I've ever used. Wireless and with a number pad! Oh ya never dead battery in the middle of a project. Apple should sell this with their iMacs. Stylish, color coordinates with Mac look and design. A must for any Mac user.

I needed a full-size keyboard with a numeric pad and I wanted a wireless product. Apple doesn't have a product to match my need. I applaud them for recommending this keyboard. It's a beautiful product that so far has exceeded my expectations in every regard. I highly recommend it for anyone needing a full-featured keyboard.

The Apple wireless keyboard is good, but I really wanted a wireless keyboard that still complemented the iMac and had an integrated number pad. This has the same look and and feel as the Apple keyboard, but offers the full capability and layout of a standard wired keyboard.

Especially for business users, this is a must. I've had this for a few months and the family (not just me) love it. The other benefit is that I have yet to replace a battery. When are they coming out with a solar mouse??

    Four Stars!

I love this keyboard for its design, its feel, and that it's solar powered!

Only four of five stars as there are no built in USB ports for my Logitech wireless USB mouse and the keyboard requires a USB receiver of its own.

Note to Logitech: Maybe Bluetooth connectivity and built in USB ports for future models?

Note to Apple: Maybe solar collectors in future Apple products to help further reduce their electricity consumption?

I would recommend this keyboard and do not regret my purchase.

While I love the look/design of the Apple wireless keyboard, I missed my number pad. I was excited to find the Logitech wireless full keyboard with the same look as the original. The solar power was an added plus and works perfectly. I have had the keyboard for a couple of months now and the charge has never dropped below 100%. Just the natural sunlight, even through the closed blinds is enough to keep it fully charged. No batteries to have to worry with. I absolutely love it! Couldn't be happier with my decision. Now if they could come up with a solar powered mouse!!

I ordered this keyboard when the LMP Bluetooth Keypad I was using along with my Apple wireless keyboard went out on me. I just received it this morning, & so far, I'm loving it overall. There are a couple of cons to it; namely there is no light or any other indicator to show when the caps lock is on, & I would prefer a Bluetooth keyboard so that I wouldn't have to tie up one of my USB ports. But I feel that these are things I can live with, & that the pros far outweigh the cons. So far, the keyboard seems sturdy & durable, & the keys have a great feel to them when typing. And I like the idea that it's solar powered & that I won't have to worry about buying & replacing batteries. And probably the biggest advantage: it has a 10-key keypad! Personally, I find it much more comfortable to use that keypad that the row of numbers at the top of the keyboard when possible, & it's always baffled me that Apple didn't include one on their wireless keyboard. Especially when the USB version has one! So, to sum it up, though I've only had this keyboard for a matter of hours, so far, I'd highly recommend it (Possibly even more highly than Apple's version!). I think I've finally found a keeper, & heck, if they'd fix the minor issues I have, I'd even be the first in line to buy the new model!

This is the first product I've ever left feedback, but wanted to share my experience with this logitech keyboard. It works great, I love having the full size keyboard AND being wireless. The design is nice and very complimentary to my iMac and Magic Trackpad. I have only had the keyboard a short while, and I'm loving the number pad, "page up" and "page down" buttons as well as the "home" and "end" keys. If you're looking for a full size keyboard and don't want the wired USB option, you have found the product you're looking for.

Design is perfect - solar powered (no batteries) & wireless (no cords)!
Has a numeric keypad, which regular wireless Mac keyboards do not.
Has all the media controls and lights up in dark conditions.

Used the Windows version of this same keyboard on old PC - now that I've switched to a MacBook Pro, my husband uses the PC one and loves it.

    Great wireless keyboard

This keyboard has a lot of great features. From the Apple design/colors to the keyboard feel. I actually like the texture and keystrokes better than the wired apple keyboard.

As for the design, it is made out of plastic with a silver paint that looks just like the apple aluminum. Even though it is plastic it still feels durable and light.

Also all of the Apple shortcut buttons work excellent. Some of the images are out of date but they still access the proper function. While I don't use them much they always work.

Finally it is not Bluetooth. But don't let this hold you back. Especially if you don't use the USB connections much. I was able to go three rooms away in my house and still type (not that this served any purpose).
