Reviews for Mophie Juice Pack Air for iPhone 4S

TERRIBLE DESIGN, way too tight, EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO TAKE OFF THE PHONE once is on (nearly impossible in fact). And I need to take if off occasionally to dock it with peripherals or If I'm away from home and only have a standard iPhone charger to connect it to. Im going back to the apple store tomorrow to demand a refund or an exchange. This is UNACCEPTABLE for a cover that costs $79!!! DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL, save your money for something else.

...and just to be specific, this is regarding the most recent version of the mophie air, not the older version, my freinds have that older version and it doesn't seem to have this problem.

Only thing that I liked about this case - was I got extra battery life. Dislikes - its heavy, the paint chips off and looks horrible, uses a different charge and you have to take the external battery off to use the ipone charger and then end up leaving the external battery at home. And again the paint chipped off within the first week. Not worth the money!!

for the positive reviews, give it a while, this is our 4th mophie juice pack, we purchased 2 for our old i phone 3gs, they lasted about a year, the wire that connects to the phone looses connection and wouldn't charge. so when we upgraded iPhones from the 3g to the i phone 4, I purchased (2) new ones, chi-ching, they have not even lasted one year, Its a hassle to deal with mophie for warranty service,at first they always work great, we are not rough on any of our equipment, these juice packs just have a bad design, so all the reviewers that can't understand the poor reviews, give it time, you will see.

USB port or connection is shabby to say the least. Stop working, within days of my purchase. I do not recommend this product.

This is the 2nd unit I have purchased in 3 months. The USB connector wears out too quickly and then the unit will not accept a charge. Plus it is a stupid location to insert a charger cord. My recommendation is look elsewhere for a different manufacturer.

VERY UNHAPPY:( Every time I have turned on the Juice pack when my battery was low...it does not boost my phone to 100% battery like I thought it would. It usually boosts 5-10% more battery than I already have....and chanrging my phone and Juice pack seperatly is a complete pain. I hate this product. Not to mention it is bulky and I can't get the thing off!!

Bought first case on 12/17 and it wouldn't allow the iPhone 4 (not 4S) to sync without giving the error about not being able to backup the phone due to the phone disconnecting from iTunes. I tried different ports, a powered USB hub, and different juice pack switch positions. I also tried to "backup" the phone vice syncing it, but the results were the same. We're using the latest updates on our i7 iMac (as of 2011-12-22) and the iPhone too. The phone sync's nicely when hooked directly to the iMac (either to a direct port or through the USB hub).

Returned the case to the Apple Store for an exchange on 12/19. The second case displays the exact same error message! I've read some other anecdotal accounts of similar issues.

I sent an email through the Mophie support website, but their reply was a canned response to further the warranty return--not a stellar grasp of the issue. Thankfully, we bought this at the Apple Store and their return policy is great.

This is for my wife's iPhone 4 and she loves the look and feel of the case, but it's going back today...and she'll pick out another case from a different manufacturer.

good for extending battery life but cannot remove from the phone without dameging the product and possible your phone i got the 4s just a week ago and i dont wanna try extreme measures but i cannot remove it i dont want to damage the phone it is hard to remove hard hard hard hard hard hard would have been perfect product if you could remove easily i want a refund

I can't believe that only one review is mentioning this. The case is utterly impossible to remove once on. I've had mophie case before for my 3S. So when I just got the the 4G I immediately got the compatible mophie because I frequently cover events that have me tweeting photos and videos for hours. Well when I am not at an event I don't want the extra weight on my phone. Imagine my surprise when it took me over 20 minutes to get the case off my phone. I had to use a knife to use as a wedge to get it out. Thankfully I didn't damage my phone in the process. The value of extended battery life is not worth this!

Never synced with Itunes sent back to mophie and still returned not functioning with itunes this was a month of back and forth very fustrating. Returned to retailer for money back.
