    Great earphones

    • Written by from Winnipeg

I was skeptical at first but after trying theme out. I think these are excellent ear buds. Te fit my ears and don't fall out. I can listen at a lower volume tan with previous ear phones. They really isolate noise. You also get more sound detail on songs like how far we've come by matchbox twenty. Construction wise they will last and are made of durable materials. Overall these are really worth the money. You pay more but you get a more durable product that sounds great and fits in my ears. :)

    Best headphones

    • Written by from LAKEVIEW

At first the headphone are not the most comfortable but when I switched the rubber earbud the the correct size for my ears they are the best fitting in ear, earphone I have ever used. I have them in all day at work with no comfort problems and yes they will stay in when running and jumping or any other activity. the sound quality is unmatched by any other headphone I have tried and would recommend they to anyone who enjoys any type of music.

    Awesome in-ear headset!

    • Written by

I am an avid Bowers and Wilkins fan. I own two Zeppelin Airs, which are fantastic! I like the P5 headset, but I really needed something less bulky and portaLble with great sound. I bought these two weeks ago and I can honestly say that these are exactly what I was looking for. All of the posts about the sound not being great and having discomfort I think are due to the person not having the right size ear gels on them. I usually wear a medium size ear gel, but these sounded weak and did not fit right. I then tried the large ones, and what a world of difference it made. Try all of the different sizes before casting judgement on the sound and fit of this headset. You will be pleasantly surprised with the difference it makes. The only true downside is the case that comes with them. It is impossible to figure out how they are supposed to go in there correctly. I usually just put them in my pocket anyway so it was nota big deal to me.

    Very good sound, but uncomfortable

    • Written by from Philadelphia

I find the fit very uncomfortable. Also, the 3 button mic is not very easy to use. Though sound is very good, I would not buy again.

    No, no...

    • Written by from Coteau-du-Lac

I own a lot of different types of cans...both in ear and not.

This is the worst I ever came across.

One- hard to play and fiddle with the ear loop for a proper fit.
Two- cables very stiff.. They snag everything on the way
Three- sound is thin.. *might be acceptable for classic & soft jazz
Four- isolation is good ..but too good for my use- i wanted to use them for talking on the phone.. But what i hear is my voice throught.plus..they gave me a headache and earache within a few minutes . Funny hight earcanal pressure that hurt...bad.

So ..the bose in-ear are way,way better for talking & bass induced music.

By the way i own the P5s ...wonderful..like in fantastic !
Only cans better are my Grado GS1000... but thats another story.

    Better than the In-ear Bose

    • Written by from Elizabeth

Bass is not as good in some songs as the Bose In-ear headphones, but that is because it lets you hear every single instrument in the song! Hands down I'll recommend these headphones... I'll tell ya if your looking for headphones in this price range- GET THEM! Hopefully this review would get posted... And ya are happy if you try them out!

Really tired of reviews based on speculation rather than actual opinion from experience. Sound isolation: YES with proper seal in ears (4 diff sizes) sound quality: AWESOME full and accurate low mid and high range.

    Loud and Clear

    • Written by from New York

Hands down the best earphones I have ever tried. Stays in place, the base is solid, the melody line crystal clear and to top it all, I can't hear my co-workers around me. I've tried a few high-end earphones before but this one impresses me the most.

Great sound that actually stays in your ear!

    • Written by from New Middletown

I have tried many different brand of premium earbuds that claimed to have a trick to stay in ones ears. Well most of those other companies lie, but Bowers & Wilkins does not. These buds sound great and stay in your ears, even when walking, moving around , and sweating. The sound is way above average for the price. They sound remarkably open and spacious, witch i have only heard before from very expensive around ear headphones. They do a great job at isolating out a lot of ambient noise but not to much where a fire truck could sneak up on you. The only bad thing is the included carrying case, I can not figure out how to use it. The C5's are great earbuds that stay in your ears, sound great, and block out a lot of outside noise they are a must buy!

Best earphones I had in a long time!

    • Written by from St-Hubert

These earphones are great! I bought a pair to replace my lost Etymotic HF3's and I'm not disappointed at all. I first thought they would have to much bass and not enough treble. They actually have a lot of bass, but still have very clean and good sounding mids and highs! For me, having extremely clear mids and highs while still having very rich bass is great! The build quality is also excellent (they are made out of aluminum). There are great, don't hesitate to buy 'em !

    awesome sound!

    • Written by from Goodyear

I've had my C5's since they came out. Hands down the best in ear head phones I have ever owned and believe me, I've had them all! Bass is super deep and rich. Highs are crisp and clear. Never over powered by the powerful bass response. Highs and lows are cleverly balanced to sound near perfect!

I bought two of it !
I first bought in France, sold with plane & stereo adapter included, and a second one in USA, without accessories.
But in both cases the sound and maintain are incredible.
I love its design and the way it fits to my ears.

    Wonderfully Crafted

    • Written by from FORT WORTH

I love music...absolutely love music. And it's important to be able to listen to music in a considerable audio performance. And my experience with prior headphones were great... klipsch, bose, shure, beats. But to be able to have had other headphones and hearing these....amazing, just amazing. I'm sure others have their opinion...which is better. But I can only speak for myself.

I feel klipsch are the best "in ear" headphones priced reasonable...they sound great and it has comfortable feel. And, my klipsch headphones broke...which was unfortunate. But I took the time to research products out there. And when I checked out reviews for these headphones...most reviewers seemed impress. The only thing I was skeptical over was the price.

And so, I went for it...and I had thoughts of if these C5's didn't impress me. I had no problems at all taking them back and getting the klipsch. But I tell you....it's definitely NOT going back. Just the quality you hear out of them, and how they are crafted. I would say these fit more perfectly than my klipsch. But then again... my opinion. But I definitely recommend them to music lovers such as myself

So far, these are quite good.

    • Written by from Edmonton

I love B&W products, and when I saw the C5's I knew I was going to have to try them, despite loving my current headphones (Etymotic Research HF3's).

    Comfortable fit.
Clear sound with an authoritative punch.
    Classy aesthetics.
    Solid cables.
    In-line remote and mic.

The travel case is awkward at best.
The in-line remote buttons are difficult to find while running and have poor tactile feedback. Also, they hang from the left ear, which works well for lefties, but most people are right handed. I find it difficult to pause the music quickly if someone starts talking to me. There are no physical features of the remote that let you blindly orient yourself with it.
There is a black piece of plastic that wraps around the cord where the headphones connect, that slides off easily, and seems like it shouldn't. Maybe I got a bad pair.
Putting these on with the ear loop takes a bit of practice and takes a bit longer.

Other than that, the headphones sound great and feel really solid. My Etymotics are still going to be my go-to pair of headphones because of the remote and how much easier they are to put on, but I can be finicky. I'm sure you'll love them.

I am a sellperson who actually sells B&W high end speakers and truly I think these headphones are one of the best I heard so far for the size and price. You have to find the right fit for your hear first. If you read comments that says there's not enough bass, it's simply because the person didn't find the right plug size included in the box. You won't be disapointed! R.I.P. Steve. Love.

    Wasted time and cash

    • Written by from Pleasant Grove

No apologies here. This is the most overpriced set of earbuds I have ever
purchased. The sound was good, but it ends there.
•With the adjustable loop the earbud comes away from inside my ear and allows ambient noise in.
•The wires are so stiff, they stick out and snag everything.
•The buttons are not easy to locate and use for phone calls. The only reference is the slight depression in the bar.
•The clamshell carry case is useless. I can find no logical way to use it. By the time you stuff everything in, you risk zipping up a wire.
•How can a company justify selling these for so much money. I was ashamed that I spent the money after I did. Even though the sound was good, for $179.00, they should knock my socks off like the P5 over the ear B&W's do.

Where do I go from here? I guess my $39. V-Moda from Costco will need to last a little longer. I just wish they were 3 button

    Pluses and minuses

    • Written by from Virginia Beach

sound-very clear, bass is in proper proportion to rest of the spectrum
isolation-very good, not quite as good as Etymotics
fit-very good, can become uncomfortable after 2-3 hours of continuous use. But they do not fall out. Ever.

one of the ear gels tore in half when I tried to switch them. Be very careful! I expect that B&W will replace quickly based on other reviewers.

Overall, a positive review, I will use for critical listening until I get used to them. I think more use will reduce the discomfort factor. I really like them. Very transparent for an earbud.
