Definitely well worth the price. Nothing better than following many other 4 and 5 star ratings.

I replaced a pair of Grado SR80i with the C5; for mobility reasons, and I do not regret my decision. There is subtle differences, but the presence is as good.

i own over $1000 worth of ipod and apple headphones, ranging from boss to v moda, shure, bang on olufson and bowers and wilkins, and these are simply the best in ear phones Ive ever heard
the only ones i prefer are mr BW p5's, but those are over ears, so there is no contest.
my v-moda vibe 2 duo were my go to in ears phones before, but now are replaced..
their is just no contest, the range and dynamics i can here in the music is much more superior than even my bang and olufson ear set 3 which cost $249 when i bought them
trust me... you can waste a lot of money trying to find a good set of headphone at the apple store... theres a lot of garbage they charge way tooooo much for ... but these are well worth the money, just treat them like they are 200 dollar phones. don't run with them, if you want to do that, buy a 10 dollar pair of skull candys , they are very well built, but it only take one snag to ruin a cord , and unlike the P5's , you cant replace the cord

    Elegant Sound...

These are by far some of the best sounding in ear headphones. I have a pair of UE Triple-Fi Pro headphones which have an amazing pure sound but unfortunately they do not make a replacement cable with mic and remote for them. So after some research, I found the C5's, tested them out for a few days and can not believe how pure and elegant the sound these headphones produce is. Moreover, they are sophisticated looking and feel solid. I specially love listening to music at a low volume level... You would be surprised at how much one can hear at low volume with these headphones, perfect mix of Low-Mid and High's! These are a must buy!

Just got them yesterday. Design's great. Sound quality just blew my last audio-technica away... Honestly, I did not try the Bose MIE2i, but I am sure that C5 is one of the best you can get. However, I found very little noise in the headphone while listening. I guess it is because it's new. I am now using white noise and other music to break-in. I hope it will start to really sing soon..

I just picked up a pair from my local Appple store yesterday. The quality is amazing and the design is sleek. Sound quality is amazing. The quality of sound is amazing, no matter what type of music you listen to. Definitely an A++ in my book!!! Theses are far mor superior to the Monster Beats in-ear earphones!!! If you can, pick up a pair of these, you won't be disappointed!!!

    Best Earbuds I've Ever Owned!!!

    • Written by from Chadds Ford

These earbuds deliver great bass and dynamics. They aren't just like those other headphones/earbuds (like the Beats by Dr. Dre) that just only pump up the bass to make it "sound better." With the Bowers and Wilkins C5 In-Ear Headphones, you hear much more of your music.

This is my first Bowers and Wilkins product. By using the C5 for just a few hours, they have given me a very strong image of Bowers and Wilkins. Their C5 In-Ear Headphones are very well built and feel very stable in your ears. You really can feel them weighted toward the inside of your ears for a comfortable, secure fit.

Even though i was ranting on about how cranking up the bass doesn't make something sound better, the bass on these is truly amazing. They deliver deeper, better bass than my Noise Canceling Bose Quiet Comfort Headphones.

However, the secure loop does take some getting used to. I have very small ears but they still feel secure, nonetheless.

I like the cord because it's not really thick and rubbery feeling like most. It's soft, flexible and it's pretty hard to tangle them. Whenever i have a wired device such as a headphone cord, my mac charger, etc., i always seem to be able to get them pretty tangled up. These don't tangle easily. The wires inside seem pretty secure and they feel as if they aren't going to twist up inside.

The AUX jack where it connects to the device seems very sturdy as well. A lot of the headphones i buy end up having the AUX jack tearing around the rubber part, exposing wires. This cord feels robust and strong.

I also always tend to scold my little sister for having her music up so loud that i can hear her from the front of the car when she is sitting in the back. I don't want to be a hippocrate by making it possible for her to hear my music when i have my earbuds in. I turned these up loud and you can hear them quite clearly when they are not in your ears. The minute i put them in, i asked my mom if she could hear my music. She said she couldn't.

These are extremely noise canceling. So much so that it's hard to hear others talking to you. It's almost like they're mouthing it instead of actually speaking!

And sorry for this long review!

    Superb

As soon as I removed these from the (rather complicated) packaging, I was highly impressed. Bass is clear and smooth, something you do not see with under $100 earphones. What is mostly incredible is the C5's ability to give you the clear bass without any distortion of other instruments, something very rare in under $200 dollar earphones. Bowers & Wilkins will not disappoint in audio quality.

I own the Beats by Dr. Dre Pro's over ear headphones, and to be honest, it is almost as if you took the same audio quality from the large over ear headphones and put them in these little earphones. The only difference being that the Beats are much louder and are better at keeping noise out, but that is obviously an advantage of them being over ear. The Secure Loop technology is fantastic. I have heard reviews on other websites of people complaining they are uncomfortable, and I can tell that that is absolutely not the case for me. Maybe they are making the loop too big for their ear? Anyways, these are great for someone who runs, or just bops their head up and down. Thanks to the Secure Loop, they will not fall out.

My only real complaint is the pouch they come with. I can't for the life of me figure out how to put them in the pouch properly. I realize I am meant to put the actual buds in the holes of the pouch, but when you wrap wire around, it bends the secure loop, making it difficult to return it to a normal state. Hopefully I can try and figure something out. I also think they are probably overpriced, but that is with every quality audio product on the market. So I can't really complain about that when the same can be said about nearly every other product available.

    Highly recommended.

    Pretty dang good earbuds....

First, they're only earbuds so start your expectations there. However, I hear parts of the music that never got through other earbuds. And, they're about as clear and dynamic as any headphone I've ever had. Really superior sound and resolution. I don't typically write reviews of products, but these are really pretty terrific....

Tried them all -- these are the best out there!

I used Bang and Olufsen's Earset 3 for years based on the comfort and style, but recently lost mine and needed a replacement. It's hard to find buds (not in-ear tubes) with the wrap around arms like what I was used to so I decided to go to the Apple Store and try in-ears despite comfort issues in the past. First, Power Beats and they were incredibly uncomfortable. Returned them for the Bose in-ears and they sounded incredibly tinny. Brought those back and pretty much gave up until I saw these on my way out. I noticed them prior but I thought they might have been too expensive. In reality, they were just a couple of bucks more than the Power Beats and less than my old Bang and Olufsen's.

And now I know what I've been missing. These are the most comfortable of any in ear I've tried and they stay secure. You dont have to jam them in to get a" seal" and they are practically weightless. The best part is the sound. Crisp, clean and I'm hearing things on my favorite songs that were never there before. And the fact that they are every bit as stylish as my Bang's is just the icing. Highly recommend that anyone try these out!

    A headphone that unmasks quality.

Have had them for 3 days now; they are open, airy, pretty neutral and really reveal quality recordings so if you try them in the Apple store or elsewhere use artists who care about the quality of their recordings..Chris Isaak, John Mayer or Mark Knopfler..also try Beethoven's 5th. The cable keeps them snug in your ear and they won't move if you jog or jump around. Found them to be more detailed and precise than the Sennheisers I had, but they cost $70 more but are worth it.

    FIT IS CRITICAL

Sonically these little cans will leave you breathless---IF you have them in correctly. They don't have to be deeply inserted but they do require a seal or the sound will be tinny. Once you find the sweet spot, you will not believe your ears. I'm a bit of a headphone nut and try to listen to everything plus I read up on every conceivable site. These are just fantastic in ear buds. Do they rival Grado's top of the line? Of course not. But they just blow away anything and beyond in this price range. I had a little trouble at first and got three different emails from London helping me. Now THAT is service. DO. NOT. HESITATE. Buy, buy buy.

Life-Changing Sound for an In-Ear Product

    • Written by from COPLEY

This pair of in-ear headphones replaced two products for me. They replaced my regular work-out phones due to their design (they just don't fall out of my ears), and they replaced my Bose IE's - they actually sound better than the Bose ones I had!

Here's a product that blows away the sound of the Bose ones I owned with the added benefit of staying in my ears for running, biking, and working out at the gym. Not only do they stay in, but they stay in comfortably! I can't imagine a better combination of features!

I just gave my Bose IE's to my 14 year old. He's happy, and I'm beyond thrilled!!!

    These IEM's ROCK!

I wouldn't call them "In-Ear Headphones", the C5 is more like a high end "In-Ear Monitor". The bass is clear, the mid's warm and the highs are crisp. The build quality is superb and scream luxury like B&W is know for. The C5 is comfortable to wear and they actually fit my small asian ear canals. The main thin is you find the proper fitting ear piece, it make a world of difference.
