They are the best ear buds I have ever heard

The default ear piece size when inserted kept falling out and I was disappointed thinking that with the design of the headset wrapping around the ears would keep them in , but given the fact that my ear canals are just a size smaller than the Holland tunnel, I put in the larger fitting and not only we're they comfortable and stayed in I then could turn up the volume and all that tinny sound that I first heard with the smaller fitting was gone and the sound now was incredible. as if I was sitting in the center of an acoustically perfect venue. Bottom line is you may have to modify the fittings and then turn it up a little for the bass, treble, highs and lows to come through, and when they do you'll hear what I've been talking about. OUTSTANDING !

Amazing and comfortable !!!!!

I'll start by saying that I have owned Dre Beats Tour in-ear and the Bose IE2 in-ear and they come nowhere near the B&W C5 in-ear headphones in any way... They boast incredible audio separation, clear highs, amazing midrange and solid bass. I am most impressed by the midrange reproduction - a feat the Bose and Dre Beats failed at miserably. The bass of the C5 is solid and clear with awesome range - the bass is not "boomy" or muffled either like Dre Beats - best bass hands down! Highs are clean and clear but not ear piercing. When it all comes together - no matter what you're listening to - the sound is incredible and fulfilling. I seriously smiled from ear to ear with a big cheesy grin as soon as I began listening to music with these... I knew my search for the perfect headphones was finally over!

I've tried both and both products have its pros and cons.

Bass - B&W C5 will by far blow the Bose MEI out of the water. The bass is strong but not to the point where you feel like your ear drums are about to blow up. It's perfect enough to enjoy the music. As for the Bose, it has almost very little to no bass at all.

Sound - Depending on the type music you're listening to. The sound on B&W C5 is not as sharp or clear but rather soft compared to the Bose MEI. When comparing the two, I feel that the sound of music is closer to my ears when listening to the Bose.

Confort - Right of the box, the Bose MEI will sit perfectly in your ears. B&W C5 can be a little uncomfortable and will take sometime to get use to. BE VERY CAREFUL when you're switching out the ear pieces on the B&W. They rip very easily.

Result - I ended up sticking with the B&W because of the amazing bass. Very rare that I'd hear an inear headphones that would produce that kind of bass. I go to the gym quite often and listen to a lot of dance music so it's a breath of fresh air when using the B&W. Even though, I mentioned that the B&W's sound quality is not as sharp or clear as the Bose, it's still very impressive.

The sound quality really surprised me, it has great lows.
But after about 5 days they were just really hurting my ears.

These are spectacular headphones. The sound stage, separation and detail are phenomenal. I have had Klipsch, Bose, Schure, Audio-Technica, Bang-Olfsun, Etymotic, etc and these are in line with the best. The Etymotic ER-4 were my previous favorite for sound stage, but they had serious issues with noise from the cord. These don't have that and the detail is incredible. I had to play around with the ear pieces to see which one worked best. The largest ones fit my ears best and produced the best bass. In-ear phones are all about fit, so if they don't work for you, that's a deciding factor, but if they fit good you will be astounded. I only gave a 4 out of 5 because they do get a bit uncomfortable after using for a while.

At first the headphone are not the most comfortable but when I switched the rubber earbud the the correct size for my ears they are the best fitting in ear, earphone I have ever used. I have them in all day at work with no comfort problems and yes they will stay in when running and jumping or any other activity. the sound quality is unmatched by any other headphone I have tried and would recommend they to anyone who enjoys any type of music.

I find the fit very uncomfortable. Also, the 3 button mic is not very easy to use. Though sound is very good, I would not buy again.

Bass is not as good in some songs as the Bose In-ear headphones, but that is because it lets you hear every single instrument in the song! Hands down I'll recommend these headphones... I'll tell ya if your looking for headphones in this price range- GET THEM! Hopefully this review would get posted... And ya are happy if you try them out!
