No better than a cheaper bag

    • Written by

I've always been a fan of Thule. They make great racks but as far as bags go they are just mediocre. There is really nothing special about this bag that you cant find at MEC for less. The bag is heavy and really doesn't hold much more than a laptop and accessories. The hard shell case up top takes up valuable space and makes opening and closing the bag clumsy, especially if you try to fit in more than a laptop and cable. I also use the outside pocket for keys and wallet but cant anymore because the zipper broke. I've owned this bag for a solid 11 months. It's just an OK bag. I'd give it 2.5 stars.

    Gets the job done

I bought this backpack in 2011 to carry and store my MacBook Pro 13" and my school books, etc. The hardshell case is a great place to store my Oakleys while I am in class. The sleeve for the MacBook is snug and holds just fine. There are plenty of pockets and useful storage compartments. The only complaint that I have is regarding the chest strap. Loaded down with books, etc. I liked to use the chest strap to help distribute the weight. The stitching that holds the chest straps onto the pack ripped out. I contacted Thule (actually made by Case-Logic) and they sent me a new pack. The same thing happened a second time. I gave up and ripped them the rest of the way out. The pack has worked just fine, with no issues, since.

    Not worth the MONEY!

    • Written by from Lewisville

At 1st this was the greatest backpack I ever owned, but then the 1st one broke 2 weeks after owning it and out of the graciousness of the company they replaced it. NOW my 2nd one suffered the same fate...POOR QUALITY! The strap that goes across your chest fray's and separates from the bag...What a waste of money!

    Built To Last In Style...

    • Written by from Van Nuys

This backpack is extremely impressive, from the moment I received it to when I picked it up after a full pack. Still pretty light and built tough! Classy, Rugged and Efficient, Thanks Thule!! I even put a few strips of specialized sound foam at the bottom of the spacious bag to even further enhance the bags protection to sensitive materials like my MacBook Pro.

A great backpack that I would recommend to anyone!

This is a fantastic backpack.. I am a high school student and use Thule's backpack to carry my 13" MacBook Air along with a boatload of books. The 32L version has more than enough space—I've fit all my schoolbooks along with a change of clothes for tennis in it. I like the compartment for the laptop charger and the hard-shell protective compartment for a cell phone, glasses, etc. Overall, this is a great backpack that I would recommend to anyone!

This is an awesome backpack, I was looking for something cute and that would easily, and securely, carry all my items and with this bag I found all that & more.
I use this bag on a daily basis to carry my 13" MacBook Pro, my iPad, iPod, books and the accessories for all, with plenty of space still remaining. It has so many perfect sized pockets for anything you might feel you want or need to bring along with you, my external hard drive fits perfectly in one pocket along with everything else I already have placed in there and so does my blogger cam, AND there is still plenty of room! This backpack is like Mary Poppins purse. lol
I was a little wary when I purchased this product, thinking that I was going to be disappointed, but I've had it at least 2 months and I am far from disappointed.
I like it so much I am back here looking for the messenger bag version of this for when I want another carrying style option :)
    Definitely worth every cent.

    Excellent Backpack

    • Written by from BOCA RATON

I bought this backpack about a month ago and it has fit perfectly in to my life. There are four key compartments that I utilize:
-The laptop section is great for my 15" MBP and also throwing my cables in
-The mid-section is great for putting books and has good side slots for snacks and stuff
-The front compartment is good for my pens/pencil and calculator
-The top hardened compartment is great for putting my sunglasses (the zipper on this is pretty stiff given the material so it's not easy to access this slot when bag is still on a shoulder)

The cross buckle in the front of the bag allows you to slide it up and down (I don't use this and find it kind of annoying that it can't be removed with ease).

Overall the zippers and material of the bag feels great and the shoulder straps work well.

    I'm Astonished!

I bought this amazing bag from the Apple online store. While shopping I had a difficult choice of picking the other smaller Thule bag since I needed it for school purposes. The bag holds a nice laptop sleeve but I recommend that you get a nice Thule case if you have a macbook air just like me, since it will fit snug. When I got the bag I considered it quite small, compared to the pictures, but to be honest you can pack an enormous amount of essentials into it. The quality is really good, when you're opening and closing the zippers the sound you hear shows you that its made from proper materials not like other Brands. The padding on this bag is also great, its comfortable to wear if you are going shopping or what not leaving you without sweat on your shoulders. If you are still wondering how big the bag is -- it can fit my Beats Pro's, 3 thick math books, my lunch bag, macbook air, and 3 normal notebooks without any problems with lots of room to spare. Although the product is expensive its a must buy for those who wish to have a durable bag for the next couple of years, and remember the fact that there's a 25 year warranty! The design of the bag is fabulous as well, including the fact that its a unique kind of bag. I would recommend this to anyone in need of a bag!

    Excellent customer service

    • Written by from Santa Monica

I purchased this back back pack in november 2011. I use it all the time. It is a nicely designed bag, roomy and comfortable. I could fit clothes for a whole week. More importantly, the Thule customer service was amazing. The front zipper of the back pack got eaten by my dog and was damaged. I called and wrote to Thule customer service asking them to send a replacement zipper so that I could get the back pack repaired. They proceeded to send a new bag under warranty. Obviously, such an event is not covered by warranty and I was not looking to get a new bag! Customer service beyond expectations!

    Amazing Backpack

    • Written by from richmond

This bag looks great and has plenty of room for everything. My 13 inch MacBook fits well in the sleeve and is well protected. The only problem is that the hard case does not stick out like in the photo it sags into the backpack.

    Thule 32L Crossover Backpack

    • Written by from SWANSEA

I've been wondering why the case of my mac is cracked. I noticed yesterday when I put my Thule backpack down on a hard floor that there is no padding! Clunk.

To be completely fair, there's about 2mm of flimsy padding on the bottom of the laptop sleeve, which isn't enough, and if you put your laptop/ipad outside the sleeve, there is absolutely no padding on the bottom (or sides) of the backpack to protect it.

I'd already taken to keeping my mac in a plastic bag, since the Thule is not waterproof (the zips leak even though the material is said to be waterproof); I've now inserted a piece of 1cm foam to cover the bottom to provide the missing padding.

    Great Bag

    • Written by from Demarest

I was looking for a high quality backpack that could hold my iPad and 15" MBP in their own compartments.

The bag has performed very well. I wish there were more small compartments to store things like pens, etc. However there are enough pockets to fit everything. I especially like the pocket on the bottom of the bag to fit my power brick.

Be warned, however, the SafeZone pocket on this bag is NOT removable. That is an error.

It is a bit big for a 15" computer and so when you grab the bag with one strap, it tends to bend a bit, but that's the price you pay for a big bag I guess.

    Great 17" MacBook Pro Pack

    • Written by

This is a great backpack. It seems that they thought of everything. I use it to carry my 17" MacBook Pro to and from work on my motorcycle. They straps are comfortable and there is enough room for all my accessories. There is a nice protected hard shell storage area on the top that's large enough to put my phone, wallet, keys, and anything small I don't want crushed.
