Excellent stand - Beautiful and Functional

This product works as designed in all three modes. I frequently use the landscape mode to prop the iPad next to my mac to review online documentation as I am working. If you are very heavy handed and actually push the iPad along the desk as you are using it, then you may cause the rear leg to buckle and collapse in either Landscape or portrait mode.

Several reviewers have commented on this, but it takes quite a heavy touch on the screen to move the stand. Note that this is not true for the Home button! The Home button must be used in a pinching style; pressing with the thumb and supporting from the rear with the index finger. Natural really.

Bottom line; I love my stand. It is a tool and like any tool needs to be used properly. I would rate this 5 stars (despite the price) if the rear leg locked and the pads the iPad sits on were hooked to prevent the iPad from slipping off. Both of these improvements would make this more "idiot" proof - and there are times when all of us could use this protection.

Very sturdy stand that holds iPad both vertical and landscape. Also lays down in a slight angle for typing or low profile viewing. It folds up and come with a case and easily fits into a desk drawer when not in use. Its on $40 and well worth it.

Nice looking, works like it's supposed to, but pricey!

This accessory is one of my favorite, and it goes with me everywhere, it works exactly as it's supposed to, it's sturdily built, and looks great!

One caveat: if you're traveling by air as much as I do for work, then you can expect to be doing a lot of explaining to the security, as it ALWAYS gets flagged in the screening, but I've never encountered a problem beyond that, like them wanting to take it away.

The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is that I think it's more than a little overpriced.

My Favorite Travel Stand But Not TSA Friendly

I liked the TwelveSouth Compass even better than the Belkin FlipBlade Adjust (which is "bouncy" at typing angles) and it works perfectly for me while in hotel rooms and at work on a desk. BUT - I've been hassled by airport security two out of the last three flights I've been on because the Compass looks a little suspicious to them when it's folded up in my bag during x-ray screening. If you travel by air frequently, keep this in mind. I'd love to keep using it, but may have to find an alternative because of this issue. Otherwise, it's a fantastic stand.
