    iGrill

Unless you want to spend hours fighting this device and your iPad or iPhone attempting via Bluetooth to pair the devices, don't buy the iGrill. Pairing, even using the troubleshooting instructions on the iGrill website, is hit or miss. The device often becomes unpaired on its own, if you are fortunate enough to achieve a paring, and then the whole nightmarish process of hoping for an easy re-pairing starts all over, often when you are ready to put meat on the grill and when you have guests for dinner. Needless to say, this device can create extreme frustration.

I've probably never seen such a poor quality. The first unit I bought disintegrated as I removed the packaging. I returned it and got a replacement unit. Exactly the same happened with the new one and I'll return that tomorrow on a "money back guarantee"

I recommend you to NOT buy this thing.

The probes lasted for two meals.

The probes are so fragile and poorly designed that the manufacturer only offers a 30 day warranty that excludes just about everything that would normally occur while cooking on a grill and starts before you receive the product. The Customer Service is an automated email that firmly reminds you of all of the limitations included in the warranty. It's a great idea and would be a great product if it didn't add $20 to the cost of a steak.

    Gave up on it

Well after 2 years and the 7th times I used this, it has never worked right. Bluetooth first connected and now it doesn't. So i've been using it as a regular thermometer (which makes me angry every time I use it) and now the readings are way off and I over cooked my Thanksgiving bird.

If you can't depend on something especially on important events - holiday cooking... into the trash heap. It went out with the empty bottles of wine. I should have put it under my car tire.

Oh yea, it's not user error.... I'm in IT.

Good idea but poorly executed. Very cheaply made. Difficult to re-sync. Stand is wobbly could see this thing easily falling off the grill's side stand. The app stinks too. The previous version was much better. Who really facebooks what they are grilling?

I have the same issues as many of the other reviewers. The unit rarely works. Piece of junk. Obviously the manufacturer did very little product testing.

I bought the igrill for Canadian thanksgiving and tried for hours to get the igrill to pair to my iPhone or iPad. Nothing but frustration! The support was not helpful. Avoid this product unless you are an apple genius.

    Only works sporadically

I have the same problem as another reviewer. This is a great product when it works, but it doesn't work very often. The connection drops a lot! Then you have to reboot, and sometimes then it still won't reconnect. When you can't connect then you have to go outside and look at the reading, which I can do with a $20 probe thermometer. This was a big waste of $100.

The unit won't keep the Bluetooth connection. When it disconnects the only way to reestablish a connection is the remove the batteries and reboot. Apple should quit selling it.
