When I smoke 400lbs of pork at a time, I need to start early, 3:00AM early. I can now start a fire and relax with some coffee before loading the smoker. The alarms go off, and I go to work. The iGrill is amazing!!!

I mostly love this product....It has a great interface and allows me to do prep work while not hovering over the bbq HOWEVER as some other reviewers have mentioned I have trouble maintaining bluetooth connections and am having to take the batteries out far too often.
This needs to be ironed out before I can fully endorse this product.

Works great once you figure out how to set alarms, Bluetooth only connects to my phone every once in a while not a big deal for me. It makes me a more awesome griller because everything is perfect when it comes off of the grill.

iGrill is a must have for your iPad and BBQ

I've had my iGrill since Fathers Day 2011. I always get perfect temperature on Steaks, Chicken, Pork Loins, and Turkey, We took the iGrill on a family reunion in So Cal and it saved the day. There was no light at the Grill and we were cooking in the dark, iGrill let us know when the steaks hit Med Rare and dinner was saved. My son was so impressed he groveled for one for Christmas, If you have a BBQ and an iPad you need the iGrill, Never grill out without it...

    Awesome, overall!

Yes. It's true this iGrill occasionally loses it's bluetooth and needs to see its dentist (that would be you). It struggles to connect when first turned on as well. One trick is to not have any other bluetooth devices active or even paired during use, but iGrill REALLY needs a software update-- which may smooth these issues.

Yet, when its working this is a really awesome device. I've written their support and a future version may even include remote access, i.e. you'll be able to leave the house and iPad will communicate with iPhone for temperatures on the go!

In the meantime, this is not a big investment such a powerful device. And with an upgradable app, it can only get better.

iGrill has made grilling easier by taking much of the guess work out of monitoring the food for the proper temperature. Controls are simple, it's easy to set the temp for the type of food, and the maximum distance between the unit and phone is quite reasonable. My only complaint is that the batteries tend to die if you leave them in the unit while powered off. I now take them out after use and re-install them when it's time to grill.

If you own a iPad or iPhone you definitely want to pick one of these up. The blue tooth works flawlessly and has great distance. Now I don't have to run outside to check temperatures especially on those long cooks.

Got iGrill as a Father's Day present from my children, and what a wonderful gift. We love to smoke foods on the grill, and this is an absolute must have. The dual probes allow you to monitor both grill and food temp, and the ability to monitor both from inside the house....priceless!

Only flaw... something have a hard time get both thermometers to read, but a restart usually fixes the problem.

    I would buy another one.

Our kids gave my husband an igrill for Father's
Day last year. We love it! We use it for everything on the grill.......
pork tenderloin, beef tenderloin, steaks, etc. I'm not sure we could
grill without it. Meat comes out perfect every time.

Got this for my father for fathers day last year. He has used it every opportunity he has had. Have not experienced any of the bluetooth problems that others have mentioned. Also, my father loves it because it makes his grilling experience much more relaxing then checking the food all of the time to see if its done. The food also tends to turn out cooked much closer to the desired temperature than before.

Love the iGrill, but a minor problem

I have had the iGrill for many months, and find that it is accurate and a great convenience -- being able to check the cooking temperature without going out to the barbecue. I don't use it all that often, and found that when I wanted to start it up again, it wouldn't work -- dead batteries. Apparently something in the device was draining the batteries. Subsequently, I remove the batteries after each use, storing them with the iGrill, and it starts fine after they are inserted. I had an early model -- perhaps this problem has been fixed.

Why spend money on all those other thermometer If you own an iPad ir iPhone? I never have to open the grill to check my progress. Use one probe to measure internal temperature and the other for cooking temperature to know when you need to add more charcoal. This is a must for anyone who BBQs
