Lot's of problem with this device - poor design and really poor quality. USB jack will break after a month or so. Paint will peel/chip off case. The case bottom connector will wear out quickly and not stay attached. Avoid this product.

This device will not last long! Its nice to hold in hands, have extra power, but mini USB port placed in case round corner. So each time when plug USB in to case port its make a break tension and sooner or later mini usb port will be broke off (inside). So I open it, and i found out two bed things
1) mini USB port holds on chip body just on two 1mmx1mm flat pure soldered fields!!!!
2) wire connections are too small and fragile for repairs
So I recommend to save money for something else!

Awesome case for my iPhone 4S! My first one had both sides coming off, but when I took it to the AT&T store they instantly replaced it. It's a very convenient device to have.

Just like other users I have the same problem with the micro usb port breaking off inside the juice pack. I'm on my third one.

Ihave owned several Mophie Juice Packs and have had quality problems with everyone. The last worked great for about 8 months then wouldn't charge my phone. For this reason I don't recommend this product.

I've use Mophie products for many years now (first with the 3GS) and I find their products ***indispensable*** (especially when traveling).

To reduce weight, the case is mostly plastic, including the metal looking ring around the outside. The case does scratch easily and will show wear and tear quickly. However you don't buy this case for looks, you buy this case because you need the extra battery. And on that front, the Mophie Juice Pack Air works as advertised.

I've had my mophie juice pack air for a little over a week. I've yet to drop it, yet the black paint is chipping off the back and top corner, revealing a cheap looking shiny black plastic. Also, the side bumper is just cheap plastic. I'm certain that it would provide no protection if it was dropped. Speaking of that, my cheap plastic bumpers mysteriously have dirt marks, I've already contacted the company and am planning on returning it.

I'm convinced that all of the positive reviews are from people who have only had the case for a couple of days. Because even I have to admit that the case was nice and functional while it lasted.

My biggest problem with the iphone4 is the battery life. So I decided to get a Mophie Air. I had it plugged into my computer, and it fell off the desk, with the cord still attached. It never worked again. I think the place where you attach the cord to the Mohie is very delicate. I then bought the Juice Pack Plus, and I believe it is a better product. It feels nicer in your hand, and has more battery life. Sure, it's a little heavier than the Air, but not by much. I am now very careful with cord connection.

First, I have used the Mophie all over the world (both the current and previous inferior version) and it has saved my cookies too many times to count to be able to charge up wherever I happen to be. I have been such a fan, that I have given it as a gift several times. The issue I wanted to alert is that my Mophie just killed by iPhone4 battery. I have been having increasing problems with the battery(of course just after the two year warranty and yes I reloaded the exchange mail) and when I just replaced the battery in the iPhone4, the repair guy yelled "holy..." as he opened the case (never a good thing). Seems that the iPhone battery was twice its normal width and the guy said it could have exploded. He thinks it was the Mophie - I only charge the phone through the Mophie - but he said that he only has seen this problem in Blackberry's before - so I wonder if its a micro-USB prob since that is the cable for both and perhaps that format is not ideal. Either way, don't exclusively charge your iPhone through the Mophie - great for extra juice but not for all the time charging. Of course, could have been my IPhone - but never had a battery issue for almost two years with the old Mophie
