    Total waste of money

    It seemed like a great plan at first. Hey, double the power time of my phone! The first issue I had is that it makes my phone bulky and heavy, which is understandable since is is a battery after all. However, drop it once and forget about it. Mophie claims that this is a protective cover and battery all in one (they need to change that declaration to battery pack only). Perhaps if I dropped my phone on the couch, it would be okay, but since I dropped it on the floor, it instantly turned into a piece of junk. The unfortunate thing is that the area were the charger port is has less than an eighth of an inch of cover on either side, so that was where it was quite susceptible and where it broke. Had the charger port not been in such a stupid place, it might not have broken like it did. Now that it was that damaged, the one year warranty was moot, so I was left to fix it the best that I could so that I could still use the phone. It worked fine for a couple of months and eventually it started getting extremely hot to use and the charger port wouldn't work to charge it. So, I pretty much spent 80 bucks to use this thing for a few months before it was basically inoperable. Never again!

    Mophie makes low quality, short life products

    This is the 2nd charger for my 5s, I returned the first when it stopped charging after 4 months, now I've had this for another 4 months and it's not charging. The surface of the cover gets easily scratched, I guess they make these to last 4 months, but for 80$ It's a rip-off.

    Piece of Junk

    My first Mophie, for 3GS, was great. The one for my 4S is junk. The connector for the charging cable became loose and broke after about a year. I've considered purchasing a new one, thinking mine might have been a fluke. After reading these reviews I see it was not. Many people have the same problem. For such an expensive item it should last a lot longer. I won't buy anymore Mophie products.

    Terrible Product. Don't waste your money!

    I could not use the product! I do not get good service at my house, therefore the service i do get is crucial, and the mophie case made my phone lose service. The product would work great if you got good service all of the time, but it made my phone lose a bar of service at all times. I did not have a problem charging the case or my phone with the product, but i only used it for two days!

    Great design but bad charging jack

    I love the way this thing looks. It's got a great clean design and works well when it works. But unbelievably it's got a problem with the USB charging jack. I sent my first one back thinking it was defective. They sent me a new one. Immediately the jack loosened up and it charges intermittently like the one before. I thought it was me until I read the reviews from other buyers here. It's outrageous that they haven't recalled all of them and redesigned it.

    this is a great product if it didn't keep breaking down I'm on #2 in a year and a half for a $100.00 you would think it would be made better
    and they do act like it is your fault this thing stops charging. I'm good I won't purchase another one. :-(

    Mophie = Bad Product, Bad Warranty, & Bad Service

    First you have to have a special connector on the red to use any headphones.. Try keeping tabs on a 3" piece of plastic. Then you have to have a specific adaptor to charge (Keep one in every location you charge). Top it off all the models (3) I have had broke and they give you the run around in customer service. It acts as a protector, but that's an expensive protector! Don't waste your $!

    Mophie juice pack = waste your money

    save your money. do not buy battery juice packs. Mophie mini usb cable will not communicate with itunes, my 2014 bmw, old stereo in Dodge nothing. Requires that you open the case or split case to get to iPhone connector. Do this for 4 months and case physically breaks. fine if you are 100% wireless and do not need to connect your iphone to computer.

    Lousy product design. Beware !!

    The miniUSB cable does not fit at all in the jack, so it impossible to charge the unit. This is just lousy product design, and it is near-criminal to continue to sell this product.
    I returned this product to the store about 30 minutes after I bought it, and there they told me that almost all these Mophie Juice Packs are being returned to the store. To their credit, they returned my money without further ado. However, they continue to sell these faulty devices to other nonsuspecting customers, and that's a shame.

    Does not serve it's purpose for very long

    This product is known to have a flaw in the charging jack and it is still being sold to consumers. My charging port broke after a little over a month and will require repair. I will be avoiding mophie and letting everyone know that they willingly sell defective devices. Please avoid this this holiday season.

    horrible product

    2nd time in use it got so hot after turning the switch to green to charge the phone, that I stopped the charge.....a day later fully charged again, got hot, and the max it would charge the phone was 30%.........why do apple sell this product, i.e. santa monica store...........wish I had researched this before the buy........the reason I did not was I though it would be OK if apple was selling it!

    Jack problems, case worked for about three months, not interested in returning, not worth it------would not recommend at all save your money!!!!! Would not have even rated it one star but had to in order to submit.

    Mophie Packs are too expensive to fail so soon.

    I am sad to say that the Mophie Juice Packs are not products that last long beyond the warranty period of one year. When I first purchased my Mophie Pack in June 2012 I really thought I would get at least 24 to 36 Months. At 15 months it failed. After contacting them, they have no interest other than suggesting to buy a new one. I am finished with this company. The Mophie company has poor quality control and very poor customer service. The Mophie Juice Pack I purchased was carefully handled never abused in 15 months. Problem is, they aren't cheap and after 12 months you are on your own. I should not have mislead my family and friends the first year I owned it. Some of their Mophie Juice Packs have failed about the same time frame as mine. Apple, don't endorse this product. There are better alternatives out there. Mophie is doing a dis-service to IPhone owners.

    This was a great product, but it lasted less than a year before the charging assembly became too loose to be used. The internal connection to the charging port also became loose and would loose and gain connection unless it was placed on a flat surface and left alone to recharge.

    A co-worker of mine has had the same issue. Don't expect the product to last more than a year.

    Terrible quality of product

    I've purchased two of these batteries in the past 14 months. The first one fell apart on me -- paint chipping, metal peeling off -- so I replaced it thinking that perhaps I had just put more wear and tear on it than I thought. But the second one has been even worse -- after five months the jack has become so loose and ill-fitting I can no longer charge the pack. Plus the paint and metal is also once again coming apart. I like the battery aspect, but I wish Mophie would do a much better job of quality control on the components and construction.

    I'm going to write them and see if they'll offer me a free replacement. If not, I will have to say this is a huge waste of your money -- look elsewhere for better.

    I bought one and after 6 weeks all the paint started to peel and its all scratched up. They replaced it and now the replacement unit is even worse. The button on the back has fallen off, the paint has peeled off again and the bottom piece has literally fallen apart.

    im amazed that they released this product with such shoddy manufacturing practices...

    do not buy this......

    Horrible Experience

    I'm on my 2nd Morphie Juice Pack.

    The first stopped working within 2 days of purchasing it. Once the battery pack was charged it got extremely hot when I tried to charge the phone and then cycled between charging the phone and not charging it.

    I exchanged that one for another unit only to have the same problem re-occur 2 months later.
