    Nearly Perfect

    • Written by from Chicago

I've been a mophie juice pack user since the iPhone 3G and the product has only gotten better.

The Juice Pack Air is intended to charge a dead battery up to approximately 70% full and it delivers again and again. If you're looking for a full charge, check out the Juice Pack Plus as it's marginally thicker and delivers a complete full charge.

The Juice Pack Air is stylish with the two-tone colors (though I wish it came entirely in black) and functional at the same time. My only complaints are that the volume and sleep buttons were pass through like the Juice Pack Plus and that the LED lights would shut off after fully charged. If you have larger fingers the buttons can be hard to push with the opening on the Juice Pack Air and the LED lights can be very bright when they are all illuminated in a dark room.

Very comvenient for docking in the car

    • Written by from McKinney

I was drawn to this product because it has a bottom cap to get access to the dock with the phone still in the case. With Mophie's other offerings, you have to remove a top cap and then remove the phone from the case to dock it. The phone "snaps" into the case, so even with the bottom cap removed, the phone is secure.

I only have two very minor complaints. Firstly, the status LEDs are rather bright, especially when I charge it on my night stand. I would also prefer that the center of gravity of the case be lower to make the phone easier to type on when in the case. I find that my hands and wrists are straining more to keep the phone upright than with my iPhone 3GS in its Juice Pack Air.

    One FLAW!

    • Written by from Redondo Beach

My iPhone 4S is always in use during the day when I'm not home. The Mophie is a must have accessory for the iPhone 4/4S. I'm not sure if it really gives you twice the battery life (iPhone 4/4S battery + Mophie Juice Pack) I can't accurately determine that. But I know that when I go to work in the morning both are 100% and when I get home I've used 120% of the battery combined. The case itself fits pretty well in my hands which is a good thing for me because I have big hands and trying to text without Mophie on is like Elephant trying to neatly peel a banana. Even if you have medium to small hands it will still feel pretty comfortable in your hands regardless.

But there is ONE FLAW and it took a month for it to reveal itself. The mini usb connection, I'm not sure whether its the male or female connection but now when I connect the cable to the Mophie to charge both my iPhone 4S and the Mophie it will not charge unless I press the mini usb connection a certain way. Before I was able to just plug it and it will charge. Theres nothing wrong with the iPhone therefore its the Mophie's mini usb port or the charge cable itself.

With the 4S battery, it's a life saver

    • Written by from Apison

I can make it through a normal day and end up at about 10% battery on my iPhone 4S. But when traveling, for business or pleasure, my phone, data and app consumption goes up meaning the battery life goes down. The Juice Pack keeps me from having to ration battery power when my usage is abnormally high. The 4S uses more battery...the Mophie solves that problem quite effectively while adding a tolerable amount of bulk and weight.

    Love it .... but

    • Written by from arlington

I bought mophi on September 2011 I really love it. The best part is that it truly protects the phone. It's a very durable case. The only problem I have with it is that the plug may not last more than a few months. The plug became loose...though the case was still working just fine. I contacted mophie a few days ago I hope they give me a solution. Great product, but it has its flaws.

    Charging Jack Fix. Read This

    • Written by from West Jordan

I have found a fix to address the charging jack on the juice pak plus. Should work the same for the juice pak air when you find that the cable falls out of the jack because it appears to be loose. On the side of the case that the jack is located you can peel off the plastic side piece down to where the hole is for the jack. Go slow and steady. Underneath is light glue that remains sticky so you can put the piece back on when you're done. Once you peel down to the where the jack is stop and cut with a large size nail clipper. Hold the plastic piece in your hand and trim the bottom off so the piece is shorter. Then trim the other side of the hole for the jack on the piece still attached to the bottom of the juice pak; essentially you are cutting out the hole on the case so when you plug in the cable it will fit more snugly and not fall out. Wish I could attach a picture here but it works great! Mophie has an engineering flaw that needs to be addressed but this is a good fix for now.

    So far so good...I guess.

    • Written by from EDMONTON

For my first test I drained my iphone4 to 0% and began charging it with a "fully" charged juice pack (I charged the juice pack for about 4 hours after I took it out of the box and while it charged my phone I didnt perform any functions on my phone. I just kept the screen black but in standby). On the first attempt my phone charged to 68%. On my second attempt I charged the juice pack over night and repeated the same test. This time my phone charged to exactly 80%. Perhaps giving the juice pack a full overnight charge accounted for the difference. I have not tested the juice pack for my own daily use yet so I cant comment on its performance in that regard. Daily use will obviously vary from person to person and how they use their phone. Personally the 80% charge seems satisfactory to me.

    Pretty Cool

    • Written by from Mississauga

I had the Mophie Juice Pack Air for my iPod Touch. I immediately went to get the Mophie for my iPhone 4. I absolutely love the look and feel of this case!

I was expecting for the case to give the phone a full charge. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't getting a full charge. Then, I realized if I turned the case on around 30%, I would get an almost full charge.

In conclusion, I really, REALLY like this case. It is by far the best looking charging case for the iPhone 4 out there. It's way past the competition in terms of aesthetics and functionality.

    Very Pleased

    • Written by from Coral Gables

I have been using mine for several months now, and it works beautifully.

I have only two complaints / regrets. The first is that the Juice Pack requires using a MicroUSB rather than Apple's proprietary cable; the second is that it is such an exact fit (a good quality, don't get me wrong), that putting on a screen cover is difficult.

These two niggling complaints notwithstanding, I am very pleased with the Juice Pack.

    replacement cap

    • Written by from Glendale

I love the battery and cover... except that over the 3 months that I have had it the cap has fallen off countless times usually when I am trying to take the phone out of my pocket. Once because of this I stepped on it...after that it still worked...but it fell off for the last time tonight and now I can't find it... unfortunately I was not in an area i expect to be in again and it was dark. I can't find a replacement part for the cap online on Morphie site and I asked a friend who works at the physical apple store i bought it at to see if they sold the replacement there and she said they didn't. Hoping someone will be able to help when Morphie is open on Monday.

    Is good

    • Written by from Miami

For those of you who wants a long lasting talk time, this is the product you need.
It adds more weight and bulk but if you are looking for more battery this is just perfect.
My pros and cos no matter the order:
Pros: 1. You can sync with the cover on (micro sd port)
    2. Adds a lot of battery (using whatsapp, email, music, twitter from 8am and when it was 11pm the iPhone still have 30% battery
Cons: 1. Hard to access the lower button volume when you in a call
    2. Iphone won't look again as an iPhone, kind of bulky
    3. It adds more weight, i got accustom.

    Absolutely Fabulous.... but

    • Written by from Cranbourne North

The case does exactly as advertised and looks great with a matt screened iPhone... however the only issue I have had since purchase is removal of the phone, it is frightening to see that there is now a slight bend in the side of my $90 case. I didn't do anything strange or abnormal with it just removed the phone once (which was rather difficult) to the instructions given and when I put the phone back in there was that bend! :O

Great battery life though, looks fantastic and feels soft in your hand.

    Major weakness ruins it..

    • Written by from St. John's

Great case for extended battery life on iPhone 4s (when it's working, I rate at 4 stars), but as has been mentioned ALOT.. the mini USB plug is extremely delicate.
Mine came loose within 2 months from normal usage and will no longer connect to charge.
I contacted Mophie about replacement, waiting for an answer.
Problem really needs to be addressed.
If the battery case used a standard iPhone interface on the bottom I am sure it would be much more durable.

    Not Bad...

    • Written by from Woodmere

The best part is that it truly protects the phone. It's a very durable case. The only qualm I have with it is that the plug may not last more than a few months. I've already had the case replaced because the plug became loose...though the case was still working just fine. I contacted mophie and they sent me a new case within two weeks. Great product, but it has its flaws.

    You should buy it anyway.

    Great device

    • Written by from Westminster

Its a great device and does everything it says. The only draw back is that the input for plugging it in to the power source has dislodged after less than a month. I haven't even dropped my phone yet, so I don't know why it would do that already.

Works OK, but not the greatest anymore

    • Written by from LAS VEGAS

Had the one for my 3Gs - worked fine, took over a year to "kill it". However, this one hasnt lasted 6 months and already is starting to loose its length of charge. It also gets hot (we have two, so i know mine is not just a defect). GReat for traveling, or keeping for emergencies when you know you wont be near an outlet for a while, however, for daily use - just not there. Also the top slides off a lot, and is not impact resistant. I would buy it again, just know its limitations.

    Older Version

    • Written by from Springfield

My older version of the product works very well, but there are some negatives. Left unused, the unit will indicate that it is fully charged when it is nowhere near that status. Top plastic piece is flimsily built, but only decorative. Gets a little warm in heavy use. Subjectively seems to be a little short of the doubling of battery time that was advertised. I suggest not leaving the drained unit connected to phone as it seems to drain phone's battery at that point. All-in-all a very good product.

    A must for travelers

    • Written by from Valencia

I've use Mophie products for many years now (first with the 3GS) and I find their products ***indispensable*** (especially when traveling).

To reduce weight, the case is mostly plastic, including the metal looking ring around the outside. The case does scratch easily and will show wear and tear quickly. However you don't buy this case for looks, you buy this case because you need the extra battery. And on that front, the Mophie Juice Pack Air works as advertised.

Great Improvement over last version, but....

    • Written by from Houston

I owned six Mophie Juice packs for my 3Gs and ended up with zero. They would get HOT (was afraid of being burned), wouldn't hold a charge, and were significantly bulkier. On a recent flight, another passenger had the V2 Juicepack Air for the 4s and she evangelized about it's positive improvements.

So I decided to try again.

The heat issue is no longer an issue.
It charged up overnight (don't know how long, but it was empty when I unpackaged it).
It "charges" with my old Mophie cables (I had numerous from the previous attempts) connected to my USB hub.

I can only "sync" it when it's connected directly to my MPB USB port using the old or new cable. My 1000maH powered USB hub doesn't have the "umph" needed to charge it and sync it.

Nothing as of yet, but give me a few days.....
