Difficult to set up. The steps are not intuitive at all - setting up the alarm to play the music on the iPhone/iPad requires an advanced degree.

The onboard controls would not respond once the device (iPhone or bluetooth receiver) plugged into one of dock connectors has gone into sleep mode.

Sounds okay. No match to the Bose Wave Radio.

Now that we are quickly replacing our i-devices, it is matter of time before we are left without a device with a 30-pin connector. When that happens, it will be promptly go out with the weekly trash.

    Prognosis Negative

This product is not good because of the low quality LED that causes the display screen to flicker.

The display is the most important feature in a product such as this. As such, it is not worth the price.

    Barely lasted a year

    • Written by from Grand Forks AFB

I had heard bad reports of Philips's reliability--sadly, this proved them right. I barely had this a year. It quit playing music from my iPhone, none of the buttons on the unit would work if anything was docked to it, and as of yesterday the display looks like it's written in Klingon. Even when it was working, the radio reception never was very good, and it is a pain to dock the iPad--you have to line it up just so. I won't be buying Philips anymore!

    Dock-yes, Radio-no

    • Written by from Woonona

This is a very practical dual dock, however, I chose the product because of the radio feature. I found it to be extremely clumsy to use with tuning at increments of 5 on the bandwidth, making it a laborious process. I only managed to tune into one local station, cant even access ABC Radio!

    Started my iPhone on fire

    • Written by from Los Altos

I liked it because of the speaker quality, but I never learned how to really set it up so I just used my iPhone alarm clock.

One night in the middle of the night it totally fried my iPhone and melted the entire bottom of the phone and melted the clock.

I am getting my money back!!!

    won't work with iPhone 4s

    • Written by from Huntington Beach

I bought this to charge my iPhone 4s and play music at the same time and to someday own an iPad to charge at the same time too. So far my iPhone charges in the dock but I get the music to play intermittently. Most of the time I get a, "this accessory is not supported by iPhone." I've tried my 3rd and 6th generation iPod Nano and they have no problem charging and playing music from the dock.
Another nuisance is the setup. I can't believe I actually had to look at the manual to set the time, and alarms. I'd always just play with it a little and be able to figure it out after a while.

Many factors lead to low rating here...

    • Written by from Galesburg

I received this today and the alarm would NOT let me choose FM (or buzzer) as a way to wake up. Called Philips. They could not find the problem. Had me send info for a replacement and I did, but have not heard back from them yet.
Documentation is spotty at best and does not give directions for using your idevice specifically with this alarm radio. I could not get my ipad OR my ipod to work as an alarm on this so I believe the software is buggy.
Also, they do not tell you that you cannot charge 2 ipads at once (even though they say any combination). A sticker right on the device says Dock 1 will NOT support an ipad.
Will revise if and when I ever get a fully functioning unit.
Lastly, when speaking to them, I gave them the serial number of the unit and they told me it was out of warranty. Bought through the Apple store 5 days before today?! That part is corrected but what else is screwy?!
