    Best Headphones on Market

These headphones are great for noise reduction, and great for sound. If you are looking for heavy bass, then go with the beats; otherwise these win hands down over every headphones on the market. If you go into the Apple store and ask them about the headphones, they will point you in this direction. I have had zero problems with them, and have owned them for a couple of years. Worth every penny.

I've had mine for over a year now. I use them religiously.

I've traveled around the world, studied at the library, relaxed at home, and slept with these on. By far the best headphones money can buy. The price is 100% justified. They are worth every penny if not more. However, these are worth it considering you know you'll be getting exceptional customer service from Bose along with the headphones.

    I highly recommend these.

These headphones do an awesome job of noise reduction. They're very comfortable to wear. Battery life is great (I've replaced batteries only once in 3 weeks because I forgot they were turned on). Bose obviously put A LOT of work into ensuring the sound was very clear. The sound is not as bolsterous as some headsets, but also does not leak as heavily. The only thing I hate is that there's no locking mechanism on the headset cable which leaves a lot of room for the cable being pulled from the headset. All around, I've never owned or tested a better pair. Worth every penny!

First off, I'm a headphone person. I've owned 3 pairs of noise reduction headphones in the last 10 years. The first pair I owned was a Sennheiser pcx250, which had minimal noise reduction. After several years of use, I decided to upgrade in 2008 and tried out the Bose QC2 and Sennheiser PCX 450. The Bose had better noise reduction, but worse sound quality than the PCX 450. I wanted to like the PCX 450; however, I kept noticing a weird low frequency ringing that would occur while moving my head wile wearing the PCX 450. Ultimately I kept the Bose QC2 after about a week long trial of the QC2 and PCX 450.

On to the review of the QC15 (probably reflected in many other reviews)... I've been using the QC2's regularly as I stated before, so I can comment directly on the relative improvement of the QC15's. The QC15 noise reduction is great. Much, much better than my old pair of QC2 (some of which may be just due to the worn ear cushions). There is much more noise reduction at low frequencies. My HVAC noise, which used to be audible with the QC2's, is not audible and footfalls from the apartment above are also not audible while wearing the QC15's. Given my initial trial of the QC2 and PCX 450's, I can also say that the QC15 noise reduction is likely much better than the 450's as well. Sound quality of the QC15's is also noticeably better than the QC2's. Highs are brighter and crisper but lows may not be boosted as much (which I am fine with). Others may find the lack boosted lows annoying, I do not. I have not traveled with the QC15's yet, so I cannot comment on their performance on board aircraft. However, I am guessing they should be rather good.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 650's at work that I use occasionally to listen to music (they own them so I don't bring them home, spectacular sound quality). I highly recommend the HD 650's if you don't need noise reduction. The QC15's don't really compare to the sound quality of the HD650's in a quiet environment, but if you have to listen to music in a moderately noisy environment the QC15's are a good bet. Overall, sound quality of the QC15's is somewhere in between the QC2 and Sennheiser HD 650's. I'd bet they are on par with (or very close to) the Sennheiser PCX 450's, but with better noise reduction.

I was amazed at this product and bought it! Even at home or office, it removes the background drones from the multitude of devices we have running in our modern world. I have IEM (Ultimate Ears) that are nice, but can't be worn for too long, and I would say the Bose QC 15 is better. Unfortunately not my style to walk around with big headphones otherwise they would be the go to ones all the time...

I tested many different noice cancelling headphones before settling on these. The day after I picked them up my local Apple store, I took them to work and simply retreated into my own little world. I was amazed at the clarity of the sound. On some tracks I could actually hear the artists count to the beat. I love the case. It will protect the headphones in my carryon bag when I travel. The headphones themselves were comfortable; I was able to wear them most of my work day without my temples and ears hurting. I will never purchase another brand of noise cancelling headphones.

I use these ONLY for air travel. So I have used them 10 Times over 1 1/2 years.
The wire that attaches to the battery opening device came off. Now I have to pay $90 for a replacement pair! I think it is outrageous. Nothing should break after 10 times and cost $90. to replace.

I will NEVER buy any BOSE product again. I have been a long time BOSE buyer.

    Superb Performance but Bulky

    • Written by from HOUSTON

These headphones do a remarkable job of diminishing background noise, and their audio fidelity is excellent. My only complaints are that they are so big that carrying them in my messenger bag is a struggle and that it uses a battery that must be replaced after about 34 hours of use. Why not have a discreetly hidden charging port and use a rechargeable, built-in battery? Maybe the 16 will do that.

Note that when you have the headphones on and are not listening to music, there is a high-pitched buzz that can be annoying. The volume of the buzz is very low, and the frequency of the pitch is so high that many won't hear it--but it is there.

Game changer! I wear these more than I don't...

...I'm serious, so let me say this again: I have these on for a longer period of time when awake and at home than I do not, although I've figured out a way to lie down in bed and still have them on when I really need peace.

I feel that I need to go a lot further in my absolute praise of these Bose QC-15's: These headphones have significantly changed my life for the better in a couple of ways. For example, I suffer from anxiety, which is why I like to wear them all the time. I tend to spend a lot of time in front of my computer to work (and play), and during those (long) periods of time, I wear them always. They help me every day with the tremendous calming effect that they have on me and they're so incredibly comfortable that I sometimes forget that I have them on at all.

Another good example is airplane noise: I had never been able to sleep on planes before getting these. I actually look forward to flying again, because I know that when I take them out of their (very sturdy and sufficiently protective) case that is included, I'm about to cancel out the crying babies, people bickering, talking on cellphones, etc. You know who you are! ;-) The sound of the aircraft never really bothered me but it, too, is muffled to where it is reduced to little more than a distant and almost pleasant white noise.

Incidentally, these headphones are pretty good at playing back music, too. Ha! No, really! No matter what you like to listen to, the QC-15's will reproduce music phenomenally and accurately. Go get 'em. :-)

this headphone is a showpiece of modern technology

have been using it for 7 months and there are no cons...

you just can't hate the sound quality...as a headphone collector I never heard another pair of noise-cancelling headphones as good as this one.

    the noise-cancelling is simply stunning!

Love this product, one of a kind, and the price is pretty fair for such level of precision engineering

buy it, i guarantee you will not regret

insane headphones with only one flaw - not audiophile quality

while they are certainly wonderful headphones with excellent Bose sound, I still feel the same about the audio quality of these headphones as I do for all Bose products. Missing crispness and quality in the mids, mids/high, and the high. Not enough to bother me by no means. Bose has always made a quality product. These have replaced my beloved Sony Studio Monitors that are 21 years old as my favorite headphones. Still lacking compared to the Etymonic Research earbuds (much more comfortable tho). The noise canceling is second to none, these things are insane.

Having listened to music on headphones for over thirty years now, I never though any experience would rival that first experience with my Sony Walkman so may years ago; but my first experience with these headphones did. I know it's a cliche, but listening to music through them truly is like hearing it for the first time. I originally bought my husband a pair of these for Christmas and was so blown away that I had to get myself a pair. Bass is deep and punchy, highs and mids are crystal clear, and the separation is second to none. Get these and you'll never buy another brand of headphones.

Whether on a 16 hour flight to Europe, or in a data center with 96db ambient volume (fan noise from hundreds of servers), or driving down the highway (ALOT) I get tired of ambient white noise.

These headphones do a phenomenal job reducing the din, and along with it, the fatigue tha comes with it. Sure I'd like a smaller case to carry around, but since covering my ears is part of how they function, there's not much to fault Bose for regarding the size. I'll just have to get smaller ears.

Compared to other headphones, I tire of earbuds being stuck in my ears long before these bother me, and these are among the best sound of any I've used.

Just do it. Your ears are worth it.

I ordered the Bose Q15 headphones, and began to have second thoughts. However, once they arrived (just two days later, thanks Apple store), all doubt went away. From listening to music, to using the noise cancelling feature, I am amazed at the quality! The noise cancelling completely erased the dryer and the noise from the Wii! Definitely worth the money! The only downside is the size of the travel case, it is kinda big.

Best Present for someone who is going off to college

I have always loved good headphones but was never willing to spend more than around $150.00 on them due to the expense. When I started nursing school I purchased a pair of these after much debate and have been really pleased with them. They are the perfect gift for a studying college person or traveler. I use them all the time in the library even though the library is supposed to be quiet. They really help to eliminate miscellaneous noise and get you in the study zone faster.

The truth is that the sound is very good, but not mind blowing. They are very comfortable and will not fatigue you after several hours of wear. I am confident in saying that it was a very good purchase and the fact it includes a special headphone adapter for the iPhone was just a plus. If your on the fence... please know its worth the money for the sound canceling aspect of the headphones along with the great sound.
