This headphones are incredibly comfortable. They sound quality is absolutely outstanding. I've compared them with many other brands and this are hands down the best ones. The two specifics I can give about that are the following:
-This headphone made me re-discover my music, making me want to re-listen to all of it.
-I never realize how much awful noise there really is on a flight. THIS headphones get rid of all of it.
    100% worth every cent.

    Amazing Sound Quality!!!

I recently wanted to get a good pair of noise canceling/reducing headphones for my job which can get loud. I tried out a few but these were for sure the best. They have great noise reduction, when not playing music you can still here a little, but as long as you are playing music your surroundings are silent. The sound quality is also amazing, compared to several pairs of headphones I found that these were the best. These make me want to listen to music all day long, and listen to every song again! These are amazing and I suggest these to everyone.

... because of these. They tend to be loud and I work from home and the noise canceling keeps at bay even the loudest rap bass.

    Nobody gets shot. :D

And the music sounds a w e s o m e , too. I'm nearly deaf in one ear and really appreciate high quality sound.

    Conference calls are seamless.

    Win!

I own a pair of MDR-NC60 and they seemed fine by my standards, used them for years and was always pretty ok with them....until an in-flight aquaintance lent me his QC15s, It was a pretty long flight so I toyed with them a lot. Result: Bought myself a pair on the duty free shop between connecting flights.
They cover what to me is most important in this kind of product: Light, Comfortable to the extreme and sound great (or don't make any sound at all for that matter).
I have now used them in-flight, at home, at the office, commuting and they have excelled in every way.
Battery life is +- as promised (some 30+hours) and that's about a weeks worth of juice for my particular use, and that is just fine.
Comfort is superb, 7 straight hours is my longest, but I was nowhere near my limit of comfort, so I rate them very well.
Sound / Noise Cancelling is awesome, they sound beautifully. Just a tweak on the equalizer as bass tend to be a little deep, but that's about it. NC qualities are magnificent, and really makes you forget the world around you.
Cord has iPhone controls (and a separate regular cord also included) so that is a nice plus.
Comes in a nice hard case, which is not bulky at all, so no problem making it a permanent part of your carry-on.
    Just 2 things I don't like:
They won't work at all unless ON, so no battery power= no music, no headset.
They don't seem to have a "monitor" button to quickly check the world, so if someone talks to you, you have to take them off.
Nothing serious, but my previous pair had them, so Im used to them I guess.

I've had mine for over a year now. I use them religiously.

I've traveled around the world, studied at the library, relaxed at home, and slept with these on. By far the best headphones money can buy. The price is 100% justified. They are worth every penny if not more. However, these are worth it considering you know you'll be getting exceptional customer service from Bose along with the headphones.

    I highly recommend these.

This is my first Bose product.

I listened to other headphones that were in the QC15s price range, I'm no audiophile, but these sounded better by leaps and bounds over all the offerings from Monster, and others found at the Apple store.

The bass is just right. The bass will rock your ear drums, but it still does it in a clean and tight fashion. The highs are crisp and clear, I hear music totally different now.

My favorite part is the noise cancellation. Whatever it is that they've figured out to cancel the noise around you, the QC15s do it amazingly. On long road trips(when I'm not the driver) one of our cars has an out of round tire that produces the most awful resonating drone, and as soon as you flip the switch, silence. It's absolutely incredible...These are by far my favorite gadget that I own. I love the style, they're not too big, and the rings around your ears are super soft, and comfortable.

I highly recommend buying these headphones, but the best thing you can do is simply go to a retailer and put them on, and try them out yourself. I think though, you'll like these.

I was reading about this Headphones since a few months ago and some people said that its not so good for the street but they are perfect, I mean, they obviously won't erase the exterior sound, but the name is very clear "Acustic Noise Cancelling" they Cancell just the extreme Noise, no the entire sound, I think they Worth every penny and i am so happy because finally i had it.

I just put these headphones on after buying them at the apple store and i must say that these headphones produce one of the best sound experiences that I have ever listened too. The music is clear and you hear nearly nothing of the outside world. they may not look as nice as beats or other promo headphones but they definitely sound 10x better. one of the best things is probably the noise canceling. as i already mentioned it is incredible. also many people say that these headphones do not deliver an adequate amount of bass. However the bass is great and you can always change the equalizers. Althought I did not test the mic or remote yet I am convinced they will be great So for all you people out there headphones like beats or soul by ludacris or any other celebrity endorsed headphones may look nice and be popular but for the price tag on them (which is often just the same as these) you will be more satisfied getting these headphones. There is one downside however and that is that you can not use these headphones without one AAA battery as they will not work in passive mode this is not a problem though because all you need too two is carry one or two extras with you in the carrying case (also a great extra) and you'll be fine as the battery will last c. 35 hours. Oh and one more thing, (yeah thats a steve jobs quote) they also come with an airplane adapter which is very practical. so to round this review of these headphones are great and are really worth the 300 dollars they also offer better performance that the beats so buy them if you're thinking about getting new headphones.

I work in a cube farm surrounded by drama queens . . . . I bought these in a last ditch effort to preserve my sanity. They do get a little warm and I wish they came in a neck wrap style but I do love them.

The noise cancelling works well and when you turn on the music, you can set the volume lower. Hence, I'm preserving both my hearing and my sanity.

I bought these Bose QC 15's for myself, to get some decent sound quality and awesome noise canceling. The sound quality was much better than I expected!
If you turn on the headphones, it eliminates 50% of the background noise. Once you turn your music with about 50% volume, it eliminates 95% of the background noise. Once the music is turned up 80% volume and up, 99.9% of the noise is blocked. Just simply amazing!

Just bought these headphones last week and had a 6 hour flight home the same day. After having heard only good things about from my uncle, I had to get a pair! Not believing that they would cancel the noise from the plane's engine, I was totally amazed when I started the noise canceling and by the time I put on the music, all of the noise from the engines was gone!

Even my fiance, who was against the purchase from the beginning, was amazed and did not want to let me have them back after having tried them on!

These are the first quality set of headphones I have owned. Haven't found another that comes close to the noise canceling + quality. The mic is nice too, works well for games. Noise canceling works so well I have to sometimes take them off to hear people that are talking to me.

    Wow, great noise reduction!

First off, I'm a headphone person. I've owned 3 pairs of noise reduction headphones in the last 10 years. The first pair I owned was a Sennheiser pcx250, which had minimal noise reduction. After several years of use, I decided to upgrade in 2008 and tried out the Bose QC2 and Sennheiser PCX 450. The Bose had better noise reduction, but worse sound quality than the PCX 450. I wanted to like the PCX 450; however, I kept noticing a weird low frequency ringing that would occur while moving my head wile wearing the PCX 450. Ultimately I kept the Bose QC2 after about a week long trial of the QC2 and PCX 450.

On to the review of the QC15 (probably reflected in many other reviews)... I've been using the QC2's regularly as I stated before, so I can comment directly on the relative improvement of the QC15's. The QC15 noise reduction is great. Much, much better than my old pair of QC2 (some of which may be just due to the worn ear cushions). There is much more noise reduction at low frequencies. My HVAC noise, which used to be audible with the QC2's, is not audible and footfalls from the apartment above are also not audible while wearing the QC15's. Given my initial trial of the QC2 and PCX 450's, I can also say that the QC15 noise reduction is likely much better than the 450's as well. Sound quality of the QC15's is also noticeably better than the QC2's. Highs are brighter and crisper but lows may not be boosted as much (which I am fine with). Others may find the lack boosted lows annoying, I do not. I have not traveled with the QC15's yet, so I cannot comment on their performance on board aircraft. However, I am guessing they should be rather good.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 650's at work that I use occasionally to listen to music (they own them so I don't bring them home, spectacular sound quality). I highly recommend the HD 650's if you don't need noise reduction. The QC15's don't really compare to the sound quality of the HD650's in a quiet environment, but if you have to listen to music in a moderately noisy environment the QC15's are a good bet. Overall, sound quality of the QC15's is somewhere in between the QC2 and Sennheiser HD 650's. I'd bet they are on par with (or very close to) the Sennheiser PCX 450's, but with better noise reduction.

contrary to what appears to be popular consensus, these have tight, and satisfying bass. More than beats in my opinion. But it is much beter balanced. The noise cancelling is extremely good. very comfortable. and doesnt look as funky as you think. very classy and stylish. feels solid and well built. great product... five stars

Game changer! I wear these more than I don't...

...I'm serious, so let me say this again: I have these on for a longer period of time when awake and at home than I do not, although I've figured out a way to lie down in bed and still have them on when I really need peace.

I feel that I need to go a lot further in my absolute praise of these Bose QC-15's: These headphones have significantly changed my life for the better in a couple of ways. For example, I suffer from anxiety, which is why I like to wear them all the time. I tend to spend a lot of time in front of my computer to work (and play), and during those (long) periods of time, I wear them always. They help me every day with the tremendous calming effect that they have on me and they're so incredibly comfortable that I sometimes forget that I have them on at all.

Another good example is airplane noise: I had never been able to sleep on planes before getting these. I actually look forward to flying again, because I know that when I take them out of their (very sturdy and sufficiently protective) case that is included, I'm about to cancel out the crying babies, people bickering, talking on cellphones, etc. You know who you are! ;-) The sound of the aircraft never really bothered me but it, too, is muffled to where it is reduced to little more than a distant and almost pleasant white noise.

Incidentally, these headphones are pretty good at playing back music, too. Ha! No, really! No matter what you like to listen to, the QC-15's will reproduce music phenomenally and accurately. Go get 'em. :-)
