These are very good ear buds. It has well balanced sound. So just telling you noise isolation is not the same as noise cancelling it just creates a seal in the ear canal which blocks a significant amount of outside noise from my experience, still not as much as noise cancelling but still really good from these little things. I would say that if you don't want to break the bank and still get some nice headphone these are very good!!

    Decent for the price

Sound quality was decent but not great. Bass and clarity were both average but didn't wow me. Ear bud fit was amazing (very comfortable) and the noise-isolation was great. However, volume controls did not work with iPhone 3G, and the mic was not great. If I wasn't holding the mic to my mouth the listener couldn't hear anything I was saying. All-in-all I ended up returning it because there were too many little things that didn't work right for me. But, if you're not going to be using it as a hands free device and just need it for sound its good to try for the price. Apple will let you return it for a full refund within 14 days if you don't like it.

    left ear not working

Do not buy these headphones! I bought them on a trip to the US only weeks ago and the salesperson told me he uses them and they're the best headphones in terms of volume if you're not looking to break the bank.

The sound is good and the noise cancellation makes it much easier to listen to music, podcasts etc but after using them sparingly on no more than 50% volume for 2 weeks the left earphone has already lost most of its volume. Being in Australia I now have to organise a return/refund through the US Apple or Logitech and I'm very frustrated! $40 down the drain and I will never look to buy Logitech headphones again!

    Good fit, No Bass

Very comfortable and adaptable to various sized ears, but for music it is all highs and midrange. Compared to the Apple headset, this one sounds not so good. I've owned Scosche and Sony ear buds, which both had far more bass and better sound.

    Stopped working for no reason...

I bought a pair of these during Labor Day weekend. This pair worked for a month, then no audio. The worse part was that the 30-day period (where you can return the item to the Apple store for an exchange) had elapsed.

I'm sticking w/ Apple earphones and ear buds. Those seem to last longer with me...

    No bass!!! Horrible quality

These uncomfortable, unclear headphones are not worth 40 dollars. The sound is horrible without bass and it's not very clear. They hurt to put in your ear, and even though it comes with multiple sizes, its still uncomfortable. DONT BUY.

I should have opened them up after buying them and plugged them into an iPod in the store! Because I didn't, I now have to make another trip back to the Apple Store. My old, white, cheap Apple headphones sounded much better. The 200vi's are so bad, I'm wondering if both speakers were blown - there was almost zero bass. Just for fun, I compared them against my $39 Koss Porta-Pros and the 200vi headset REALLY sucked!! The Porta-Pros have a lifetime guarantee and are impossible to beat for 2-3 times the price, but they're an "over-the-ear" headphone and I wanted an in-ear "noise isolating" headset. Time to do some more shopping : - (

I bought these, not looking to spend a fortune on a headset. I wanted one I would be able to plug in and not worry about charging it. I love this! I use it all the time, whether driving, shopping or doing stuff around the house. Nobody ever complains about not being able to hear me, and I can hear great. I definitely recommend these!!

    Great for the NYC subway

These are my first in-ear headphones.

The sound quality is fine; they don't seem any better/worse than the standard issue Apple earbuds to me.

The noise isolation is great for loud environments. I listen to podcasts on the NYC subway. With earbuds I had to pause it every time a train was arriving/departing (loudest volume wasn't loud enough); with these I can keep on listening.

The noise isolation makes it weird to talk on the phone (or to other people in general). You can't hear your own voice. Maybe you could get used to it, but it's easier for me to pop out one of the ear pieces.

Keep the set of rubber pieces around for a few days, to be absolutely sure you have the right size for each ear.

OK, if you enjoy listening to music through a tin can, purchase these as there is absolutely NO bass. You have been warned.

Eh, thought they would be better

I am neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with these headphones. The sound is crisp and clear, but the bass is so low that it is disappointing. They definitely are not worth $39 though. I bought these as a replacement to my standard Apple headphones that came with my iPod touch. I use these for my gym workouts and during my breaks at Rutgers. They do stay in your ear, however, if you use them while running you have to readjust them into place. Besides exercising, they are fine. The ability to be able to raise the volume, pause, play, and switch between songs from the buttons on the cord is a plus. Are they better than the Apple issued headphones? I would say slightly.

The performance of these $40 headphones is equivalent to that of a $20 one, or one which is even cheaper. The remote and mic works pretty good though. The drivers inside the headphones are of very poor quality and reproduce sound with very low fidelity. The drivers are not strong enough to provide good bass either. But noise isolation is pretty good. Even though 5 pairs of buds are provided, wearing even the correct size will make you uncomfortable within an hour of use.
People switching from regular headphones won't complain a lot but if you are used to decent ear buds, don't buy these. For me, i will never buy any ULTIMATE EARS headphones ever.

The sound quality is pretty good on these, but the mic is awful, no one can ever here what I'm saying. Also i can't get them to stay in my ears. I've tried all the options it comes with it. I'll be honest, my ear hole might be the problem, either way don't get these if you want to work out with them.
