    Broke quickly and doesn't work.

This looked like a great item to keep from using batteries in the Magic Mouse. But one end of the plate containing the rechargeable battery is so fragile that in trying to put it in place it bent and broke within a few minutes even with gentle handling. When I finally got the batteries in and could hold it in place with my finger, it wouldn't work. I don't think it's even worth returning at this point. Part of the problem is the instructions are so minimal it's hard to tell how to put the rechargable batteries in, set it up and charge it.

    AWESOME Battery Pack/Recharging Unit

I love being able to place my magic mouse on this awesome charger and I know I will have a fully charged mouse by the next time I use it. Plus if you forget or are not able to charge your mouse for a couple of days, NO WORRIES!! The charge lasts a long time as well. Beats having to buy loads of batteries and you don't have to worry about having to change the batteries like disposable batteries. Just place on the magic charger!! No fumbling with removing the back and knocking the batteries out and putting it all back together!! I definite MUST buy for magic mouse owners!! :-)

A godsend considering how difficult I find Apple's battery housing seems to be to replace the batteries...

The only small issue I've had with my mobee is sometimes the battery level is out of date - not a problem if you use the charger regularly & assume it may be fixed at some point.

I recommend just getting the Apple rechargeable batteries...

I got this as a gift a few days ago. It's not a terrible product, at least it works... kinda. But, for the price it's not worth it. Go on over and get the Apple Batteries, they're only $30, there's more batteries, and you can use them for other things. This thing is just basically a fancy piece of technology... that isn't as good as some other options.

    Less plastic, please

The product works great and the battery holds an incredible charge, but I wish that everything that's silver were metal instead of plastic. Also, the silver paint on the battery-plate is started to rub off and reveal the white plastic underneath.

Had mine on pre order from before they were released. Have been using for many happy months now with no issues. Mouse is always charged and is such a breeze to maintain battery power.

The Magic Charger works great for me. Very impressed by it so far.

The Magic Charger seemed like a great idea and what I read about it was all good and so far I haven't been disappointed. I highly recommend the device. It works as promised.

I bought two of them and it's been a few weeks with absolutely no issues. The Magic mouse on both mac minis always has power and is always connected and no wires to disconnect and no batteries to change. These two work so well I'm thinking of getting two more for my other macs.

    OUTstanding Product

The product idea is a very great concept as I highly support any green-incentives, so I brought it as soon as it was available. Initially I had a connective problem. The mouse and bluetooth would loose each other on a off randomly. It got to the point where I just put my regular re-chargbles back in.
Not wanting to admit defeat, I place the mobee battery pack back in about three weeks ago and ensured it was seated in tightly. I haven't had a problem since
This product is well worth the money. So all those that have connectivity issues, I suggest you make sure the pack is securely seated in placed and can't pop loose. And as far as the 80% level reading, I like others on here just place it on the pad every night night and I am good to good for a few days or even weeks depending on frequency of use of the mouse. I plan on buying another soon for my macbook.

    Did not fit

I was finally ready to take the plunge on this charger and was pretty excited when it arrived. However, the battery pack back would not stay secured to my Magic Mouse. I tried and tried and it would just pop off. So, I packaged it up and sent it back. Not sure if there is something different about my Magic Mouse or what. My MM is a few years old so maybe that is the issue and this product works wiith the newer one. Not sure. Anyway, back to the old rechargeable batteries for me. Too bad.

    Convenient but issues....

So i waited a year before getting this product to make sure and read some great reviews. Now that I have it I do love the fact that I don't have to worry about batteries but at the same time, It only charges the mouth to 80% no matter how many different things i try. I have ran the battery out completely and recharged it. I have also shut the mouse off at night so it would charge over night, and still only ever gets to 80%. Happy with this? Yes I am please with the product. Disappointed? Yes I am also not to impressed on the charge it holds only after I bought it brand new. Love the good, Deal with the Bad...

    Not a snug fit

    • Written by from Dubai

5 of 6 people found this useful

Since no one else reported this problem, it appears to be particular to some units only. In the unit I bought, the battery pack does not snugly fit into the magic mouse, which results in random on/off of the mouse because of the battery unit loose fit. This renders the unit pretty unusable!

    Not Ready For Prime Time

I have used this for nearly three months. The unit has become unreliable and now when charging the battery pack I get constant green blinking lights then once in a while a red one.

The bluetooth feature connects and disconnects so much now it has forced me to go back to regular batteries or rechargeable.

I would pass on this unit at it truly is a great idea... but it is not ready for prime time. Spend your money on a good AA rechargeable battery set.

    Wish I could return it.

    Bad half made product

This is a half made product, good idea but is a low quality product, battery pack is badly designed so the contacts bend easily and brake contact with the mouse. Waste of time and money :(

    OK, but...

This seems to work as advertised, but when I charge it on the base unit, hook it up to my MacBook pro and click the mouse on system preferences, it gives my a charge of just 82%. It was sitting on there for at least 12 hours, the light on the base unit was solid and not blinking so I am just wondering why I don't see a charge of 100%??

    Great Idea, Bad Engineering

I absolutely love the concept and enjoyed the mouse for the short time it worked. The battery pack started popping loose thereby causing the mouse to lose its connection with the computer. I constantly had to reseat the battery pack and reconnect it with the computer via SETTINGS. I finally gave up and called Apple. Being inside of the return window, I am sending it back and hoping for a redesign by Mobee. I suggest an AC/USB charger be added to allow for charging separate from the computer.

    Cheap

    • Written by from Watkinsville

8 of 12 people found this useful

The cover for the battery compartment for the Magic mouse is made of a fairly sturdy piece of what I would guess is aluminum. You remove this piece and the batteries and insert the rechargeable battery from the Mobee. The part of the Mobee that essentially replaces the battery compartment cover is cheap and flimsy plastic. The portion of this that is up against the rechargeable batter is fine. The other part however, the part that locks into the mouse is subject to damage that the regular cover would be unlikely to sustain. I inserted the battery and close the case and the Mobee did not "turn on" the mouse. So I put it back on the charger to see if it was charged and it was. I popped the battery back out to make sure I seated it properly and upon my reinstall, the tab on the cover that goes over the black latch essentially snapped making it impossible to firmly seat the batteries in the device. Great idea, cheap execution.

Induction Battery Pack has no power and is very malleable

    • Written by from Los Angeles

Put the induction battery pack in the mouse. Let it charge on base until base's light was a constant green. Tried to turn on the mouse, but had no success. I don't think the mouse is getting power because its little green light is never coming on. I want to push or re-seat the induction battery pack, but it is flimsy and only slightly stronger than a piece of aluminum foil. I will be returning it.

All good except for. . .

I haven't experienced most of the complaints noted on here.
The fit, the look, the connectivity, have all been fine.

My only complaint is the reported battery level indicator.
As many have stated, it only reports 80% at full charge.
Well mine only shows that for maybe an hour and then shows 2%. . . sometimes it only shows 2% at full charge (based on the solid green light indicating fully charged).
This means I can never know when it's going to die. I still have to keep a secondary mouse available just in case.
One user said he puts it on charge anytime he's not using it. This means the battery life will degrade way sooner than expected.
As stated in another review, it would good if Apple produced an alternative indicator suited to this device.
